Love this place! Pupusas are not FRIED, they are cooked in a «comal» like my friends mother makes them at home! amazingly delicious!

Ah pupusas… a guilty pleasure. greasy as a bald man’s head on a hot day, but delicious! The owner is such a nice guy. He’s thrown in extra pupusas just because. The sauce and curtido is a perfect accompaniment. I also like the«chan». it’s a really sweet punch like drink with chia seeds. I have to dilute it a bit since I don’t have a huge sweet tooth but it’s refreshing nonetheless

I have to say I was disappointed! After reading the reviews I was expecting more. I bought two pupusas… one«chicharron» and one with cheese. They were bland and seemed to be already made, just re-heated. I won’t be going back here… I’ve had much better pupusas for about the same price or even less!

$ 2.25 and up for pupusas… Most are $ 2.25 which is $ 0.25 above the average price. This place is right next to a car wash. Parking is hard to find since the area around the restaurant is full of cars to be washed! I had to park a block away. Maybe on weekdays it’s not this bad. Unsavory people everywhere. Creepy neighborhood. I am the second reviewer that got their about the same time the cook arrived. This time it was about 10:40 am. He’s a soft spoken man with a very pleasant demeanor. He was wearing a black chef’s top with some small stains on it. I kind of hesitated but I am still on a quest for good pupusas near Downey. I ordered one pupusa only. No drinks because I am broke haha! A lady came in with her long haired son and she asked him if he wanted a pupusa. He said, «What’s that?» She explained it to him. He never said yes but she got him a cheese pupusa anyway. Two other customers came in. The place is very small so it got full. 15 minutes later I got my pupusa revuelta. The curtido had a dab salsa on it. I began to regret my visit. The pupusa tasted like a cheese pupusa. I could not taste the beans let alone the chicharron(pork rinds) :(I asked how much the Cola Champagne costed and the cook just uncapped one and gave it to me. I took it anyway. Cola Champagne tastes like drinking bubble gum. The total was $ 4.40. Ok, so I would really go off on this review but I am going to hold back. Why? The guy said Hello to everyone that came in. He asked me if it was good. He blessed the first bit of money that he that day. He is just a really nice person. If I come back to this forsaken part of town it will be for the hand car wash which is only $ 7.99 on some weekdays.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years one of the best places to eat at around Bellflower. Though it does get a little packed because it’s attached to a car wash but have a little patience and its okay! The owners are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet!

Their pupusas are great but not the cheapest. It’s not the best place to go sit and eat unless you’re also getting your car washed too. Yes, it is attached to a car wash which can also make parking difficult at times. Take out is great just make sure to check their hours first! Besides all that, their pupusas are yummy, and definitely worth a try!

This place is a hidden gem. It’s in a car wash, I have been getting my car washed there for six years and always wondered if the place was good but a few days ago I was seduced by the wonderful aroma coming from there. I ordered two pupusas made with chicharron and cheese. OMG delish!!! The dough is perfect, not doughy or greasy like other pupusas, it was nice and light loaded with mozarella and monterrey jack cheese, the chicharron is homemade. I could not believe I paid $ 2.25 for each pupusa. Awesome place! check it out!

This place is attached to a Car Wash, and when they’re busy, there’s no place to park. But other than that, I thought the service was very friendly, and the pupusas were delicious. I ordered a whole bunch of pupusas, including: –Queso(cheese only) –Queso y frijoles(cheese and beans) –Revuelta(cheese, beans, and chicharron) –Carne asada I was glad to see that these were made to order, although it did mean I had to wait a very loooong time. On the other hand, I would rather have something made fresh, rather than some stale old food even if it means waiting. The gentleman behind the counter(who also was apparently the cook) was really nice. He treated all the customers equally well. I know that the carne asada pupusa is somewhat of a hybrid, but it was easily my favorite. It was so delicious, and it proves that sometimes it’s good to mix and match when it comes to latinos(food, that is, haha). But seriously, all the other pupusas were really good, but who would have thought that by adding some asada you would take it to a whole…‘notha’…level!?! Not me. But I’m glad someone else thought of it!

The best salvadorian food Ive had so far to date… Throw in great service and you have an awesome little restaurant where if its your first venture into the salvadorian culinary world you will not be disappointed. Their pupusas are larger than I have seen elsewhere. So be warned if you come in with an appetite and dont over do it when ordering pupusas(trust me I did it). My favorite is their loroco pupusa and the revuelta pupusa. Expect to wait for your food. Pupusas are made to order and take a while to cook. If youre in a hurry phone in your order and your order will be ready for you once you arrive. Don’t judge a book by its cover is a great way of suming up this little gem. There might be a car wash in the front, but you will be surprised with whats inside.

Came here with my girlfriend as we were craving pupusas and were not disappointed. We were a bit surprised at the location as we almost drove past it trying to find it(we were coming from the west and you can’t see a sign for it from that direction). My personal favorite was the carne asada pupusa. The meat was excellent(no gristle or bad cuts), tender and well seasoned. The friendly husband and wife team of owners/chefs chatted us up while we waited for our constantly expanding order. We love revueltas and were surprised to learn from the chef that the meat inside is chicharron and not beef. The husband asked if we liked hot sauce and gave me some of his home made hot sauce. I dunked my fork into it and sampled it, only to immediately start coughing. Strong stuff on its own, but has a good hot flavor that won’t kill your insides if you actually eat it with the food. The only down side, as another reviewer mentioned, is you are going to wait as the food takes a while to cook. But, just for ordering we got entered into the bi-monthly(I believe) raffle for a family pack of pupusas and drinks. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I love love love the food. Especially the papusas. But I dont think that should have taken over 20 min. I ordered one papusa and 1 carnitas taco. I was there for about 30 min total. Thats why i give them a 4 and not a 5. They also take credit cards which is awesome. that wait is whats going to stop me from going here. There were only a few other ppl here. Oh its connected to a car wash! lol. GET A WASHWHILEYOUWAIT(i didnt) BUTJUST A SUGGESTION.

I had ordered to-go with my brother’s family, we ate the Pupusas revueltas and my brother had the bacon hot dog and the tropical smoothies. We all liked the food. Nice and low prices. The Pupusas range from $ 2-$ 2.25 Carlos is the Salvodoran owner, a really nice guy. He said, he’s coming out with a new menu in a few days which will include pictures. I am looking forward to the Pupusas chicharron y queso.

Another gem in the good ol’ city of Bellflower – who knew? Randomly nestled on the forefront of a car wash, you would have never guessed that there are some delicious eats in this little place. My friend told me about this place a couple months ago and I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner! They’re known for their pupusas and bacon wrapped hot dogs. I know what an odd combination, but don’t laugh-it’s good. Yes party people you no longer have to wait until 2am to satisfy your bacon wrapped hot dog craving! You can either get your hot dog just wrapped in bacon, or you can also add onions, red and green peppers, mayo and mustard. I would recommend getting the mayo and mustard on the side because it makes a real big mess – but a delicious mess at that. I also tried the pupusa with queso and chicharron – yum! Everything is made fresh to order, so if you’re in a hurry call in your order. The owner is very friendly. I got there at 11am and the place was closed even though the sign said they were open at 10am. He saw me about to drive away and walked to my car to apologize for not being open on time. While I was waiting for my food he had me try one of their signature drinks called Ensalada. It’s like a sangria minus the alcohol – fresh cut apples, peaches, grapes, and other fruits marinating in its own juices. I could easily drink a gallon of this but probably would end up with a serious case of diabetes because it’s so sweet – but oh so good.
