M2 Hair and Spa

I purchased a groupon for this place and had a facial with Moji. For the price of the groupon, this place was ok. Its definitely not a spa-​experience, and very no-​frills and bare bones kinda place. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear out in the receptionist area. Also while I was getting my facial, the CD kept skipping which was kinda annoying! However, Moji seemed really kind and was good to my skin. I came here for a facial, not for the experience.

Consider it an express facial. Quick, got the job done. However, if you are looking for a spa-​like experience, don’t come here.

I discovered this place on Groupon for a Brazilian, and I haven’t been anywhere else since I met Moji. She makes me feel so comfortable which is super important to me when it comes to my happy zone.
She is super quick and her technique for ripping out the hair minimizes the amount of pain you feel. Plus she removes the entire hair follicle which means I can go longer in between waxes. If you let her she will even go above and beyond and remove those pesky ingrown hairs. She really makes sure she gets everything!
The only reason I didn’t give her 5 stars is because she is super hard to get an appointment with, she’s that’s good.

Ample parking. Receptionist checks you in.
Facial is in a room beside the check-​in area. You walk by this room to the rest rooms and there are stations for the hairdressers right outside.
So if you are looking for quiet, this is not it.
The bed was adequate but narrow. The lighting was an electric flame less candle. She wears a miners headlight while examining your face. Think it would help if lighting was improved because there was still some mask on my face when she was done.
All in all an unusual experience.

Just Very disappointed:
Found a groupon for a Brazilian.
Didn’t say anywhere on the website or groupon that it didn’t apply to guys.
Basically felt very offended and discriminated against.
The staff didn’t make me feel very good about the situation either, it was very embarrassing to be refused service because of ones gender.
UPDATE:
Also I recently saw the very same groupon ad pop up on a smart phone app targeted towards gay men. So assumingly only guys would see this ad.

Wouldn’t recommended.

I was told these products were 100% natural with no chemicals. I looked at the labels and saw there were indeed chemicals in the products. I have chemical sensitivity and only use natural products on my face and the two product lines that were used there were not 100% natural. I am a holistic health coach and have studied chemicals in products and know how to spot chemicals in products.
The sheets were stained red and the blanket had a ton of stains. The robe looked like it came from GoodWill and the velcro didn’t even work.
The facial consisted of a mask and then another mask which seemed the exact same on top of the first mask and then washed off. I have had a lot of facials and 2 masks to me is NOT a facial.
She left white mask on my face when I left.
It was not at all relaxing with music playing loudly from the hair salon and I froze with one tiny blanket on.
This place EXTREMELY disappointing and will NOT be returning!

Moji is the sweetest and she performs an outstanding Microdermabrasion/​facial combination treatment!

Used the groupon for facial with Moji, and loved it.
The salon is right off 405, although it’s just a little hard to find. Ample parking in front. The room was quiet and Moji played soothing music.
Moji is a bright, gregarious woman who is very capable. She understood the needs of my acne prone, oily skin, and tailored the facial for that, using high frequency to kill the surface bacteria. She was gentle with my skin, but still gave it a good scrub/​massage. My skin felt squeaky clean and pampered afterward. The facial lasted about an hour.
Moji is personable, but since I can see how some people may take her talkativeness the wrong way. Just steer the conversation gently and she will be happy to change topics. I liked how open she was on giving me tips on managing my skin, without trying to push products.
All in all, one of the best facials I’ve gotten, and I will be returning.

I got the facial through Groupon and the experience was just OK.
Trying it once on a discount was fine, but I wouldn’t do it again.

Microdermabrasion by Moji has been so successful. I have Syringomas and Milia that need regular treatment. I have been getting treatments for over 8 years and Moji does a great job. I like her unique and rich personality, she and I enjoy talks while she conducts my skin treatments. And, she even was willing to adjust the pressure to accommodate my needs. I live in Renton and don’t mind driving to Bellevue for her service. In the past I have tried others but they don’t work with you in regards to pressure needs or requests. My skin looks wonderful, I plan to see her a 3^rd time next month. Plus I enjoy her music, its soothing and of classical from the early 1800’s. I would give a 5, only thing is they need to be in Renton! LOL.
I saw other reviews for Moji, which I thought was funny. A «Candace» mentioned pain that was not typical? That is funny. I get waxes in many places/​locations and its always painful especially if you don’t take an aspirin beforehand. And, don’t go before your period. Funny posting. I am over 42 and realize pain comes with waxing.

I highly recommend Moji for facials, tried on a groupon and have kept coming monthly. The service is excellent and always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. The staff are very kind and Moji is the best. If you are looking for a wonderful facial at a great price, M2 is a must. I can see such an overall improvement in my skin. Moji is great and location is convenient. Finding at first is a bit tricky your 1^st visit but no problem after you’ve been.

Not pleased. this is my «convo”/feedback i gave to living social after using the deal:
Me: «Although Moji, the owner and the woman who performe the Brazilian wax on me, was a very sweet woman, she clearly lacks in experience with waxing. The process was unecessarily painful, more so than usual, and her room was unprofessional (I could see her security cameras, all her back stock etc. unsightly to a new client). I will not be returning, due to these issues.»
Her: «JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION I HAVE SO MANY YEARS EXPERIENCE IN WAXING I AM SORRY YOU FEEL LIKE THAT. I DONT HAVE ANY BACK STOCK THOSE ALL MY PRODUCT I USE IN MY SERVICES BECAUSE I AM DOING TOO MANY SERVICES I HOPE YOU FIND SOME PLACE ELSE TO PLEASE YOU MORE GOOD LUCK» (she did all caps, ouch!)
Me: «Feedback about your service, or business, is meant to be constructive criticism, and should be taken as such to help you build cliental in the long run. If, like you say, you have been doing many Brazilian waxes, then I suggest learning new techniques to improve the comfort of your client. Also, being that I have been getting solely Brazilian waxes since I started getting waxed, I know how it is supposed to feel, and my opinion is one with value that could help. I have had good and bad experiences, all of the bad experiences consisted of the person not allowing the hard wax dry/​harden enough, resulting in an excruciating experience, or the person waxing the same spot too many times (instead of simply tweezing the stubborn hair) leading to a rash or sensitive spots. The other main thing I had an issue with is you used hand sanitizer on your non-​porous gloves. Due to them being non-​porous, the sanitizer solution instead was absorbed on to my freshly waxed, open pored, vagina. Change gloves if you wish to, but the hand sanitizer on such a sensitive area can lead to rashes and further more– IS PAINFUL. As for the look of the room, a curtain is a good way to hide your extra supplies cameras, etc, and make it look presentable and professional to your hopefully returning client. I hope this advice helps, and I wish you all the success!»
