Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Bellingham

First let me state that I came in to the dealership with a specific model of vehicle in mind, with a pre-​approved loan from a local credit union, which should make the purchase very easy.
High pressure sales people. Looked at a couple of vehicles, that did not have the price posted. When I asked the price they gave me prices that were about $ 3000 more than what they had advertised on Autotrader for that specific vehicle. When I asked if I could get it for the advertised price from Autotrader they stated that they could write up an offer and see if it would get approved. What really, to buy a vehicle at the full advertised price they have to see if it could be approved?
One vehicle that I test drove had the check engine light on, and when accelerating up to 60mph on the freeway, it had a hard time getting up to speed. When I asked about it, the salesperson said that that’s just how that vehicle drives. When I asked about the check engine light they said that the manager said that its not a concern of theirs. What really?
The salesperson couldn’t even tell me if the vehicle came with one or 2 keys.
Overall an really poor experience, I would recommend staying away from this dealer.

Two days after my review, I received a call from the the floor manager at Rairdons Chrystler Jeep Dodge RAM of Bellingham regarding my review. First I was a bit surprised to get the call, the had my phone number from when I had visited them in the past. Perhaps when I purchased my Dodge truck new 8 years ago.
The manager wanted to «make things right». I am not sure what that means, it was clear that he didn’t like my Unilocal review. I told him that I had purchased a vehicle elsewhere and that I was no longer interested in shopping at their dealership. He asked what he could do to make things right and I told him that I just don’t agree with their way of doing business.
He asked me, if I knew anyone looking for a vehicle to send referrals directly to him rather than to talk to their junior sales people. Fat chance that I will send them any business. I still don’t know what his intention was to make things right.
They haven’t just lost a new customer, they have lost what would have been a repeat customer as I have purchased from them in the past. Now I will gladly drive to Skagit county or beyond to avoid shopping at their dealership.

I had great experience with the service department. Despite the fact that they screwed up twice on the new Jeep we purchased. They really tried to make it up to us — super empathetic and hustled and personable. The sales side was horrible. The lack of organization with paperwork was so evident. We were over promised and under delivered. They changed our vehicle last minute to a different one so all new paperwork, they didn’t help us set it up and didn’t drive it to use as they promised. We were quoted the wrong purchase price and they took the sale before anyone caught it. Then I get a call that I have to pay the difference immediately — which I did that moment despite the fact it was their mistake. The next day I got treated like a 2^nd class citizen because they didn’t know I had paid and they wouldn’t help me until I was sure to pay and let the whole sales floor know it. One of the service guys saw and apologized to me for them. Then they were rude to me and rude to my family member that were with me because we got stuck in the back and had to turn around to exit and one salesman nearly hit us trying to get by and shaking his head — after we just spent over $ 20K there. It was a big deal for us to get a new vehicle and a negative memorable experience. We tried to give them a 2^nd chance when buying another Jeep later on. The salesman asked for what we wanted and when we could come .We provided our specs and date to meet and never heard a word back from him. Too bad so sad. We’re spending our $ 40k on another dealer that is kind and attentive and deserves the sale. It you want mediocre this is the place for you.

