Sad to hear of the recent events… This was a family favorite back in the day.

This place is closed. I’ve never been there but noticed that it’s been closed for a few weeks now. It’s been there forever. I heard someone mentioned that the owner passed away.

I remember my mom taking me here 8 years ago. Wow what a difference. I think back then it was actually owned by a old japanese couple. Nowadays? the food has gone completely downhill. Even the gyoza is deepfried instead of being panfried. What happened? This place died like factoria mall.

This is not a sushi place, more of a Japanese comfort food-style of restaurant. I like their ramen, curry, and especially their chicken katsu.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand these other reviews. Nothing is good here. Not the sushi, not the bento boxes, not the miso soup, not the udon, nothing. Tastes no better than pre-made stuff you can make at home. Prices are also way too high for what it is. Were it not for its convenient location right on the outside of Factoria Square, with T-Mobile and a few other businesses nearby, this place would have disappeared long ago.

I graduated from Newport High School(also in Factoria) in 1996, at which point«The She» seemed to be a gather place for a number of people in my circle of friends. If you were ever looking for a game of hacky-sack — or looking to procure a different kind of sack, the smokers area immediately outside their enterence was a good place to go. A number of my friends worked there at the time, so I ate there pretty frequently. They have a number of good things on the menu, but in my opinion, the best option is the Chicken Katsu Dom Buri. Holy crap is that good– I’ve been eating it for over 15 years and I still love it! For those of you who don’t know, this is a breaded, fried chicken cutlet that’s laid on a bed of rice with green and yellow onion pieces mixed into it; they then fry an egg on top of the cutlet and drizzle the Dom Buri sauce(a sweet, thin sauce that is absolutely incredible) all over it. They’ve cut down the portion size a little over the years, which is a good thing– one of my friends used to call the original the«junky bowl» because only someone who had been up for 4 days not eating could possibly finish the entire thing. Now, it’s a much more managable portion that still fills you up. I typically get a cold beer and a couple of pieces of sushi to go with it, but the real jewel is the CKDB. I would highly recommend trying this menu item if you have tried other entrees without being impressed. If it’s your first time going to OE She, bust out a pack of Marboro’s, a worn hacky sack and bitch to your friends about how life sucks in the suburbs while looking for people who might be able help you score some dope– that’s how we did it back in 96.

The food is pretty good. I’ve been going there for several years now. I went today knowing I was going to review it and I have to say that it’s a solid 4-star Japanese fast food joint. Prices are good. The atmosphere and service is a little lacking. The sushi is the sort that is edible but nothing to write home about. I’ve actually bought a few sushi platters from them, because it’s cheaper than others.

O.E. SHE appears to have a statistically bad rap on Unilocal and I don’t understand it. My dad took me to this place probably every other weekend when I was little and when I’m back in town we still patronize the crap out of it. Fantastic place in a fantastic(but bizarre) location with almost fantastic food. Run by old Japanese people staffing a constant supply of new nervous teenager waiters, although it seems like they kept that one guy who stayed 17 years old for like ten years forever. Their sushi is freaking GOOD and CHEAP. Enough said about that. Although sometimes it can get rubbery and chokeworthy and gross on the squid. Watch out for that. Cannot go wrong with a sushi combo and a Snapple. Their udon/ramen is really, really hot and pretty good but not great, Their miso soup is FANTASTIC. I dunno how they do it. We can’t emulate it. The Eastside has become a whorishly overdeveloped beast compared to what it was 10 – 15 years ago and although Factoria appears to be on the verge of a new era this place has stayed wonderfully frozen in time, not changing a bit.

Don’t know if anyone remembers this, but OE-SHE used to be a REAL good noodle joint. Udon and ramen. They would serve nabeyaki udon in a big iron pot that came right off of the stove. The last time I had been there was back in 2002. The place must be under new ownership. The regular staff I was accustomed to was gone, and the menu looks to serve teriyaki. Does anyone know what happened to this place and the former owners?

oh how I wonder if you are good or not? sushi– garbage… don’t even bother… rather eat rubber bands!!! gross service-it is what it is… a japanese fast food joint… but the katsu don! — really good… actually prettty amazing. even with all the onions that I put to the side!!! and the udon noodles are decent… go there if you are in the area and are working at t-mobile and need a quick place to grab some filling food. but I wouldn’t do the drive if you’re not in the area…

Sigh. I didn’t like this place at all — it was pretty expensive, the wait was pretty ridiculous, the wait-staff relatively unfriendly and the food lackluster. Everything was bland, and the udon was just not … up to par. The noodles were overcooked and dumped in a broth that was supposed to pass and it just didn’t do it for me. The teriyaki was reasonable — but then, its teriyaki. I just can’t seem to muster any energy to go back to this place since then. But then again, maybe I was just unlucky that first time. But I really don’t like shelling out 8 bucks for a bento box that is less than stellar paired with a long wait time, and negligent service. Then again, I may just be a cheap-o

Nestled in Factoria Mall this place is run by a lot of old Japanese people and the clientel is very much older japanese families which is surprising considering this is in a MALL. That said, normally that would be a big plus for a Japanese place, but seeing as the food is only pretty good and a tad over priced — I think its more a result of the other better options being out of the desired night time driving radius of the older Japanese families. So to be honest I really do feel they are busy because they are in Bellevue. If they were in Seattle they’d be an average Japanese place at best as I definitely prefer Maneki, Fuji Sushi, Takohachi, etc over this place. But, like I said, its one of the better Japanese places in Bellevue and for bellevue I’d actually consider this place a bang for your buck option. So if you don’t feel like driving out to seattle definitely give it a try — if however you don’t mind the drive there are better places to go. Oh and for those in the know — Yes the name O.E. SHE is a pun on Oishi — which is Japanese for delicious.

Price is right. My combo # 2 was respectable and a bargain for $ 7.95. The chicken tonkatsu was good save for the watery consistency of the tonkatsu sauce; teriyaki beef was good but a little jerkeyish. Fountain diet coke was a good mix. Also, tea should be included with Japanese… always.

The name is a little misleading, as it’s not just take-out: there’s a(rather no frills) dining room and sushi bar here, too. However, for the pricepoint, this place offers amazingly yummy and satisfying Japanese food — everything from udon to teriyaki and sashimi. And they do all rather well. The $ 8 O-E-She bento is the best deal and gives you a little bit of everything: cucumber sunomono with portions of ebi and tako, perfectly cooked tonkatsu, beef teriyaki, prawn and vegetable tempura, california roll, rice, salad, and miso soup. Yum!
