I LOVELOVELOVE the Keg & am so sad to hear that this location is closing soon. I think I would actually make the drive to Lynnwood to visit their last remaining location in Washington. It was actually shocking because it is ALWAYS busy here, heard it had something to do with renovation. Great meal here that isn’t cheap, but won’t cost you an arm & leg either. I would say if you don’t get a drink or dessert, at most it’s 20 – 25 for an entrée. Menu is just awesome, delicious steak/ribs with delicious sides. I would recommend either the mashed potatoes or twice baked potato for your side. The entrée is just huge, enough to send you to a food coma, but you will still be back itching for more yummy for your tummy. I hear happy hour here is great also, haven’t got to experience it yet though. Service is spectacular, even though one of our order is wrong, but we didn’t find out until half of the food is gone, they still bought us a new plate, let us keep the old plate, & didn’t charge us for either of it. The Keg, you’ve won my heart for steak. Too bad I am lame & likes it well-done.

When we want affordable good prime rib, the Keg is always the place to go. Usually very tender, and a really good deal. Last time I went though, the meat was a bit tough surprisingly so I’m hoping it was just a fluke! The sides are all pretty decent — I like the mushrooms and mixed vegetables. The iceberg wedge is always good. Good service too — the place can be a little busy but on a weekend night you don’t have to wait too long(usually about 20 mins) for a party of 4 so it’s not that bad. I’ve had worse pricier prime rib at Daniel’s so I’d pick the Keg any day!

the steaks here are ok. these are not top of the line USDA prime+ type steaks but you also aren’t paying for that either. these steaks are definitely a level below the top steakhouses in the area but are a good step up from the base level steak chains(sizzler, black angus, etc.) and is about similar or slightly better than the steaks at outback. i had dinner with a friend here and it was cool for that. the desserts were nice.

After coming here for 20 years, I understand why they are closing. The snarky hostess with the too short skirt, said it would be 15 minute wait… eh? No customers in line and the restaurant was super quiet. We opted for the bar. Less than ½ full… the service in the bar was very good — it was super slow. When does it take 3 hours to serve 2 people a glass of wine, appetizer and meal? The salmon was completely over cooked and didn’t present well. The chef that prepared the meal looked a bit embarrassed when he left the table — rightfully so. Unfortunately, my friends and I will need to find a new favorite place to meet. Fortunately, I think it will be easy as this is Seattle and delicious seafood is fairly easy to find. Sorry to see you close but I think you made the right decision after this experience.

Lunch steak salad dressing out of this world as was the key like pie!!! Great service and very attentive. A little pricey but worth every penny. Open on Turkey Day. Might have to try lunch.

My visits are usually late in the evenings after a long flight and one of the few places still open for dinner in the area. Their prime rib is excellent and deserves five stars but the steaks I’ve had left a bit to be desired. I may be spoiled being from Texas. Service is always excellent.

Had lunch here today with three business associates. It was not the best experience and not something I wish to repeat. We were limited on time. We made this crystal clear to the waiter on our arrival. Sadly this comment he apparently ignored or did not understand. I ordered the wild mushroom soup and a spinach salad. 40 minutes later I got the corn chowder/soup and the spinach salad. The soup was not my cup of tea. Sadly we were limited on time so I had to accept what I got. The spinach salad needed more dressing, more veggies or something to give it some taste and life. Reality is this was a lousy spinach salad and something I would recommend everyone pass on. Even my cup of coffee was mediocre. I was not even offered a refill. Will I return to The Keg on Factoria? Not in this lifetime. There are far better options nearby in the same mall. And their competition charges much less as The Keg is not a great deal.

We had dinner here last night. We hadn’t been there in around 10 years and the menu has really changed — and gotten a lot more expensive. Our server was pleasant(so were the other ones we overheard) but they all seemed a little Stepford Wives to me. Like I asked if there was pepper on the steak(yes) so I didn’t order it because I have a reaction to it(and told our server that), and instead ordered prime rib — and she didn’t mention that there is ALSO pepper on the prime rib. The salads were fantastic — crisp, fresh, large and flavorful. You can order them as a starter or pay extra for your dinner and have it included. The prime rib was ordered medium and it came out with an odd texture, as if they had put it under a broiler and overcooked it slightly on the outside(it was fine on the inside). It was the absolute LEAST fatty prime rib I’ve ever had. It is served with a fresh horseradish that is super hot. Also comes with a little container of dipping sauce(like an au jus) but it is made with red wine and spices/herbs and it is perfectly awful. It tasted like a spody-ody made from cheap wine, some ancient dried herbs, and packaged onion dip mix. The baked potato was loaded and good. There was a pile of deep fried, shredded onion on my plate too, which I didn’t try. I didn’t take the vegetables, so I can’t tell you about them.

