Been a while since I reviewed, so I thought I’d update.
Yes, we are members of the NW Packer Backers; we love coming to the Packer games and we especially love when we can get Char as our waitress — best ever! So very sweet and attentive! Ken is the host with the most.
The food, over the years, has improved time and time again. Very rarely are we disappointed.
Their taco soup is their absolute best — wish it were on the menu more often lol
Only reason not giving 5 stars; I think our club is outgrowing the venue. And when Ken’s not there, his second in command is not so very customer oriented. We’re told one thing on our club’s web site only to find out differently on game day. When questioned, our club and the bar points fingers at each other. I think, for the money we spend during football season, that we deserve a little better. Used to be we could come early and enjoy breakfast and watch the morning game when our Packers play the afternoon game. Now, we have to wait — staffing issues, we’re told. What changed? I can’t believe the revenue the bar loses when they do this. We have to wait outside (in the cold!) when there’s a perfectly good warm seat inside where we would be spending money on food/​drinks. I understand our group has grown, but there’s got to be a better system; especially when the Hawks and Pack play at the same time. Yeah, it’s primarily a Seahawk Bar (Ken’s a big 12^th man! Season tickets and all!), but if you’re going to cater to a specific football group (the NW Packer Backers), then you ought to treat them just a little bit nicer, I’m thinking.
Still, if our group decides to stay here, we’ll be back. Love our Mustard Seed and love our Ken and our Char!

cool, chill place to go to if you wanna hang out somewhere away from the busy city scene. friendly staff, good food and good beer selection. plus, they have pool tables, so that’s always a plus.

FOOD & DRINKS– Plenty of food options. Everything from burgers to taquitos. Lots of beers and they don’t hold back on the whiskey.
SERVICE — Great service, the waitress was alway coming around and made sure we were happy.
LOCATION — Tucked away in Newport hills, but it’s one of the few sports bars I enjoy because mostly everyone is laid back and local. Surprisingly busy on game nights. Would give 5 stars if the place was cleaner.
PRICE — Average prices, no complaints

Had so much fun here. Green Bay Packer land right in Bellevue/​Seattle. Chicken wings were tasty. We will definitely come back. Make sure you go a couple of hours before the game starts so you can get a table. Wall to wall Packer fans.

One of my favorite spots of all time. Great friendly staff, good long term owner, good prices, and it’s a staple of the Newport Hills/​Newcastle area in south Bellevue.
Happy Hour is very chill with a very stable set of personable locals who are always ready to chat. Food is very reliable, and Tuesday Taco day for $ 2 tacos is always a standard operation.
Contrary to popular wisdom via some other Unilocal reviews, it’s very supremely chill and the staff will always make you happy.
Meatloaf is a surprise win, as is the Fettuccine Alfredo!

It’s all about the right waitress here, today waitress we had, bad attitude all the way. Lost her tip !!! And I tip well but I don’t look like I would ;),

I like the mustard seed. It is a cool bar, but also lots of restaurant seating. Food is very good. Prices are decent. Portions are very fair. It is surprisingly family friendly for a bar. Lots of cool sports memorabilia, especially mariners, seahawks, and green bay packers! Service is ok in the restaurant area, but again, this is a bar. I would recommend and will return again!

I take my daughter to Kumon next door, so I had some time to kill with my wife. We’ve seen this place over and over, so we decided why not check out a bar as we just moved to Newport Hills. My wife was a bit leery of the place, it is your stereotypical dive bar, so she wanted me to go in first. I did, first 10 feet looked pretty good. A family was quietly eating, then as I approach the bar and pool tables. I see 4 customers, and a bartender plus two waitresses. They looked at me, as if I had murdered their kids. Gave me the — please get the f-​out vibes. So I just turned around and left. Such a shame as this place has potential. Hopefully some corporate folks take over the strip mall. I’m hoping for this place to get replaced with a contemporary bar, bill’s to get replaced with Safeway and the batting cage with LA fitness. Given how diverse and upscale Newport Hills is becoming. This bar plus the strip mall needs to go away like the dinosaurs. I will not be coming back until they are out of business.

The server was really friendly. My husband and I ordered the veggie platter. The hummus was good and so was the ranch. However, the veggies were pretty terrible they were brown and soggy. Some pieces were edible but overall pretty gross plate. The pizza and mud pie were good.

Was pretty much ignored by the waitstaff on the two occasions I’ve gone. Was there to root for the Packers, so I needed the have a fair amount of hydration. My girl had to go to the bar to get refills and was there to watch the game. I got a raging headache and a sore throat, because of being ignored. Food so so. Probably won’t be back.

Where to begin… I asked for a glass of wine… my friend had to go get it after 10 minutes. Then these 2 guys come in and confront my friends and try to pick a fight… punches are thrown… the «bouncers» show up and drag one of the guys away who is still fuming over nothing… unbelievable…what a dive.
Too many «Low Education» patrons.
Probably never go back.

