I can appreciate that maternity clothes are a bit like prom dresses: it might be tempting to wear ‘em once and then return them. But Mimi/Motherhood’s «Absolutely No Refunds» policy seems a bit draconian. Things happen, you know? I’d hope if you took tagged merchandise with a doctor’s note saying you’d miscarried, they might show some compassion – but I doubt it. That said, this is the only place around to get maternity petites. Some items are pricey, but the sales are great. My $ 140 got me three pairs of pants, two shirts, two pairs of tights, and a lame belly band. And it’s mostly pretty cute. I love the fact that trendy tops now make everybody look pregnant, so I can blend right in.

The two blouses I bought here on sale were okay. But if you’re shopping here for the first time, be aware that the clerks will ask you some(I believe) personal questions, e.g. your baby’s due date, your phone number, your address… I felt like I was at a job interview rather than clothes shopping. READ the fine print on their receipt because they’ll make you INITIAL it. Mimi Maternity’s Store Policy: «NO cash refunds or credit card returns.» 1. If merchandise is regular priced, you only have 10 days to return it with a receipt. You don’t get your money back. You may only exchange or get store credit. 2. No exchanges or store credit on Sale merchandise at all. If you’re buying a gift for a pregnant friend, skip this store and buy something for the baby. Let mama do her own clothes shopping.