I can’t comment on the sales arm of this place but you’ve been warned: the service department is to be avoided like the proverbial plauge lest you enjoy seriously rolling the dice and settling in for major hassle, expense, and downright abuse. After a basic inspection and oil/​filter change, my Jeep came out with a new, bizarre, troubling buzzing/​rattling/​shaking that rendered it almost undriveable without major annoyance. Never had a problem with the car until Rairdon. Turns out that among other things the good folks here couldn’t be bothered with putting two of the screws back on my air filter — there’s a whole dialogue online about those last two screws being a pain and how no one likes dealing with them. Clearly that’s what happened and please note: Rairdon ultimately had to admit as much. But the MO with Derek the service guy — initially so peppy and charming, if insincere — was to deny, blame and ridicule the customer, ignore me when I returned for the fix and drag his heels, and ultimately treat me like garbage («It’s fixed now. I’m done. Goodbye.»), as if it were something I had done wrong when everyone at that shop knows what happened and saw for themselves what a screw-​up it was on their part. This is a far longer story but suffice it to say I have never been treated so poorly in the customer service realm, especially at a car dealership — and particularly after such a saccharine, slick, and sunny initial lead-​in. Totally fake. If you do go, just hope the mechanics don’t screw up because it is YOU who will pay the price. Management is utterly dishonorable. Once you are anything but an easy conveyor-​belt situation to them, they will not care. It will all be on you. These guys lack integrity and are just plain awful. Thanks for the gas, guys, as a means to hopefully appease. But too little too late and your rampant misogyny isn’t appreciated. My Jeep deserved better, I deserved better, and the Jeep brand certainly deserves better.
BTW, you will find other reviews like this elsewhere if you dig. I am hardly alone in having sustained this kind of bizarre treatment at Rairdon.

While shopping for a new SUV we stopped by and drove every brand on the market. Scott, Ben and the team helped making our car buying process quick, easy and fun. They asked what we wanted and stepped up to make what we wanted affordable. Our family will sure be back if and when we need another vehicle.

I recently purchased a Dodge diesel truck for towing purposes and was very happy with the sales staff at Rairdon Dodge. Brandon K, my sales associate, was very knowledgeable and helped me find the correct truck for my application. He also was able to work with me to come up with a price that I could live with and which I thought represented a good value. The object with these trucks is not to get the cheapest one, it is to get the best value in a truck that can do the job, I think I accomplished that goal. Brandon is a low key fellow, but he knows his trucks and that made me comfortable with the transaction. He is head and shoulders above the clueless salesmen I have been running into lately who seem to know more about back pats and hyperbole than the technology they are trying to sell. Refreshing.

I have noticed a oil consumption problem on my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT for the last 8k miles. I bought this new from Smokey Point Rairden Dodge. After having taken it to two different Rairdon service centers and asking for them to investigate the issue I was done. Yesterday I traded my van in on a new Honda Pilot. Last visit my wife went in for a consumption check and was told «it’s a quart low, lets get you in for an oil change and we can look at it from there» They then scheduled a service for the following week and added no oil. The following evening I noticed the motor making significant noises and checked the oil. None registered on the dipstick. After adding 2 quarts (that I began carrying in the car due to this issue) still nothing registered on the dipstick. Was told this «could be normal» when I confronted the service manager about the problem, and I again needed to come in there every 500 miles. WHO HAS THE TIME TO DO THAT??? I should not have the burden to prove something is wrong with a new car I bought from THEM. My vehicle started this issue with 26,000 miles and I traded the thing away with 36k. In all this time not once did they try to investigate this issue and the cause, only wanted to «prove it was outside Dodge’s oil consumption standards» I was told with a straight face that they have never seen a problem like this before, even though the internet is littered with similar issues. Done with this dealership. Love my new Honda, lost thousands on the van but getting away from Rairdon’s is priceless. Funny thing is I am now looking for a new 2013 Cummins 3500 and will be going to Dave Smith to purchase and elsewhere for service. I would never give these people another cent.

These hagglers sold me a 2004 Toyota 4-​Runner that was a rust bucket. These people were rude, shady and hard to deal with. You would think for $ 24k they would be on your side. SCAMMERS! Their resolution was to spray an undercoating OVER the rust! IDIOTS. Truck went back to the bank As$ H@le$!! To hell with paying for a corroding undercarriage in a truck with 42k miles.

These guys give you 5-​star treatment every single time — no matter if you are looking to buy a great car for sale at a super low price in bellingham or if you want excellent treatment in the service or parts department!
Everyone here is so helpful and super nice! I just love going here and admire their business and helpful friendship they offer to people in our community.
