The reason for the 2 stars is because the air conditioning in our room didn’t work. The bed felt more like a box spring instead of a bed and the hotel is a little out dates. The service clerk was nice and they have a shuttle to the airport. If you need comfort do not stay here. Too expensive for what you get.

We stayed here a little over a week cause we were new in town and needed time to find a house. We moved here from Virginia Beach so we had no idea what to expect. Blake at the front desk was awesome. He always tried to give us recommendations and helpful tips. Araceli was also very helpful whenever I needed something for my room. She’s very patient and her customer service was a 10 out of 10. Did I mention how friendly everyone is? Even the housekeeping ladies were super nice. I’ve stayed in many hotels but there’s something about this particular location that made me feel like I was at home. I will definitely recommend my family and friends when they come visit, to stay at this hotel. Thanks Baymont for making our stay here pleasant.

Have stayed here a few times because of my job, and the rooms always smell like cigarette smoke
But…The breakfast is good and the front desk is very friendly and helpful.

We stayed two nights last week and found the hotel to be pretty nice. The room was really nice, clean & updated; looked upscale the way they made up the bed and the linens were nice quality. The towels were nice, too. Some places give you little, thin towels that are scratchy, but the Baymont did a good job. We like to take advantage of the free continental breakfast. And you have a coffee maker in the room, too. I would recommend Baymont Inn.

very well managed property in every way. friendly professional staff (especially amacelli at the front desk). nice clean quiet rooms with mini-​fridge and microwave. very nice continental breakfast (including biscuits and gravy). fair price and they didn’t charge extra for my rowdy pants little black doggie! now that im back in the city i wish bellingham would call seattle and tell them that its ok to be friendly, smile, and have a personality. ha

Nice looking place from the outside, great customer service at front desk, nice bed, clean looking sheets, but horrible house keeping. Once in room, a faint smell of stale cigarette smoke greeted us. Nothing a little Fabreeze wouldn’t fix. Then we found either junior mints or milk duds covering the bottom of the mini fridge. Gross! But even worse, and what made me write this review, was us finding somebody else’s old food in the microwave! My husband actually opened the container to find old pasta noodles in a creamy white sauce and partially eaten meatballs. Absolutely disgusting!!! Too run down and gross for our tastes. #wishwecouldmovehotels #pleasedoabetterjobcleaning

Baymont Inn and Suites in Bellingham is located 1.5 hours away from Seattle and 50 miles away from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Diagonally across the street from this inn is a shopping center that includes Starbucks, Office Depot (perfect place to get stamps and send postcards), Costco (if you want cheap lunch as long as you have your membership), and other stores. Baymont is also located next to a neighborhood. Take a stroll down the neighborhood in the morning and you may see a deer just walking around like I did!
The people at the front desk are hospitable and friendly. They were easy to talk to and so willing to help you to have a smooth trip and comfortable stay at the inn.
I got a queen bed for 3 nights for a total of $ 232. The first night, there were black dusts on my bed. I’m not sure where it came from but I just had to dust it off myself. I was too tired to ask for new blankets. The next two nights, my blankets were clean. They gave me new towels and cleaning room service was overall great.
Breakfast is served between 6am-​9am. They do start serving a little before 6am. They have several selections of cereal, muffins, bagels, bread, fruits, yogurts, make your own waffle, broiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee, hot chocolate, and different kinds of juices. They have a lot of food to offer. They’re probably not the healthiest, but hey it’s free! So can’t complain!
I had a hard time connecting to the wi-​fi. It is available but probably not the most speedy and reliable wi-​fi. It’s best if you just use your own carrier’s data. They have two computers and a printer in the lobby you can use!
If I’m in Bellingham again, I would definitely stay at Baymont Inn and Suites again!

Great place except be careful where you park and lock your doors. Our truck got broken into and stole some clothes and shoes. Other than that its a nice place to stay. Lots of homeless in the area.

