Relax Building Services

I have worked with this company before on commercial jobs and they were easy to deal with. Cut to a residential job that needed doing. I am a contractor and started a remodel. At the customers request I had the place cleaned from top to bottom. It is a 4500 sq ft house and was charged 700.00. He originally asked for 925.00 which I though too pricy, so I removed a few duties and that made the price different. The job was decent. I did find the vacuuming not that adequate on the hardwood floors, but was happy overall. That was 5 people for 8 hours. Cut to 5 weeks later, I had them come back to do an overall clean after my construction crew. I spoke with Marcos the manager about the job. He brought 4 girls at 8:45. Now mind you there was an entire construction crew in there for 5 weeks. He called me at 12:30 and said he was finished. I questioned how it could have happened so quickly, he just said they worked fast. He sent a bill for 595.00. The following day was move in. My client was VERY dissatisfied with the work. He found dust all over the floor boards, the interior of the cabinets weren’t touched. When we did a closer inspection it got worse. I spoke to the manager, on the phone and in emails and he was almost hostile, telling me I could get people from home depot, then questioned my integrity for payment. I have never not paid a vendor and was shocked as well as my client who I forwarded the emails to. The saddest part was my client who just wanted a clean house had to settle for less and was disappointed. That is a reflection on me and I am person who takes the client/​contractor relationship to heart. We paid him 490.00 which my client directly negotiated. I will never use this vendor again and was shocked at the tone in which I was spoken to and emailed.
