Good food, quick service, reasonable pricing. I had the cheese quesadilla with pico de gallo for lunch. It was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful with a side of hot sauce. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall off 120th(in the same parking lot with Total Wine and Uwajimaya). The dining area is a bit small; not too many tables, but it seems most of the customers got their orders«to go», so it probably doesn’t matter.

Good value for an any day lunch. Try the taco Tuesday’s. Ground beef or chicken tacos or burritos can’t go wrong very often here. Spanish rice and retried beans are always tasty. In and out as quickly as chipotle

Watch your total at the cash register. I went there twice in the past week and was overcharged both times. Also, they keep the fish filets under heat lamps for too long so they are usually hard and the edges are inedible. The TDM in downtown Kirkland will heat up fish for you when you order it.

Tried this place again today and not so great even second chance, better/quicker service but 2 tacos(1 fish/1 chicken) were soggy, bland and really not good. Shame as it’s close by but will have to find somewhere else. OK I may have been spoilt having lived in Southern CA for nearly 20 years so I know what good tacos should taste like.

Food was good, fast, and inexpensive. Wasn’t the best burrito I’ve ever had but definitely not bad at all. If you need fast good and cheap this is your stop.

I was in town for business and ate here for lunch on Wednesday. It’s decent Mexican fast food. The service was polite and friendly, though.

I work nearby and was starving for lunch when a co-worker recommended this place. I had never before been to a Taco Del Mar, so I had no idea what to expect. I was told to try the taco salad, which sounded good to me, on this sunny day. So off I went… Those of you who know this parking lot(shared by Uwajimaya, Total Wines, and Bartells to the north) know that it is a horrid set-up. Making matters worse, I went at prime-time lunch hour, and a jerk in a Porsche in front of me decided to simply stop mid-aisle in the lot, no indication why and no hazard lights or any warning, simply to wait for a vacancy in spots in front of the TDM/bagel shop/Starbucks strip. Jerk!(I always seem to be behind the most clueless and/or jerk drivers in this lot. Always!). I found a place far from the TDM entry, trying to avoid wandering shoppers meandering through the lot, and cars who appeared to be lost.(I swear, this is the most dangerous spot in King County!). Getting back to the restaurant, I DID try the taco salad, and I was impressed! The guy serving me was very pleasant, the service was fast, I liked how clean the place was(cute palm tree in the middle of the restaurant!). My salad was really tasty, and the lettuce was super fresh. The taco shell was crisp and had a good flavor to it(I had anticipated throwing out the shell after eating the salad, as I thought it’d be bland and soggy. But it was none of those things!). My only semi-qualms: the salad wasn’t that large(I expected a larger portion), and the churro I got for dessert was quite small, barely warm at all, and nothing special, in any sense of the word. I’ll be back again, for sure, for the salad. I’ll just know to try to come at an off-time, to avoid the parking lot pitfalls.

Excellent bang for the buck. I love their fresh food because I have food allergies. Taco Tuesday is a great meal. Their fresh brewed Ice Tea is the darkest of any restaurant in the area, even sit down service.

I keep coming back for tacos because quite simply I’m too hungry to wait in long lines at Chipotle. While known for the fish tacos, their pork tacos are pretty tasty with the hot salsa. For value they’re pretty good too — you can get coupons all over and daily specials. My wish is they’d grill the corn tortillas rather than steaming them, they get a bit gummy that way. Also why not learn from Chipotle and get on the humane/antibiotic free/organic/etc bandwagon? Of course then the lines would be too long and I’d starve waiting.

Food is good and the portions are large. Don’t expect to find a large menu that includes tamales or flan. I love their burritos. Parking can sometimes be an issue.

Good food, not so hot parking lot. Taco del Mar excels at seafood tacos. Admit it, they do. We’ve come here for lunch for a long time and have tried most things on the menu, but I always come back for the seafood. Well the name«Taco del Mar,» does mean«taco of the sea» in Spanish! D’oh! Nearby Ooba Tooba does a better job in many ways, but there they are landlocked and it’s hard to find parking. Here it’s just difficult getting in and out without getting into an accident. Enjoy!

a good place when i’m craving tacos during my work day. it pisses me off that they offer a vegan option but i have to pay for the guacamole. no meat, no cheese, no sour cream. but i have to pay for the one item i get instead of those 3? no wonder chipotle is thriving.

Any place that sells mexican food(regardless if it’s an American food chain) serves unlimited salsa. When you ask for more salsa or to have anything on the side, they’re very shady. I LOVEMYDAMNSALSA!!! Rather run over to Bel-Square even if it’s a bit further on my lunch break.

Went here cause it was close to work for the day, I got enchiladas and she made them really small, thought it was weird till I read other reviews. The one by my house in west seattle the staff is much nicer.

The manager contacted me and refunded the entire amount that was billed to my card but I would have rather paid the regular amount and not gone thru this whole ordeal…

I would say im kind of a burrito snob since i live in California. *pauses for jokes about California from the Seattle crowd* With this in mind I will start my review by saying the bar with which I measure burritos is about as high as an olympic pole vault. While nothing compares to what im used to, Taco Del Mar is more than in need of some serious help. For you burrito-deprived locals(me included for the last 8 months), when looking for a great burrito shop there are a few things to bear in mind. A place that is(tackiliy) filled with Mexican flags, sombreros and pinatas is a good start. Music that has a latin flair and in a foreign language is also on the positive side of things, and most importantly, if everything is painted in a color you would never consider putting on your walls, or your halloween costume for that matter, you have hit the jackpot. Now that we have been properly trained to appraise a winning establishment what do the following things tell you: surfboards on the wall, tiki hut tables and pictures of hula dancers? Not exactly what is expected. How about 1960’s surf music… nothing says mariachi to me like the Beach Boys. I will say however that the staff was all Mexican(not really a stretch for a commercial fast food joint). The meat was dry and tasteless, the beans overcooked and the rice was worse than uncle ben’s. And all this for a price that is far more than one would ever consider paying for such sub-mediocrity. The only thing saving this place from 1-star hell is that the only good burrito shop I know of is like 800 miles away. PLEASESEATTLE! MESSAGEMEIFYOUCANSAVEMEFROMHAVINGTOCOMEBACKHERE!!!(and chipotle doesnt count!) I would almost rather eat off the gut-truck that visits my construction site every day but if you havent already guessed from the name, the food on there isnt exactly easy on the digestive track…
