This shoe store is excellent for what it is: offering high end, European and Scandinavian quality shoes that are as pricey as they are well-​made. But don’t expect to find many dainty, feminine styles or stiletto heels or trendy or mainstream looks. The vast majority of shoes here are clunky and chunky, or clogs (or clog-​like), or designed for orthopedic comfort. And there is a large selection of shoes in this vein, in all patterns and colors.
The few times I’ve been here, the store has been quite busy and full, so I know this place is popular. And the women who work here are friendly and helpful. I like how there is a coffee machine and you can help yourself to some as you enter the store. And there were some cute shoe-​related items (like note cards and stationery). What I liked most were the handbags for sale; they had some rockin’ messenger bags and purses and satchels made from black rubber which were super cool and incredibly inexpensive (surprisingly!).

12th Street Shoes has a good selection of shoes that are both cute and comfortable. They’ve always been right there to help me out, and they have free coffee (or did when I’ve been there). They’ve also got some awesome socks and hosiery. It’s a must-​stop place if you’re shopping in Fairhaven (and female).