I came here with a few friends bc it with their bday recently and they got a $ 25 off thing for it. There were a lot of good things on the menu but I decided to go with the half lobster and sirloin special. The steak came out perfectly medium rare and the lobster was pretty big. Flavor wise though, it was just alright. The steak didn’t have much flavor and I’m not one to use steak sauce so it was meh. The lobster was sweet, but nothing special about this as well. I probably wouldn’t come back unless it’s for my bday and I get the $ 25 off thing lol

OK I have gotten over the salmon bugers. Now I’m on the shrimp cocktail. Soo good. Love the Happy Hour here too. It can get busy too. The bar staff is awesome. I have met some of the servers also and they are awesome too. Try the Reds Apple Ale. They also have good Scotch. Johnnie Walker Blue Glenlevet 21 year old Thank you for the awesome service. We came here for father’s day dinner last night. I called in when they opened to reserve for a table and luckily they were able to accommodate! We got there a little early and it was packed but they were able to seat us right away. Everyone there was friendly. They had a father’s day special menu which was $ 44 for 5 courses; salad, side, entrée, seafood side, and dessert. Not bad considering how much food you’re getting. I ordered the prime rib with the grilled black tiger shrimp and twice baked potatoes for the side. The prime rib and twice baked potato were delicious! The prime rib was really juicy and the baked potato was soooo creamy. My shrimp skewer was on the cold side… didn’t care for that. It was raining when we went there so during our dinner water was dripping down and my husband told our server. He didn’t seem to be surprised and didn’t do anything about it. When he came back again to check on us, my husband mentioned it to him again. The server told us he told his manager and they’re aware of that. His response was that the leak has been there and someone is up there sweeping the water off… what does that even mean?!? If they’ve been aware of this how come they didn’t fix it when we had nice weather? Also, if you’re aware of it, why did they seat us there? I actually like the food here but that ruined my experience. If I only rate for the food I would give The Keg 3 stars but 2 stars for food and experience combined.

I work near The Keg and typically come here for vendor lunches, or business lunches. The food is very tasty, and I find myself always getting the Southwest Roasted Corn soup. A-Mazing! I know most soups aren’t worth getting excited over, but trust me, this soup is DIVINE. Follow that up with a side of the mouthwatering Baked Garlic Shrimp, and you’ve got yourself a wonderful lunch. The hostess and waitstaff have always been prompt and friendly each and every visit. Overall, I’d say The Keg is a bit pricey, but you’ll walk away with a quality meal.

Two words: STICKERSHOCK. I’ve only been to the Keg a couple times for Happy Hour. A friend of mine had a craving for«American Food» so we decided to give the Keg a try instead of going to Red Robin. I’ve always equated The Keg brand to be similar to brand names such as Red Lobster or Black Angus. Definitely a step down from your local top-notch steakhouses but higher than the caliber of restaurants like an Olive Garden. The interior décor and atmosphere is similar to other Keg’s I’ve been in. Pretty mediocre. The clientele seems to be a middle-America type customer that is either there for the bar, or for a special occasion dinner. When I opened the menu, HOLYCOW. Looked like more than half the entrees were close to $ 30 or higher! Are you kidding me? At The Keg?! I wondered if we were in the right place? I guess that’s how naïve I am about dining at the Keg? The food was actually not bad, but definitely not worth the price in my mind. Just good, nothing special or exceptional. My friend got the ribs, they fell off the bone and were not dry. I got the Prime Rib which was a measly portion from what I’ve had from any other place I’ve had Prime Rib. It was cooked liked I ordered it — medium rare. But only a 10 oz piece which only about 6 – 7 ounces is edible. Wedge Salad — fine — hard to mess that up. Service — good. Atmosphere/Décor — 2.5 stars Service — 4 stars Food — 3.5 stars Overall Dining Value — 2 stars(3 star steak value) Average = 3 stars While the food was decent, nothing special, this would not be a place that comes to mind if I was in the mood for plunking down $ 30 an entrée for a meal. Yes, I realize at a place like El Gaucho, prices start much higher but you get better everything(service, décor, meat) all around(I consider El Gaucho a rip-off too though.) So while maybe the value for a decent steak here isn’t terrible, the value of the meal in general compared to what you can get for $ 30 an entrée in other more gourmet(non-steak) establishments is quite poor. We Americans are sure obsessed with our beef and the prices here reflect that. Nevertheless, if you want to go out for a decent steak, but can’t afford something like El Gaucho or The Met, how many other options do you have at this price point? Solid 3 stars. It is what it is.

