You know when you realize you want to/need to start therapy and have no idea how to start finding someone and you then think how a therapist/psychologist should be so you don’t run away within 15 minutes? That’s how he is. No, honestly. If you’re extremely anxious, maybe agoraphobic, panic ridden or just a social recluse, go there, your worst fears won’t come true. If you’re so depressed or so confused you don’t even know how to start, no, if to start at all, then go there, too, because he won’t make you feel more embarrassed or weird than you do anyway and he’ll help you through the hour and it will be no big deal. If you think your problems are too bad and shameful, if you have substance abuse problems, then I’d send you there, too, because he doesn’t judge. Addictions are a specialty. Don’t think you’re too sick or crazy, he’s knowledgeable and experienced. It will be OK. You don’t have to be worried well to see him. He is calm, understanding and mature. Yes, I have to point it out because if you think that’s a given for therapists/psychologists then I must kindly inform you that this is not the case. Far from it. He is just really good and humble, too. He has helped me a lot and through very difficult times and I am very grateful for that. I’d give him 10 stars if I could.
