Expedient Towncar

For the past 3 years i’ve been taking this car service to the airport. Everytime it has been a great experience. UNTIL this past ride. It was Feb 10^th, a rainy early morning. I looked out my window and did not see the car at the sceduled time, so i called and the person who answered verified with the driver prior to me calling that he was on his way. The person who answered when i called told me he would call him again and then call me. He called me back and stated that he was outside. I grabbed my suitcase and my bag went outside and NO CAR. I then proceeded to call when my suitcase got away from me and slid down my driveway in the rain. I still continued to call when the towncar drove up. He got out and said «I was here then i left.» The ride was ok. When we got to the airport he gave himself a 20% tip ($ 55+11). It was early and i just wanted out of the car. I got the receipt to sign and still there was a space to add more of a tip. THE NERVE OF HIM. I will never use this service again.

Awful first impression — assumed I needed a taxi not a limo and pulled bad attitude with me.

Used them a couple weeks ago from SeaTac to Bellevue — reliable, reasonable and recommended

Guess I can save people some research… Seattle airport to Pier 66: 10 person van is $ 100 plus 20% gratuity. Doesn’t it ring some bells to hear gratuity tacked on sometimes? Why not just include it in the overall price? Customers don’t like to hear it. It makes us wonder things — like is your service not good enough to get gratuity or do you think you sound cheaper because you have two separate prices that have to be added together?

Had the notion to run the math on town cars vs. SeaTac lot for 5 days + expensing mileage, and discovered it was slightly cheaper get a ride. (Don’t do shuttle as time (s) I tried it Ballard was first pickup/​last drop on Seattle route and driver scared me worse than Boston cabbies ;-).
Made reservation over phone rather than online because of review about site errors, and did have to catch dispatcher before he disconnected to include return flight reservation, but never confirmed any of it and all went well. Was $ 55 flat rate from Ballard + tip – which was auto-​included and that sometimes bugs me but I was a happy camper and my early-​departure/​travel-​exhausted brain appreciated the math help.
Driver actually arrived early for pick-​up, though didn’t ring bell, so be sure to peek out door.
On return procedure is to call with the baggage claim door you’re walking through. However, my return flight was early, which they didn’t seem to get an alert on from airline tables so I had to wait a couple (but don’t think it was past what an on-​time + baggage arrival would have been). Next time I’d probably do a heads-​up/​confirmation call from the jetway regardless of arrival time. Also a quieter environment to let them know what I’m wearing and hear the car color than under the looping speakers at the curb when I’m calling with the door # for actual pickup (airport police were zero tolerance on any vehicle waiting).
Drivers were polite, town cars were of course more comfy and less aromatic than cabs. And the ability to be a zombie at 9pm Pacific after getting up at 6am Eastern and traveling – all on top of 4+ days of pushing myself while eating and sleeping poorly – rather than having to pull together my last dregs of energy to drive home safely, makes me want to echo a MasterCard commercial.

Placed an order online and received multiple errors yet a Thank you for placing a reservation. Called and left message looking for confirmation number. Thankfully I did because they didn’t have anything on file. We would’ve been waiting around at 3am to be taken to the airport! I said no thanks and went with another vendor with a more reliable online booking system.

I am really happy that I found Expedient Towncar. I’ve used them twice — they have been reliable and friendly. They are even nice on the phone, which seems to be a rarity in the towncar/​taxi industry (in my experience anyway). They also have online reservations, which I always find to be a bonus.
The trip from our house (Northeast Seattle) to SeaTac was $ 50 plus $ 10 tip.
The only thing I will say is that if you call them for an early morning flight, they might be waiting for you but not ring your doorbell. The first time we used them we had a 6am flight and were waiting for them around 4am wondering where they were, but didn’t realize they were already at our house but didn’t want to disturb us. Perhaps they would have rung the doorbell if it was getting too late.

An extremely efficient, reliable town car service. Nice, plush rides that will pick your ass up at 3:45am with no worries. $ 55 flat from the ‘llard and they do take cards.
A little heavy on the cologne. but hey. who doesn’t love an Aqua Velva Man?

We used Expedient over Thanksgiving and had a terrific experience (which is hard to say when you have to be picked up in the wee hours of the morning for an early train). Phone numbers worked fine and all arrangements were made quickly and easily.
Once we got on our train, Chris was afraid he hadn’t tipped our driver and he called them a couple days into our vacation. They assured us that the driver had indeed been tipped, and we were all set. That’s a pretty honest response when they could have easily said, «Hey, you must be right…»
Trip home was easy as pie. We would definitely use them again!

The driver was punctual, courteous, friendly and professional. We had no access to a cell phone yet everything was done with ease. Excellent service!
I do agree, the guy on the phone sounds gruff but he remembered us when we called again 4 days later. That was good.

Can I give 0 stars? I opted for a towncar to the airport because it’s a great price for getting 2 people there in anything better than a shuttle. We loved the idea of having a reserved pick-​up time and just not having to worry about it.
Then came the moment of truth — the pick-​up time. It came and went with no car. For about 5 minutes, we were a little relieved because we were not quite ready. At 10 minutes, I started to worry and checked my phone for a message and my e-​mail for the confirmation of our reservation. At 15 minutes, I called to find out where our car was.
The guy on the phone was indeed gruff, did not apologize for the fact that his driver was late or that they didn’t call me, and couldn’t even tell me where the car was or when it would arrive. Instead, he said he’d check and call me back. Almost 10 minutes later, he called back and said that the driver had «some kind of problem» getting there. He could get another car to us, but it would be another 15 minutes.
At this point, we’re 35 minutes past our reserved pick-​up time and exactly 2 hours before our departure on an international flight. So, we told our gruff guy to forget it, canceled our reservations in both directions, printed out a coupon from
, and drove ourselves to the airport.
In the end, the parking cost more, but only because we were gone for 2 full weeks. For a week-​long trip, parking near the airport would be the same price or less. Regardless of the cost, Expedient Towncar did not deliver on time when time was perhaps the most crucial aspect of the promised service.
