Food is good but their service is consistently terrible. I’ve been several times and it’s been the same every time. It’s such a promising concept and atmosphere but the lack of good service makes us think twice about dining there. As for food, the brisket dip is really good. They also have a great dessert menu.

I had a coupon which led me to this place. It has a fun environment and the food was really good. I loved the beer flight. All of the beers were really yummy. The service was great. I can’t wait to go again.

I’ve previously reviewed Publicity much higher. I’ve assumed that the place would continue to improve its beer selection including educating servers etc. I don’t expect them to be serving microbrews in the appropriate glass wear, but I do expect them(server, bartender, someone) to know what is the type of each of the beers on draft. Last night the server didn’t know any of the beers and when she went to ask the bartender, he didn’t know either. Since I didn’t know most of the names and she couldn’t tell me if any of them was an IPA, I just ended up sampling three and selecting the one I preferred. Belleview is becoming more educated about the world of beer and if Publicity doesn’t catch up soon, competition is going to bite them in the arse.(Still giving a third star because the food is very good).

food is great and served quickly. Meatloaf is excellent. had not had mashed parsnips before but they were great as well. the best brussels i have eaten in long time. love all the varieties of draft beer. only downfall is kitchen closes at 10 and does not warn people of that.

First time to try this place and the meatloaf is amazing. And the presentation of the food was a welcome surprise. Will definitely come back!

We absolutely love this place!!! Their drinks are amazing!!! Try their 5 day forecast and the white Cosmo! They infuse their rum, vodka, and tequila in house. So delicious! Pretty much everything on the menu is amazing.

Love this place! Just moved to the area and glad to find a local. Working my way through the menu and haven’t had a bad dish yet. Service is fabulous.

I really want to like this place but I feel that their prices are a little high and the beer pours are small(too many in 10oz glasses for $ 8 or $ 9) for a local pub. I’d be there all the time if it were more reasonable.

I see all the great reviews on here, and I really want to like this place. I live nearby and lots of us Bellevuers really want cool non-chain places to pop up here. The service here has always been good, and their beer selection is great. As far as the food, I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Everything I’ve ever had here is bland, except for the garlic fries which are almost too much for me(and that’s hard to do). I just tried the Brisket Dip and it was just dry meat with some overcooked onions on some decent bread. If you’re charging $ 13 for a sandwich in Bellevue at lunch, it really needs to shine and this didn’t. I continue to be disappointed by this place, but I might give it one or two more tries before I totally give up.

We went on a Thursday(flight night) and we were so pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is located in a strip mall, but the food is excellent quality and really different! They have a great selection, excellent service, and a laid back atmosphere. It really is an unexpected gem! I will definitely be back for more happy hours and dinners, especially because of the location. Great restaurant outside of the craziness of downtown and other busy areas of Nashville! Make sure to get the sweet potato tots or the garlic fries! My friends had burgers, and I got the chicken sandwich(which was awesome), but I’ll definitely try a burger next time or the chicken pot pie. I highly recommend this spot!

