Wednesdays Phở are the best. There is a big section of salad bar for who prefers healthier food and the salad are really good. The pizzas are mediocre but huge and I assume it is acceptable for college students. I was a bit hesitant to eat here at first but now a regular. There is plenty of protein bars, fruits and desserts are really good.

They are taxing so much! Yet so many students choose to eat here for the sake of convenience. BC can do so much better… this is a low blow.

For a school this size the cafeteria is very inadequate. The food is highly processed and not high quality. The pizzas are terrible. There are very few, if any healthy options. This salad bar is minimal with only broccoli and tomatoes as their organic options. There is a small freezer area with gluten free options that are so crazy expensive. There aren’t many Unilocal reviews but from what I see, this has been going on since at least 2007. Clearly BC is more interested in making money than providing decent food. The one good thing is the people who work there seem very nice.

lol I think it’s funny that BC Cafeteria has a Unilocal page hahaha anyways. Clearly I love the location of the cafeteria. It’s right downstairs from where my office is, so I never have to travel too far. The cafeteria does have its downsides, though. I feel that they don’t have enough variety, and most of the food isn’t that healthy. I know that college students are more tempted to eat pizza, fries, and chips, but you could at least offer more healthy options outside of the salad bar… The salad bar, by the way, is incredibly expensive but usually what I’m forced to get if I’m trying to stay good! All of the food here is pretty pricey — that is helpful, however, when it comes to the $ 2 minimum charge on credit/debit cards. The people who work here are always nice too, which I appreciate. Overall, I think our cafeteria just needs to revamp it’s food offerings and maybe reconsider some prices. P. S. the fries are amazing…

This cafeteria is overpriced, and has such a shortage of healthy or tasty options that it is hard to believe it is located in the PNW and not middle-of-nowhere midwest(it reminds me of my HS cafeteria in rural Illinois… but at least that was cheap) There are practically no vegetarian options either, excepting two things: the vegetable soup(which I’m pretty sure has been the same vat being added to slowly every day, as no one ever wants to eat it) and the salad bar(which is full of iceberg lettuce). There are so many times when I’m starving and looking for food, and sadly walk around the cafeteria for 5 minutes before deciding that either I’m not hungry or I’ll settle with a bagel that I don’t really want. The one good thing I’ve found are the breakfast sandwiches from the grill. Thank goodness for that egg sandwich with American cheese and undertoasted english muffin. Unfortunately I work at BC, and sometimes it’s hard to avoid eating at the cafeteria.

It’s obviously been awhile since someone has reviewed this. For a college cafeteria I would say that it meets standard expectations. I’m usually here in the morning. While standard things like the pizza bagels, donuts, and other packaged goods are as good as anywhere else, the breakfast sandwiches from the grill are pretty tasty too. My favorite lunch choice is the grilled cheese with French fries. The sandwich is tasty and the fries are okay as long as they are fresh. Everything is a little steep on the prices but that is a given and the people are always friendly. In the eating area the tables are usually clean or full of people studying. Also there are plenty of recycle, garbage(landfill), and compost combination bins around. With charts of where certain materials go. The classrooms have both garbage and recycling. Not the best place to eat if you are a diet freak. But not a bad meal for the busy college life. It doesn’t usually smell horrible. It can be a good place to people watch, considering it gets busy at times.

ughhh… disgusting…and overly pricy… the food is fattening and always dripping with grease, the employees are rude, and the prices are outrageous

BCC had a lot going for it, but one thing I definitely don’t miss is the cafeteria. Even people who are far from health food freaks notice that there are few options which haven’t been deep fried, drizzled in grease, cooked in beef fat, etc. If food is wildly fattening, that ought to mean that it tastes delicious. Not so in this case — you feel like you just ate a gut bomb for no reason. I can only speak firsthand of the vegetarian choices, which included things like a grilled cheese made with white bread. The bread got drenched in butter until it turned bright yellow and a single slice of american cheese formed the contents. That should be tasty enough… instead, greasy and disgusting. The salad bar features weak, limp lettuce that looks days old and dressings with enough calories that you’re better off eating a hamburger. Except I doubt the hamburgers are worth the effort either. ‘Sushi’ is offered — it has fake crab and looks/tastes as if it’s been sitting around unrefrigerated for days. Donuts and bagels that roll up into a lard ball when you squeeze them slightly(or on other days were hard as rocks). All the food is packaged in styrofoam and other wildly environmentally destructive materials that must be thrown away, and there is no recycling readily available on BCC’s campus. Each classroom had only a trash can, so people threw all their paper, aluminum cans, plastic, etc. in with the trash.

BCC Cafeteria part 2: The Cafeteria Strikes Back Once again, I was busy so I had to go to the cafeteria to get my lunch. Today they had a choice between salisbury steak and an omlet. When I walked in, they were moving the salisbury steak from one metal container to another and I saw this drippy, meaty, snot looking makes me want to puke«gravy» at the bottom of the said pan. My instincts told me to go with the omlet, so I did. An omlet is not that hard to make, it’s easy, healthy, good! So i said, «one omlet please with the works» The girl who was probably working there as a work study student said, «ok» and proceeded to make my omlet. Little did I know that she could not make an omlet. When you make an omlet, you have to let the egg cook for a little bit, turn it over and then add the vegetables. This girl, did not know the concept, so she added the vegetables ANDTHECHEESE in the beginning and tried to flip the egg over. it wasn’t very successful. the cheese got stuck and the omlet became a burnt cheese scrambled egg fiasco.(and there were still some uncooked parts) i told her that i’ll just have the sour cream and forego the omlet. if a spoonful of sour cream tastes better then the omlet itself, then wouldn’t taht suggest that the omlet was really really really bad? I’m starting to wonder if I should have eaten the salisbury steak! Sheesh! SOOO i had to have bagel with cream cheese… again. DAMN! oh yeah, and to add, there was a girl who wasn’t wearing any shoes or socks walking around in the cafeteria. gross. someone should puke on her feet
