Went in for a mani pedi and got turned away claiming short staffed. Rude as hell about it too.

I’ve been going here, exclusively, for several years. There is no better salon for nails & pedicures @ a reasonable price. The pedicure is the old fashioned kind with hot rocks & hot wax treatment as well as a great massage. Impossible to rate any higher. I’ve referred many people here & all have been very pleased.

Safe yourself the frustration and don’t go here. I went in today to get a new set of acrylic nails and I have never been so disappointed in how they turned out. First, I arrived on time to my appointment and the owner had written the time down wrong (even though I had just called an hour and a half before.) He was helping another client and asked her leave and come back later, even though he had already started on her. She was very nice about it, but it was very awkward. He then proceeded to the fastest, sloppinest job, where he got acrylic all over my hands and under my nails. I asked him to file it off from under my nails and he refused saying it was my natural nail, when I told him it wasn’t, he said it was glue and wouldn’t take it off. He then was shaping the nails and cut my finger twice with the file. In the end I left with uneven, misshapen nails with acrylic under half my nails. Unfortunately I only had a babysitter for a short time, so I can’t get them fixed today, but I will be getting them removed and then put on by a professional. All and all it was a very unsatisfactory experience by a rude owner who couldn’t care less about his clients.

I have to start by saying that I’m very loyal to one of the salons near my apartment. However, my friends wanted to get pedicures at DJ Nails so I obliged. The salon is very clean & tidy and the décor is the same as any other salon you’ve been to. They have a great selection of polishes and very reasonable prices. I elected to go with the premium pedicure for $ 31.50 which includes sea salt scrub, reflexology massage, hot stone massage and wax treatment. Pretty extensive for only $ 30! I’m a runner so my feet are chalk full of calluses and blisters (sorry if that’s too much information) but they left as soft and beautiful as ever! The owners are really funny and one even belted a verse from Adele’s «Hello». I had a really great experience aside from a few minor details. The hot stone massage was really unpleasant. I have never had a hot stone massage on my feet before but something about hard stones running over your ankles many times is quite unpleasant. Additionally, I dislike that they work on multiple people at once. I think this is typical of salons in this price range because they’re difficult to staff. However, it really takes away from the intimacy and pampering of a spa treatment. Overall, I was impressed and would definitely visit again!

Great pedis for the price, wonderful leg and foot massage. Can get busy so book an appointment if possible or come early.

This place is run by two people David and Julie hence the name, DJ nails. I recommend you call ahead and make an appointment. This place is probably the best in Bellingham and I’ve gone to almost every nail salon around. Their gel selection is decent, but it does stay on way longer than any other salon that has gel, so that’s a plus! Nothing but love for this place! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ stars if possible

When you’re looking for the perfect pedicure I found the place, DJ nails. I’ve had many pedicures throughout the years and in my travels and this by far was the Best, I hit the jackpot, it was like being in Las Vegas and my feet were the winners. I like to thank the owner David Le and his staff for a great experience, recommended highly and this is now my favorite spot to come for a pedicure.

I was a walk-​in today, and must say the salon lived up to its Unilocal reputation. It is attractively decorated, spotlessly clean, and very tidy. The operators are friendly and obviously experienced. I had a simple manicure (no tips, gels, etc.), and it included a relaxing hand and arm massage followed by hot, steamy towels. Polish was applied carefully and perfectly, ample drying time was given, and the operator actually retrieved my car keys from my handbag so I wouldn’t damage my fresh manicure. The cost was only $ 15 (plus a generous tip). Thank you, DJ’s!

I will not be revisiting this salon. We booked appointments for 5, they only had 4 people there leaving one person to wait, they did not follow the brides wants for her nails and the bridesmaids, they WAY over charged 2 mani pedis, and we’re rude.

Very friendly, I was helped right away. I got the premium pedicure. It’s worth every penny. They have all the name brand nail polish & in every color. I’m very happy. I highly recommend this nail shop. Thank you.

I got the premium pedicure and have to say they really made it spectacular and it was on sale for only $ 31.50! It included a reflexology massage, hot stone, foot scrub, hot wax, and felt oh so amazing! This is why I get pedicures– for the relaxing effect! :) I have gone to so many places and I’m really picky. This is my absolute favorite!

We wanted to get pedi’s and our usual spa had no time for us. Thank goodness! DJ Nails did a fantastic job. Best massage ever! Very recommended.

Wow! I stopped in to see if I could get a fill with shellac overlay, on a quick trip to Bellingham. The 2 workers were busy doing pedicures, but got to me in about 5 minutes.
Julie did a really good job and finished in about 45 minutes. She is the fastest manicurist I have ever been to.
The place was small, but really clean. Best of all was the price! $ 15 for a fill and only $ 10 more for shellac??? I’m used to paying $ 50 bucks for the same thing, after tip in Canada. I’ll be back for sure!
They had a steady stream of regulars coming in, so I recommend an appointment. You might not be as lucky as me to get in quickly.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the premium pedicure today. It’s the best pedicure I’ve had since moving to Bellingham and was a nice clean spa. There was a slight miscommunication on the services — we also wanted a manicure — but David, the co-​owner, apologized for it. They were busy, only had two people working, and had to turn a number of people away so recommend calling for an appointment.

Best manicure/​pedicure I have ever had at a very affordable price. Service included hand and foot massage, hot stone massage, and a sugar scrub. It was never painful or ticklish, as pedicures often can be, and the staff were pleasant and good company. I highly recommend this place.

Great massage chairs for when you are getting a pedicure. I go for the premium pedi that takes about an hour with the whole works. David & Julie are great. Good price too. I also go to them for my leg waxing. Professional and clean.

I went to DJ’s last week with my mom, and we were both SO IMPRESSED! Right when we got there, we were put into seats for pedicures with warm water. Though there were only 3 employees working, and 4 customers, our service was speedy and the quality was not compromised. More customers came in, and even though they were helped, our service was still phenomenal! They gave us long calf and feet massages, and used a tool to smooth out our toenails. All in all, whenever I need/​want a pedicure, I will be going back to DJ’s! The service was so great (especially the man from Minnesota!) and not too expensive. I can’t rave enough about this place!
