After doing a float at another location, I was hooked. I saw Float Bellevue pop up on Groupon, and decided to buy one for myself and another for my boyfriend. We were easily able to schedule appointments, didn’t have to book too far out. Our appointments were for 5:30pm on a Saturday night. The place isn’t too easy to find, as there isn’t like a big sign or anything out front. It’s like in an apartment complex, kinda weird. It’s across the street from the Bellevue Library. There is a parking garage located below/behind the complex. I can’t remember the guys name(sorry), but the guy that greeted us upon arrival was very nice. Checking in was an easy process. The waiting area is decent sized, one couch to lounge on before/after floating. They have some supplements for sale across from the front desk. The lobby area had such a relaxing smell… I love the smell of these places, reminds me of the ocean cause of all the salt. There are 4 rooms with pods. Each room also has a rain shower. They provide shampoo, soap, conditioner, vaseline(to put on cuts — salt STINGS), ear plugs, towels and inside of the pod there is a spray bottle with fresh water(salt in your eyes isn’t very pleasant either). The guy from the desk walked us through the before and after process of the floats, and explained different ways to lay, and we were ready to go! So. Relaxing. I suggest being in complete silence and darkness for the best experience. Felt so good afterward, very calm and relaxed. It is totally something worth trying at least once. Can’t wait to do my next one!

A friend recommended that I give this a try and since he was very enthusiastic, I gave it a go. The facility is very minimalistic and very clean. Since part of the point that it is a quiet environment, they do ask that you are quiet in the lobby if people are in the tanks. The tanks(which to me look like some kind of spaceship pods) are pretty big. You have to shower before you get into them so you don’t bring in debris or anything and they have everything you need for that. If you are going to use the earplugs(and I recommend you do), put them in BEFORE you shower or they tend to not stick in properly. Then you float, then you shower again when you’re done. I know a lot of people find it very relaxing and therapeutic, but it took me a while to settle down and zone out in the tank. Maybe it would come more naturally with more floats or maybe my personality just isn’t quite that relaxed, lol. Once I did zone out, the time in the tank went really fast. I do recommend turning out the light in the tank. It can be a smidge disorienting at first, but it helps with the zoning out. The staff(Trevor) was incredibly helpful and explained how everything works since it was my first session.

I really looked forward to my float session with a friend. But unfortunately the hot water heater was broken and I had to take a cold shower afterwards, with freezing water, in the middle of winter to wash off the salt. I wish someone had the foresight to call me to reschedule before my appointment. They offered a free make-up session but I don’t think I will go back. My session also ended 10 minutes too soon. My friend enjoyed it but said she was cold most of the time. At least she had a hot shower.

Finally a place to float in Bellevue! I’ve been floating for a long time and Float Bellevue has it figured out: aesthetically pleasing, private with everything you need. I love floating, relaxing, turning my mind off, recalibrating, and coming out refreshed.

An absolutely euphoric experience. I had never done anything like this before, but with the guidance of the gentleman working there, I felt completely comfortable and at ease. I would absolutely recommend that you give Float Bellevue a try! I will be back again… and again. and again!

I’ve floated at the Seattle location a couple times and tried the new Bellevue location this week. The space is nice, clean, and welcoming. Staff walked me through what to do/expect and answered my questions before and after. I easily found free(2-hour) parking on the street about a block away. I like floating more every time I do it. Will be back!

Such an amazing and relaxing experience! I loved every aspect of this place and will definitely be back. The staff was polite and very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the look of the place, very clean. Also the free parking was a huge plus. After my float I felt so relaxed and weightless. Floating is definitely something I will make a habit of!

The last time I was in Seattle, I floated at Float Seattle, sister spa to Bellevue. I had a chance to see Float Bellevue under construction through the windows but trying out the new location would have to wait for my next trek west. So as soon as I got back to the Seattle area I knew I wanted the chance to de-stress from the red-eye flight, and I did. Float Bellevue is amazing, relaxed atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, beautiful equipment — cool pods and showering area. Everything is clean and calm and quiet — perfect for escaping from the real world for an hour. The moment I walked in the door and saw the moss wall and the subtle lighting I could feel my body starting to relax. It still amazes me that the salt water targets my aches and pains — how does it know it’s the right ankle and left knee? I could feel the minerals going right to work to help out my over taxed joints! I’ll be back in September and you can bet I’ll be back in a pod after the coast to coast trip. For those of you lucky to live near Float Bellevue, I hope you take advantage of it. A true oasis for rejuvenating the body and mind! We need a Float Portsmouth, NH, please!

Just finished my first float at Float Bellevue and I am so relaxed. I have floated a couple of times at Float Seattle and this place is a classy addition to the experience. It’s minimalist like the Seattle location, but in a different way. Similar theme, but fits Bellevue better. The new float pods are so cool. It’s all the same when you’re laying in the dark, but waking in and seeing a beautiful glowing float pod is where the relaxation begins. The staff person was great, facilities are clean, the experience was top-notch. Another customer was getting out of another float room as I was getting out of mine and we agreed that this was a great float experience. Complete darkness, complete silence, fully floating, fully relaxed.

After floating half a dozen times in their Seattle location, I learned that they were exploring opening an eastside location. Today I floated in their new location in Bellevue and I am very excited to have them so close to home and work. I’ve floated in five different facilities in the Seattle area over the last 20 years and Float Seattle, and now Float Bellevue, are truly outstanding. The facilities are excellent, but the people are what make the most difference to me. All of the staff I’ve met have a genuine passion for floating and have seemed sincerely interested in making sure I had the best experience possible. Their customer service is outstanding and I’ve never felt pressured or like I’m being sold to, the way I have at other facilities. The owner Sean strikes me as a person of great integrity and it shows in the team he’s put together and the quality of his business.
