Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue

Through the 2016 school year a few things stood out to be serious milestones or game changers in my family. One of those game changers has been the Boys & Girls Club, in particular, the club hosting at Richard Bennett Elementry, and even more specifically, Bennett’s Site Director, Shannon Kestner.
Shannon has been a liaison between my son, his teacher & special programs. On countless occasions she has gone way beyond my personal expectations as an after-​school program’s director and educator (and I do mean countless) to bridge the gap between my son and his education.
See, I only have my kids half of the time, so ensuring that they get consistency 100% of the time is a really big deal to me.
Shannon, her team at Bennett, and the Boys & Girls club of Bellevue have my endorsement & gratitude.

My kids go there everyday after school, and they love it! Often they refuse to come home when we try to pick them up. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and my boys finish their homework there before they come home. Great place for kids to socialize. Totally recommend for any parents who are looking for after school programs for their kids.

My girls have been going to the School Days Out and Summer programs at BGC Bellevue for years, such a great alternative for working parents when school is out. They always have great activities and field trips and my kids love the staff! I highly recommend!

My son has been attending Boys and Girls Club in Bellevue for 4 years now after school and has also participated in their summer camps. It’s been a great, safe environment for socialization, after-​school physical activity and additional learning for him. I am so appreciative of the staff and the program. It’s been absolutely great for us.

I have been sending my kids to BGC after school care at Bennett Elementary for two years and couldn’t be happier. The staff is amazing — caring, helpful and involved. There are lots of fun choices available so the kids can easily find something to do. They are active every day, and go outside except in rainstorms. Their homework is always complete. Discipline issues are handled quickly and safely and kids are educated to make better choices. I see the program in action each day at pick up, and I am confident my kids are safe, happy and engaged.

What a disappointment they are punishing innocent kids that play football and it was the parents that were fighting. this hit radio, TV and internet news nationally. Looks like they care more about their sponsors then the kids. The adults who were fighting should be punished at this football game.

1957 Founder of the Judo program by Sensei Kenji Yamada, 8^th dan black belt. He has taught many students of the years. Sensei Yamada retired in 2005, and his son Harold, 5^th dan black belt. Is continuing the judo program. These are the same hours and day, Friday nights 6 pm– 8 pm.

This is the review for Boys and Girls Preschool in Bellevue. My elder son went to this preschool for 2 years and absolutely loved it. All the teachers here are warm, concerned, experienced and the most important, love children. They are really involved and passionate about their work. I even noticed that when the kids go outside in the playarea the teachers are actually involved instead of chatting on the phone as in some other preschools I experienced. This is a play based school which works on themes. My son learned a ton from the various art projects which were based on the themes of the week. They incorporate music, drama, dancing, and field trips which helps in overall personality development of the child. My 3 year old twins too have started their preschool here. I highly recommend it.
