Essence Salon & Nail Spa

This is my first time writing a review on Unilocal,but I had to do it for Lyla. I’ve been a loyal customer for around 3 – 4 years now. Lyla is the only one that I ask to do my eyebrows, my nails, my hair. EVERYTHING FROM HER!
She can do whatever you ask her to do when it comes to hair, nails, makeup, etc! I had her do my hair, nails & makeup for my 18^th birthday and my prom, haircuts on a regular basis, and I get her to wax my eyebrows.
Bonus too, I told her I’d never gotten my brows done and she goes as gentle as possible on me! Everytime I get my hair or makeup done, I just show her a picture & she makes it look just like it.
Tip: Get an appointment instead of just walking in. Usually she’s alone and you don’t know how many people are there, so there might be a long wait. It’d be better for you to schedule it because she can prioritize you.
Overall, awesome service. I highly HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! :-)

Since I moved here in bellflower Lyla is the only one who cuts my hair… she is so amazing!!! She does my hair very good… I started with long hair and eventually tried short hair… i always look not 10 years but 20 years younger every time I will step out of her salon!!! LOL…I’ve been recommending her to all of my friends… Lyla always tell me I’m her model… thank you for picking me as your model!!! thank you for always making me look younger… keep it up Lyla

My dad has been going here for all his hair cuts and he told me to get my trim here.
I’m not the type that’s willing to spend a lot of money for a trim so I decided to try it out. I’ve never gotten a certain haircut or anything but it’s the best price for trims (in comparison to a lot of other places) and the employees are very friendly.
Tip: It’s best to come during the weekdays. My sister and I are waiting even with an appointment. Not sure if this is the case every weekend.

Leila has always done a great job with my hair. She uses ammonia free dye so my hair always stays healthy even with the constant wear and tear. She is very sweet and friendly. I highly recommend her. But if you’re in a hurry or want a dye job/​highlights, make sure to have an appointment!
