I had a very disappointing experience with this place. I came in with a friend to have a simple dress altered for her wedding. When we came in, she did not confirm my friend’s name or ask for mine. She lead us back to a room and asked us to put the dress on and continued talking with another woman in the room who we were also never introduced to. My friend put the dress on and when we pulled back the curtain, she said«Looks good to me» and didn’t offer a single alteration suggestion. The straps were falling off her shoulders, the bust was too large, and the fabric was too loose around the waist. We asked her about the length of a tea length dress on a shorter bride and she said«Well, it covers the petticoat». This wasn’t really the insight I was looking for. She pinned the sides of the dress and pinned some length off the straps, but they were still falling over because they were set too wide for my friend’s shoulders, so we again asked if there was a way to secure the straps. She disappeared into another room and came back with an X-Acto knife(!!) and immediately walked over to my friend. I stopped her just before she started slicing at the straps and asked her what she was doing. She explained that she was going to open the seams around the straps so she could show us how she could adjust the straps. She did not ask our permission to start work on the dress, let alone use an X-Acto knife for the job!(Where is her seam ripper?!) She had an apathetic demeanor throughout the appointment and never asked my friend questions about what she wanted or what her concerns were. It didn’t feel like she wanted our business at all. I would not recommend this place to any bride.

Would not recommend to any brides. Tracy made me feel uncomfortable and was very snappy. As another reviewer stated, dog hair was in the bottom of my dress, and I was only there for 30 – 40 minutes.

The owner was incredibly rude. She turned what should have been a wonderful experience(having a wedding gown altered) into making me feel stupid about what I wanted and even said one of the pictures I showed her was ugly. She poked me by accident with a pin when trying to pin up my dress, and has poor interpersonal skills. When I picked up my dress it wasn’t even finished all the way but yet my bill showed things that she had not even done. The back clasp thread came undone as soon as I tried it on before leaving. Her assistant had to quickly fix it for us, and then Tracy tried to double charge me for it «since I asked for it to be redone». Very frustrating experience. Every single one of the pick ups she added onto my dress ripped out. She charged $ 10 per pick up, and they were literally just two loops of thread. Way over priced. One ripped the day before the wedding and I had to sew it myself… so stressful for a bride to have to deal with all of this! I wouldn’t go back.

I would never go back! I had to get two bridesmaids dresses altered in a time crunch… and they were able to accommodate my needs in regards to time. I give them that. However, it was very expensive for simple alterations. The thing that sticks out the most is how horrible the customer service was! –Everytime I went in, I was never greeted. This made it very awkward! — The woman who worked with me never once gave me her name… I saw two women at one point so I did not know who the owner«Tracy» ever was. I just don’t understand when greetings were eliminated during this thing called«communication» ??? –on the multiple occasions I had to go in for fittings, I was told to hurry up… literally she said«hurry up!» while waving her hand at me. –Overall, the woman was consistently condescending, never happy or smiling, and made me feel like my business meant nothing –to top it off… when I went in to pick up both dresses(which I had to leave work early for in order to make her timeline)…I found out they only accept cash or check! This was completely unexpected! And then this woman proceeded to blame ME telling me she told me that already! In this day and age when you can pay for nearly anything with ‘plastic’…I think I would remember a fact like that! Awful! I was already in my own stressful situation with the out of state weddings, dresses that didn’t fit and my time crunch… the stress in this experience was the LAST thing I needed! I strongly recommend weighing your options before going here.

I was very disappointed in the alterations for my wedding dress at Tracy Gail for a number of reasons. –Firstly, the alteration was incredibly overpriced —(over $ 500) for hemming, shoulder strap removal and to have the sides taken in. The dress wasn’t taken in as much as it should have been and I ended up having to use double sided tape to keep it up on my wedding day. –Secondly, the hem was uneven and the tulle was literally slashed in several places. Thankfully, there were so many layers of tulle that it wasn’t hugely noticeable. –Thirdly, Tracy Gail’s dog is always at the shop — which would be fine if it didn’t take me an hour and a half to get most of the dog hair out of my dress when I got it home(I was still finding long black dog hairs on my white wedding dress on my wedding day). –Finally, the worst offense is that a part of the detailing on my dress had to be removed during the alteration and was never sewn back on. I discovered the missing part and was told by Tracy that she didn’t know where it was since she didn’t actually do any of the work herself. Apparently, she had an assistant(who I had never met and was not at any of the fittings) do all the alterations on my dress. I was paying for someone with years of experience to alter my dress and to this day I don’t actually know the person who did the work. The part of my dress that was missing was never found and instead they sewed on a different jeweled accent in it’s place. Not only was the integrity of my $ 2000 dress affected, but I never even received an apology, let alone any sort of refund. I really wish I would have had a bridal shop to do the alteration and bypassed all the stress that this experience caused.

I agree with the two other reviews on here. Owner was rude and condescending. The price I paid to have her make a bustle on my wedding dress was ridiculously expensive, I realized, after talking to other seamstresses. Furthermore, at my wedding reception, which was very mellow(dinner and some light dancing), one of the loops or buttons that was used to hold the bustle up tore off so the bustle didn’t even keep.

I was shocked to find a zipper replacement cost me almost $ 40. It was ridiculous. Besides that, the owner was rude and offensive.