An unfortunate stay from the getgo. Definitely a 2 star hotel.
It doesn’t help that the trip started with our GPS insisting that Quality Inn next door was the correct hotel to pull into.
For what must have been at least 4, maybe 6 hours, an employee there was hosing everything down with an incredibly noisy Power Washer. Everyone’s cars ended up soaked & filthy.
It’s a good thing we didn’t want to use the pool, because it was closed.
We’re accustomed to the Comcast remotes, but theirs was malfunctioning. We even tested the batteries. They didn’t have HGTV. If we’d brought kids, they would have been disappointed that Cartoon Network had some serious reception problems. The TV is set at a horrible resolution that makes everyone look fat & squat; there is no way to adjust it.
The microwave was also flaky & only worked in 3 minute increments. You can’t turn the loud time beeper off by opening the door, so we had to listen to it 6 times. It was possibly loud enough to annoy neighbors.
The toilet paper is a lot like the paper sheets you wrap clothing in for christmas. I recommend bringing your own from home.
The receptionist is supposed to tell you the wifi access code when you’re checking in. You shouldn’t have to ask for it.
The sheets are tucked so tightly, that pulling them off takes the mattress cover off with it. If it’s winter, bring your own cover; their’s are very thin.
The vanity counter is very small. Only 1 person can do hair/​makeup/​teeth at a time. Not only does is only other mirror in the room on the opposite side of the room as the table, but all the outlets are on that table. All of them, unless you’re willing to move heavy furniture,
All of that could be overlooked, but there was one grievance that was truly offensive; being woken at 5:30 in the morning on your hotel room phone with someone who somehow knows you booked with Expedia, your name, & what hotel room you’re in asking for your credit card information with a BS story about crashing servers, despite your reservation having been confirmed paid on arrival. Only a hotel employee would have access to that information, even the morning receptionist thought it was fishy & that their servers were fine. Expedia couldn’t have called because they don’t have our room number, so it was likely an employee calling each room & trying to get credit card numbers off half-​asleep customers, hoping they would be too tired to be on guard.

For $ 80.00 we were unsure as to what to expect. The Baymont Inn was formerly a La Quinta Inn. Pleasantly surprised. We had a nice sized room on the 3^rd floor. Everything was clean, although the bath and spa area are in desperate need of updating. Totally 70’s.
The king bed was very comfortable. Climate control worked great. Nice sized flat screen with DIRECTV. Free Wi-​Fi. Great fridge. Quiet. The staff friendly, courteous and helpful. No real complaints. Plan on staying again.

Staying in Bellingham WA is often a good idea for that morning leap across the Canadian border 20 minutes away, while those overnighting in Seattle are trying to catch up with you. There was only a 3 car wait, and at the main Peace Arch crossing at that.
The rates at this Baymont were atypically favorable, albeit with AAA, and the rates at the good Rodeway Inn with interior corridors were where they normally are. However, this Baymont features bigger rooms, more amenities, and access to a couple of the city’s good health clubs, since they didn’t have one that I could see. When considering that, the price difference became negligible.
This hotel is not too far north of I-​5, and right at an intersection with Meridian, Bellingham’s main drag, slightly north of Bellis Fair Mall and their Barnes and Noble. This is a better Wyndham brand, so the hotel is fairly nice, complete with a double story lobby. The front desk service during the evening, graveyard (11 – 7), and morning shifts was very good, but the gentleman on the evening shift was particularly enthusiastic and helpful.
The room was comfortable. While slightly dated, there was no lack of creature comforts and a comfortable bed, including an unneeded extra one. (I prefer the extra space that comes with having one bed in the room). The breakfast was extensive, and had all sorts of cereals, pastries, muffins, breads, bagels, fruit, juices, and waffles. I always start with «360 degree» waffles on a trip and end up with «180 degree» waffles toward the end of a trip! Waffles and syrup, with several glasses of orange juice, ftw.
The only reason I’m deducting a star is because it’s not a 5 star property, even for its genre, and because their hot tub is outside in this goofy enclosed gazebo whereas, at the Rodeway Inn immediately south of I-​5, it’s off an interior corridor in its own tiled space, making it nicer to use year-​round.
For a good rate, the comfort, service, convenience, and breakfast at the Baymont in Bellingham call for a thumbs up.

We reserved rooms as a group for a soccer tournament. My reservation got lost. They gave me the «group rate» to help. I asked about my military/​government rate, and they said the group rate at $ 109 was better. Found out that was a lie. Another teammate got the government rate for $ 77. Tried to get it fixed at check out and they said it was too late to do anything since I had signed agreeing to pay the other rate at check in. Another teammate’s room had a broken toilet. Would only flush every other time. They never came in to fix it. Late check out was not allowed. They came through cleaning the rooms by 8am.
The rooms were nice enough. Bathrooms were outdated. Breakfast was reasonable. I little better than the standard continental.

I got a really nice suite for a really great price. The room had a king bed and a jacuzzi tub. This place allows pets free as long as they are leashed and aren’t a nuisance or you get fined $ 250. It was clean and the bed was cozy considering it wasn’t my tempurpedic lol