We frequent here often and I do enjoy The Keg. As a huge red meat lover, I highly recommend this spot! First off, if you don’t eat a lot, do not order a starter because the entrée portions are totally filling. The filet mignon is my favorite, its flavorful and comes with a side of veggies(you gotta ask for it) and if you’re like me, you probably won’t even finish it all. They’re really good on dietary restrictions, like I can’t do dairy or butter and they always accommodate for me. Great spot, friendly service, and TONS of parking!

I love The Keg! I miss The Keg’s location in Renton, so I have no problem driving to Factoria to support this fine restaurant. The Keg is a great place for mouth watering steak that is not as expensive as some of the other steak houses, like John Howie or El Gaucho. It has a intimate atmosphere, low lighting, dark décor. I have always been greeted with a smile and a welcome upon entering the restaurant. Happy hour gets very crowded at The Keg, but the dining room usually has plenty of room. The waiters and waitresses provide great service, and are very attentive. The food is delicious. I have never had a bad meal at The Keg. The Happy Hour cheeseburgers are well worth dealing with the crowds, and the loud bar atmosphere. The prime rib is heavenly. Their baked potatoes have the right amount of butter, sour cream, and bacon bits on them. Their mixed drinks — especially their blackberry martini — are perfectly made.

This was my first time eating at Kegs and I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by the hostess and she was very nice and showed us to our table right away. I really like the vibe of this restaurant. I would feel comfortable bringing my kids here. The Keg is not like other pretentious steakhouses. I won’t name names but they are in Seattle. I ordered the burger and caesar salad for lunch. While I was waiting, the waitress brought over freshly baked bread. It was yum especially on a cold day like today. The prime burger was very flavorful. Not too much toppings to overpower the taste of the meat, just the way I like it. The salad was good too. 5 stars for the service. Hostess and waitress 4 stars for the food. Burger and salad were pretty good. I am going to round up to 5 stars because the service was that good. I am coming back soon.

I was very impressed with The Keg. This will be the place I go to next time I am craving some steak:) It is refreshing to find a good quality steakhouse while being reasonably priced. I had the grilled top sirloin and my aunt had the baseball top sirloin. We were so engrossed with our own steaks that we forgot to try each other’s steaks to find out which one was better. Instead of going with one of their excellent side options included with the steak price, we opted for a salad each and loaded up on their hot, amazing bread. Next time curious to try one of the sides such as garlic mashed potatoes or double baked potato. Although, kind of happy we went with the salad this time since we did not want to get too stuffed before a night of dancing:) Our total bill after tax and a generous tip for 2 came to $ 60 which would just cover one steak without sides at any other comparable steakhouse.

The Key is always reserved for a special meal… as was this case for my daughters birthday. Service and atmosphere is perfect, the ribeye steak was wonderful… I got the 20oz cut, way more than I could finish… the labs got a treat when we got home. We arrived early so we went to the lounge for drinks and appetizers. This place was jumping busy and LOUD. We enjoyed our drinks and finger foods. I am not sure if it was happy hour at the time. We were seated in a great location… there were 10 in our party. We all ordered different items, we all enjoyed our food… it was perfect.

Came here last minute to meet up with a friend and his gf for a late dinner/drinks. Our server was extremely nice and funny. We came pretty close to 9pm, so there was absolutely no wait and there wasn’t too many people dining at that time. We sat down, our waitress took our drink order and gave us some to wait for our friends before ordering food. I ordered their ceasar salad which was really good, but it completely drenched in dressing. I forgot to ask for it on the side, so that’s my mistake. My husband ordered their prime rib and he LOVED it! I did try a piece, but it was a little more rare than I liked it and their creamy horseradish was delicious. Overall, great meal, great waitress/service and great company. I would definitely love to come back!

Have been going to the Keg for early birthday celebration occasions(because they do send out $ 25 off entrée in the month of your birthday if you joined their mailing list!). The service has always been great and the prices of their steaks were really reasonable($ 25-$ 30ish) for entrée(which usually comes with your choice of salad, potato-ish side of your choice and grilled vegetables). Not bad for their prices at all! For the two times that I have been there to redeem the $ 25 birthday coupons, I had their Oscar sirloin entrée and it was pretty good. Really filling(especially if you also have their bread and order a dessert to share later!) and really good value(especially given the coupon you get!). Service is attentive and friendly. Wouldn’t mind going there again. Don’t compare this place with Daniel Broilers or Metropolitan Grill because obviously the steaks are off different standards. However, if you want a nice steak meal with good value, the Keg isn’t a bad place to explore either! P. S.: Go sign up for their mailing list for your free $ 25 off coupon on your birthday! It’s a good deal to use for an excuse to go eat at the Keg once in a while!
