Lander Electric

Lander are in the process of wrapping up the electrical /​high voltage and the AV /​networking /​low voltage work for me on the custom home we are building, and I can say without any reservations that they have been hands down the absolute best subcontractor /​trades vendor during the whole long and arduous 2 year construction process. My project ended up being challenging and complex in many ways, and the Lander folks never complained and in fact they have always been an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were incredibly thorough in reading through and understanding my specs, and ALL of their people on my job truly seem to want to do great work and not just «get the work done». Joe, the head electrical guy on my job, and Don, their manager on the low voltage side, have been especially great to deal with. I honestly have a hard time trusting any of the negative reviews for Lander based on my experience with them, and I would have no reservations recommending them for anything from the smallest job to the most complex and custom project.

I have been using Lander for my electrical projects since 1992. I have had them install new outlets, do network wiring, do electrical work for a new air conditioner, repair landscape lighting and lots of other projects. I guess there might be 25 projects over the years. They have always showed up when they said they would, done the work professionally, and charged what they said they would charge.
One recent project was to install a 220v outlet in my shop for use with a table saw. The county inspector who examined the work said that he was always happy to hear that he was inspecting Lander work because he seldom had to give a homeowner bad news.

2 guys x $ 45/​hour x 3 hours to hook up A/​C unit. You do the math…
Left pizza boxes, garbage on the job site. Broke a fixture, never replaced it. Put in fixtures upside down.
Sloppy, slow and $$$$$$!!

Recommended an unusual solution that he was unfamiliar with. Had to reschedule the work due to his misunderstanding the product. The city inspector had never seen such a thing and it took several days to get signed off, during which time I wondered if I had spent $ 2K on junk. The inspector had him come back out and fix a minor issue. Seemed too expensive for half a days work and some metal and wire. Fitment not that great.
