El Mixteca 2

The dark red (chipotle maybe?) salsa was served hot… like heat hot… or WARM. That was interesting! I liked it! But my favorite one was the green salsa, which was spicier than a normal green salsa. Yum!!! The pico/​house salsa was also on point.
The chicken was nice and juicy! I got mine with rice and macaroni salad. The carnitas was a pleasant surprised because this was not the traditional slow cooked, shredded pork, but was pan fried I believe, which gave it a crispy outer layer. It was tasty! My wife got it with rice and potato salad. We got warm tortillas served in a sealed plastic bag that looked like it was heated in a microwave.
We had a large Horchata to wash it down.
I’d like to try the ice cream and shaved ice type of stuff next time. I was too full to go at it yesterday, as we had to take some of the food to go because it was too much. You get a good amount of food for what you pay.
We were the only customers here on a Tuesday evening. Service was friendly and fast. I’ll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

I been coming here a while now and havent written about the awesome food here and great value. If you are in a family of 3 or 4 the special #3 is a amazing deal comes with sides… what really keeps me coming back is the flavor and tenderness of the chicken. its so awesome i even get the chicken nachos from time to time… they have a standard size but for a few extra bucks they can make it in a bigger. also has tap and pay for any NFC enabled phone… samsung and android pay can be used here…

The wet chicken burrito with red sauce always hits the spot. I’ve eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Staff is very friendly over the phone and in person and place is clean. If you are in the mood for rotisserie chicken or Mexican food I would definitely recommend this place.

This place was really good. I felt like I should get chicken since it seems to be their strong point, but I ended up just going with a veggie wet burrito which was amazing, and the guy offered to do half and half green/​red salsa on the top, so why not? Both were really good, good amount of spice.
Also, I had asked what all comes in a regular meat burrito, and it appears they actually put all the fixings (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guac) in those ones too which is refreshing from San Diego’s meat burrito selection. My boyfriend got a carne asada torta which he devoured in like two seconds, so he must have liked it. You also get free chips and salsa with your order! My only small complaint was that it took a little longer than usual to make the food, but it was well worth the wait! I’ll definitely be back :)

Chicken is good and the price is reasonable. The rice and beans are ok. Middle of no were but they serve it quick.

I know it’s lunch time but you can’t take phone call orders over a person waiting in line.
Put it on hold or get more staff that know how to take orders instead of just having them clean cause you obviously can’t handle the orders coming in.
I called the Place too but person that answered didn’t even say the restaurant name and didn’t know English. Very frustrating!

Was out with a friend hitting garage sales and started getting hungry. I realized it has been a while since I had been out for authentic Mexican and had a craving for carne asada. Unfortunately my friend said he really didn’t like Mexican food usually but said he was willing to try again. Long story short we both ordered the 4 taco lunch plate with carne asada and both thoroughly enjoyed it. He even said he wanted to bring his roommate here next time. So I guess this place converted him you might say. Four tasty tacos with perfectly seasoned beef (not to greasy or dry), very fresh avocado slices and creamy not too spicy salsa Verde. Also it was super cheap; $ 5.99 for everything with a drink. Awesome! I’m one full happy camper.

Best rotisserie chicken in Bellflower! Chicken everything. From burritos to nachos to tacos. The tacos are a good size, delicious, and they come with a slice of avocado. I love thier Pineapple aqua Fresca. Your orders come with a side of tortilla chips and salsa at no extra charge. The sides are very good and try thier potato salad! I come here often and the owner is very friendly. A must try if you are in Bellflower.

Ummm YES! This place is delicious! And cheap!
For under $ 8 I got a canned soda and a huge chicken bowl with loads of rotisserie chicken, rice, beans, onions, some sort of crema, tomatoes and cheese. I did ask for avocado, but they were busy and I don’t think the lady heard me, it’s okay, next time. You also get tortillas, chips, and salsa. It was so freakin good!
My coworker got a wet veggie burrito, which was probably the biggest burrito I have ever seen, and a Jamaica, for about $ 9. She said the burrito was the best veggie burrito she’d ever had.
The people working here were very nice and the place was really clean. There is a large free parking lot next door to the place so parking is easy. We will definitely be back, and soon! I came back to work and told my boss how good it was, so he went for lunch and got the chicken lunch special. He said it was the best chicken skin ever. Very glad we tried El Mixteca 2!

My godmother came to visit and she brought us lunch. all my family kept on bugging me to ask her where she had bought the chicken. it was delicious!.. i totally recommend it.

Chicken is very delicious and tender… Plus the service is outstanding. Their green sauce is very good. We got a generous sample while we waited for the chicken to be ready.

Rotisserie chicken is BOMB! And at $ 4.99 for a lunch special (two pieces of rotisserie chicken, a drink, chips and salsa, plus two sides) this has become my go-​to place for a work lunch. There’s also a punch card for the lunch specials so your 8^th one (I think) is free.
They also put their rotisserie chicken in a HUGE burrito, and that also comes with chips and salsa. YUM. The only thing is that the burrito comes with raw onions, which make the burrito spicy and yum also give you not so great breath. Ask for them to be removed if that bothers you.

Smoothest chicken in the world. The chicken is amazing and literally just melts in your mouth!

Being Mexican I’m really picky with my Mexican food. This place has really good home made style Mexican food. Big portions for a decent price. I ordered a chicken bowl, it had pinto beans, rice, chicken, avocado, cheese, onion and cilantro. They gave me chips with salsa and a drink for under $ 8.
If I’m ever in the area I would definitely stop by again.