Yep. A strip mall in Bellevue is worth your time. In addition to housing a beer, wine & spirits store you should check out(with another one across the street; one of the best in the metro), there’s Publicity. As one of the few gastropubs(are these still a thing? I remember that Chicago used to be loaded with them) in the Nashville metro area, they’ve got a pretty good thing going on and the lack of competition does them well. Even if they had a bevy of competitors, Publicity could stand tall with its beer program and food offerings… And, happy hour. I found myself in Bellevue on a cold Wednesday afternoon and I knew I wanted a beer. A quick tap-tap-tap on my Unilocal app and I ‘found’ Publicity. Better yet, though, I ‘found’ that the pub offers happy hour from 3 – 6. Discounted prices on booze and food? Sign me up! I started things off with a chocolate-orange porter. I’d never had one and the season was right for porters AND it was happy hour… so, why not? It was an interesting brew. I don’t know that I’d order it again, but I had two that day. Because, happy hour. In addition to happy hour, Publicity offers a variety of theme days(wine, 2-for-1s). I hope this is due to a whimsical management and not because they have to resort to tricks to get butts in seats. For our appetizer, we opted for the poutine. 1.) Fries with stuff on ‘em is always a good order and 2.) When it’s cold, you can eat what you want… the fattier and more decadent, the better. It’s a rule. The poutine here, for being nowhere near Montréal, was positively decent. I enjoyed it and would order it again. Since I’d said ‘eff it’ to my diet, I went all in and ordered the fish & chips. I received two Flinstone-sized pieces of breaded cod(flakey, buttery and crunchy from the breading) and a tartar sauce that was dense enough to hold up to the fish. I am not a fan of most white, creamy sauces but make them runny? Nope. I’m out. Because I couldn’t get the voice of my GP out of my head, I subbed a salad for the chips… but I topped it with blue cheese dressing. I can’t help myself. Publicity may not be enough to make me drive out to Bellevue(it’s a decent drive) but when I’m in the area(as I tend to be), it’s definitely enough to keep me out there. My service experience was positive. I liked the wood booths and ‘publicity’ angle of the menu. And, I think it’s important to realize that the Nashville metro has so much to offer outside of a few neighborhoods that get written about by outside newspapers. Lastly, how many gastropups does Nashville have? Shouldn’t you go out and try one?

One of the best fusion restaurants in Nashville… I always think of this place when I need great food and a good beer… the waitresses and bar tenders are very tentative and know about every dish… the fish and chips are the best in the state… please experience this place just once…

Easily one of if not my favorite place to eat in Nashville right now. 5th avenue selections on a Main Street budget– Chef Nick puts his heart into his unique creations. The Lima Bean Hummus is outstanding(coming from someone who hates lima beans AND hummus), Meatloaf is another of my favorites as is The Standard(a giant burger with bacon and a farm fresh egg) They have a Weekend brunch, and drink specials almost every day — don’t even get me started on the beer selection(only about 8 taps but ALWAYS getting in new and unique brews — flight night is the best — 4 pours starting around $ 5! You can’t beat it! Cocktail list is great — the 5 Day Forecast is freaking amazing(made with house infused Habenero Vodka). Have I mentioned they use local farm fresh ingredients in most of their dishes… ? Perhaps the best part of this little gem is knowing you’re supporting local business and family. Owners changed hands about a year ago and they are amazing — a sweet little family that pays extraordinary attention to detail. If for some reason your food/experience is anything less than stellar they will absolutely make it right. If you’re still reading this, stop what you’re doing — get in the car — and drive there right now!

It’s official. The new owners have ruined the place. The whole atmosphere is different. Most of the old wait staff is gone and the new staff have a less cool and less enthusiastic vibe. They have dropped many of their better menu items. The burgers seem to use a little less meat and they are not prepared as precisely — if you want medium, order rare. The garlic fries are soggy. After 3 visits since the business sold, I see no reason to go back. If I want a burger in Bellevue, at this point, I would probably go to The Alley Pub over Publicity.

Oh Publicity, you’re breaking my heart. What used to be a solidly good restaurant has fallen victim to a crappy menu reboot, bad service, and a slow kitchen. As a former waitress, I’m very forgiving but consistent poor service and food has sealed the deal for me that I’m over this place. The past several times I’ve eaten here we have left frustrated due to the slow service or totally underwhelmed by the food(but usually both). We kept trying again, hoping they would fix their problems but today’s visit has solidified that we won’t be back. Such a shame since it had such potential! Issues include: –waiting over 20 minutes for our food, including kids menu items which should come out right away(10min or less) –waiting over 8 minutes to put in a drink order after we sat down –food is dry and mediocre at best, bread and tortillas taste bland or old –side salad is now iceberg lettuce instead of a spring mix — the farthest thing from«gastro» you can get –they removed my favorite item from the menu — the Grilled Salad! Wtf?! –the beer list has transitioned to a thoughtful selection to a very boring one So overall, slow service and mediocre food strongly disqualifies this as a gastro pub.
