Located in the center of downtown Bellevue, this Starbucks is inevitably always busy. The baristas do a great job getting through the crowd efficiently; however, the quality of my food and drinks suffer. This morning, for instance, I ordered a spinach & feta breakfast wrap and the center was still cold and tasted like it’s been sitting in the freezer for a while.

i really like the wide assortment of seating options in here, and that not a lot of people seem to come here outside of expedia’s normal operating hours. only drawback is that this location closes early. some electrical outlets available.

Delicious baked breakfast goods for a coffee shop. I really like the sausage breakfast sandwich and the cheese danish. The coffee is standard starbucks quality which is generally pretty good but not necessarily spectacular. They are exceptionally fast at working their way through a long line of customers(which they generally have first thing in the morning at 9am). They have a ton of staff working behind the counter and they are always very friendly.

Standard Starbucks stuff, but they definitely earn their five stars for service! The entire team(at least M-F) is consistently friendly which I consider a huge feat given their demographic of Bellevue business customers.

I’m not sure how to rate this really… its a Starbucks, and everything you’d expect from one. It’s mid-size, with extra seating around the office building lobby. Lines can get long when all us corporate schills get the caffeine craving at the same time, but it goes pretty quickly.

Generally a good Starbucks. Heard today that they won’t take orders over the phone which disappoints me. Can take a little while to get your drink but otherwise A reasonably good Starbucks

It’s a small place but the workers makes it so much bigger then it is with there customer service, plus if you go there at least 3 – 4 time in a row, the employees remembers your name, I thought that was cool!

Everytime I go here, there is a massive line. But, these guys and gals are so frikkin’ good at their jobs that the line goes by so super fast. Sometimes, my drinks and snacks are ready even before I get a chance to pay! I’ve never had a Starbucks that felt like home, but this one certainly does. I guess it helps that it’s just across the street from the PSE building. But, you know what I mean. They’re always so pleasant, too, especially to the regulars. ^_~ Thank you for always making my day and putting yummies in my tummy!

Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks, right? Wrong. I can walk into any ol’ place and tell just by the caliber of people working behind the counter as to whether or not they’ll understand my usual order. Then I have to decide whether to fall back on the standby(ugh, just a plain ol’ mocha) or to confound the staff with the seemingly simple request for«heavy cream poured in cold». Not at this location. We got off to a rough start, but it was because they were trying to steam my heavy cream instead of just pouring it in. Believe it or not, that changes the whole dynamic of my drink. Once they got it down, they’re the only place I trust now to get it right every time. In fact, one morning I came in and my brain LEFT me. Packed up bags and moved out, leaving me standing in front of the barista with the blankest, stupidest look on my face. Me: «I don’t…I don’t remember what I was going to order.» Barista: «You’re the heavy cream girl, right?» Me: «Yeah. I don’t remember the rest, though.» Barista: «Hrm, let’s see… sugar-free something… Americano?» Me: «Yes! Americano! Sugar-free caramel! Heavy cream poured in cold! OHLAWD I NEEDCOFFEENOW.» Barista: «See, I got your back.» That is exactly why I keep coming back. The staff is top-notch and they even remember my ridiculous coffee order. If you’re reading this, Civica Starbucks staff, you’re my faves.

This starbucks is the small shotgun variety in a cheesy old strip shopping center without a lot of parking spots. Their coffee was good and the service was friendly. Location is, uh, needing enhancing.

As with most other Starbucks the experience is the same. The main stand out is the staff… I’ve not had any problems with my orders, and my co-workers that come with me for coffee have been able to have their errors corrected quickly and with a smile.

… … … … t h e r e … we go… coffee just kicked in. We all have certain expectations when it comes to Starbucks, and this store delivers. A decent cup of joe? Check. Delivered in a timely fashion? Boom. By an efficient, friendly staff? Shazam! That last one is the deciding factor for many of my reviews, especially when it comes to places as «generic» as Starbucks. They know my name! Sweet! That makes me feel awesome. Now I’ll be less inclined to yell at them when they mess up my order. Just kidding, I’m not one of the crazies. Those people need to lay *off* the coffee. Just sayin’. Sure, Starbucks, corporate giant/sellouts/generic/blah blah blah, we’ve heard it all. For the record, I love SB as much as small, indie coffee shops. Can’t we all just get along?

Like many of my generation, I have a love-hate relationship with Starbucks. They are the GM of coffee. I am tempted to dump it and then they come up with something cool like Clover brewed coffee and I come running back. The stores and the culture are so homogeneous, I try to avoid reviewing them unless there is something different to talk about. For example, this Starbucks sits off an office lobby with nice comfortable couches, and a fountain.

The three stars is for the service here, not the products. I heart Starbucks. I can’t help it, I’ve tried all the other organic coffee stuff and drinks from smaller cafes and what not, but I’m not going to lie. I LOVESTARBUCKS! And I don’t even feel guilty about it. The last few times that my co-workers and I have gone here, the service has been mediocre or below. There are about four or five employees working behind the counter during the busy mornings and whoever’s passing our orders to the barista usually forgets the order OR makes an extra one because they don’t notice it’s already been made. One time, my co-worker pointed to a pastry and asked what it was because it didn’t have a label and the lady was just like«well OBVIOUSLY it’s the blueberry!» Seriously? C’mon! There’s no label, cut her some slack and cut back on the attitude. Sheesh. How rude. It sucks that this is the closest one near the office… the Starby’s in the Bellevue City Center building on the other hand… I like.

Look Starbucks, I am trying to quit you because even though you started local you have emerged into an evil corporate empire, but this morning I stopped in to get a Grande Drip(only because you were closer to me than the Ladro at the time) and now you gotta bring out the specialty hot chocolates? Specifically, a SALTEDCARAMELHOTCHOCOLATE? And then you place a sample of it right in front of me on the counter??? HOWDOYOUEXPECTMETORESISTTHIS??? Oh right. You don’t. And that’s why you’re pure evil. Disclaimer: That 4th star is only for the Salted Caramel-y Hot Chocolate goodness!!!

The Best Starbucks in the universe is actually in Bellevue. Of course it has nothing to do with décor or coffee being better in one store or the other, it’s all about the staff. The staff at the Starbucks in the Civica Office Building is so wonderful. They will go out of their way to brew up anything we ask for. They even make french presses of things that look interesting to us. Also, they frequently come up in to the offices I work in, find the regulars, and give us treats in the afternoon: sometimes it’s samples of new coffees, sometimes muffins. I thank them for introducing us to the Black Apron Kenya Kirinyaga a few months back… it’s easily the best coffee I’ve ever had. My officemates and I bought several boxes. Not only that, but they have come by a couple times and given us free brewing seminars and shown the difference technique and equipment can make. Of course they know our names and regular drinks too, but it’s more like visiting you’re friend’s shop than a bland corporate establishment. Larry, in particular is always very nice. Say hi to him and hear about his latest auctioneering tales.