Best bar ever. Ok i may be biased since they host packer group hehe. But alas: Great food, drinks, and service. Even on packer days. Sure they aren’t perfect, but in my book they are up there. Anyone who can handle ten dozen crazy packer fans gets my props! They’ve always been very nice to me, even when I stood in the wait staff section of bar :/​oops.

I came here since a friend plays APA and this is their home bar. The food was ok, for fried food what do you expect, and the angry balls got me buzzed pretty good (granted I already had a couple beers before coming). The waitress only checked on me once and that was when my friend was with me. But the bartender was awesome. So the extra star is for him

The only reason I come here is because I live so close. It’s an easy place to go if I want to watch the game, play pool, or not cook.
The food– Average. Takes a while to get your food which is a pain when it’s nothing special.
The service… there is one waitress who works here, shes older, blonde, and always has her boobs hanging out. She was especially rude to me and my friends when we came here the first time. Ignored us for a long time, then lied to us said she was getting off and wanted us to close our checks so she could «come join the party». We closed our checks… She never got off work. The next time I came here she also had an attitude.
As for the other waitress I’ve had here, who was in her 20’s and tall, she was very sweet.
Edit: The rude waitress’s name is Mary and she has brown hair not blonde.

Last time I went is was a pretty average dive, there is a new owner so a revisit is in order.
I love the sofas and TVs are plenty!

Packer fans 10 stars! Bar 1.5…only because so many TVs and sound for packers game.
We found Mustard Seed on the Packers website as a Packer bar in Bellevue, we had gone to two in Seattle that called themselves packer bars, and had the game on 1 tv with no sound. Here it was awesome, huge reserved area with lots of TVs and the big screen showing the game. It was packed! Love all the fans!
Since we had such bad luck in past, we decided last minute to come try this bar. It was so packed! They did a great job of finding us some chairs to squeeze in the area. So awesome!
But that’s were awesome ends. I don’t know if it was because the one waitress had a huge area of fans to cover (management should have better staff coverage on packer game day) and we weren’t exactly at a table, but she refused to acknowledge us, let alone serve us. The couple squeezed in next to us asked for menus at the beginning of game and at 3 min to half time she hadn’t even brought them. She came all the way down the table one chair length away from us and turned around without asking us.
Multiple times I tried to get her attention and was ignored. Finally the packer organizer asked the couple next to us how they were doing and they explained the situation and he made the waitress come over.
It was incredible, I’ve never in my life been so blatantly ignored. In the end we didn’t order food because we didn’t want to tip this waitress. It’s really too bad, we really want to like this place!

I am a fan. Mostly because the waitress there is super awesome and makes the place very nice to visit. The staff are very on it and helpful. The people that attend there are nice too but, if you’re not in their click or rub them the wrong way, I have seen uncomfortable situations. This opinion is coming from a guy that went there every week to play a billiard league for one term and frequent the bar now and then since it is down the street.
I would not visit the place if it was not for the awesome staff. And I would go there more often if the ambiance was better. The bad part is that they have a billiard league every day so regular people can’t enjoy the place very often.
The food is actually pretty ok for my tastes. Better than bar food and average on pricing. Good hang out if you have a group as well since the dining area is usually available.

Love this place! Awesome bartenders, good prices, pool and darts. Not to mention lucky pull tabs and Scratchers.

Updated review: I am only giving one star because there is no negative rating. I originally gave this place a one star, but would like to take it back and give them nothing.
I unfortunately have to come here when we play pool in our league. When we are stuck coming here, the wait for the food is shockingly slow. The waitresses have gotten worse. Didn’t realize it was possible. They are usually nice. They are not attentive but at least they were nice.
My biggest gripe with them is, knowing it takes at least an hour for food to come out, we planned ahead. We placed an order for food, expecting it would take 60 – 90 minutes. We touched base with the waitress. She assured us it was coming. 90 minutes passed. We asked again. She said it was almost done.
It has now been two hours. We asked again. She checks… turns out they lost our order! I can understand mistakes happen and things can get hectic in a busy restaurant… assuming it was busy… It wasn’t.
As a paying patron, I would appreciate them to check before telling me misinformation about where my order is. That is my biggest gripe. The lack of attention to detail and follow through of the blonde waitress/​bartender. If she wasn’t busy showing off her breasts to the male patrons and strutting, she would be an awesome waitress. She would have my business on nights where I don’t have pool. Such a shame since I discovered they make awesome tuna melts. Not worth it to wait more than two hours for it.
My only intent with this rant is for people to be aware of the service here. The food is decent. They have decent pool tables and dart boards. Has so much potential to be an awesome hangout if they can get their service staff to actually do their job well.
