Batteries Plus

You’ve all been in this situation if you are one of the lucky ones with FIOS in Seattle.
4 years go by, then you hear it again, the beep. The small beep that signifies your FIOS backup battery needs to be replaced. You bolt out to the garage, open it the case and take the battery out.
BEEP the box goes and your better half groans as it will beep every 15 minutes all night.
The morning comes, you wake up and drive to the nearest Batteries Plus. This place is located off 148^th and NE 20^th and has a small side parking lot. It opens bright and early at 8:00 am and has helpful staff. Show them your battery, they’ll find a replacement and change the leads for you.
FIOS batteries run about $ 30 by the way.
This place has made my house peaceful once again. It is truly worth the five stars that a happy house brings.

I have gone back to these guys again and again. The last time was for a last-​minute generator repair and once again, the man behind the counter was not only a savant on a wide variety of topics, he had a professional knowledge of electricity and circuitry. I really like coming here and like other reviewers, I make excuses to come here when I could buy my batteries anywhere else.

I look for reasons to come in here to buy. Staff is so knowledgable.
I’ll chose here hands down over any other retailer.
Other Batteries Plus locations are great, but this one is my favorite.

I visited this store for one reason… to buy batteries I couldn’t find at other electronics stores. Two employees were helping two customers when I entered so I browsed the small store myself while waiting for one of them to finish. Unable to find the batteries I needed, I began to search on Amazon while one customer (who had completed his purchase) continued his conversation with the employee and other customers entered the store.
Finally the long-​winded gentleman said he would let him (the employee) «get to a paying customer.» I looked up expectantly only to find another customer who had entered after me be helped by the employee in question. That was enough for me, so I left without having an employee even recognize me during the 7 – 8 minutes I was there. A simple, «we’ll be right with you, sir» would have been an average expectation.

The manager is a really great young guy who’s willing to change your car battery, even in the rain. Get their $ 10 off coupon. I got a good battery and free install for less money than O’Reilly’s.

Well I wont go into WHY I needed this store — but they sold me a battery for an iphone 5 that I installed and was having issues with.
I thought the battery might be the issue or the installer (me)
They stepped up and made everything right including finding a potential issue (connector corroded from water damage) putting in a new battery AND did it all super quick
My phone has been trouble free ever since and I am very thankful for this store, the employees and the product the sell. — You might find cheaper if you really try, but you wont find service or an easy fix if you have an issue
These guys (and gals, to be fair a woman installed the new battery and found the corrosion) earned my business and I will use them as needed every time!
VERY VERY VERY VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER

My car wouldn’t start last night after I visited the Money Tree that’s two doors down, and the employee here was nice enough to come out to give me a jump. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, even after several tries. He also let me know there was a strong gas smell coming from the engine and that the car was probably not safe to drive, even if it could get running. I asked if it was okay to leave the car there until I could get it towed, and he said that wouldn’t be a problem. Very helpful!

All I have to say is I may have been had. My car key/​alarm button combo gradually stopped working and assumed it was the battery. I decided to come to this place because I knew they would have the particular battery I needed. There was only one person working there at that time, with no other customers but myself. I showed him the key and told him the battery needed to be replaced. He told me he knew exactly what battery I need and asked for the key and headed to the back room and said he was going to change it for me. I thought he was going to go grab the battery and bring it back but instead he disappeared and seemingly changed the battery in the back. When he came back, he handed the key back to me and proceeded to ring me up. After I paid for the battery, I left and tested the key with the alarm — it worked fine.
So less than two months later, I noticed the key alarm button began to gradually stop working and now it doesn’t work at all. This battery should have still been in new condition, for the price I paid. You can draw your own conclusions from there.
All I advise for you is if you are in a situation like mine, where your device’s battery can be replace in-​store, make sure the employee does it in front of you. Watch him/​her unpack the new battery and insert it into the device with your own eyeballs. I made the mistake by trusting this person disappearing with my device, out of view — unseen. It just seems odd to me. The battery shouldn’t be used up less that two months later. Like I said. Buyer beware.

After my lack of service at the Factoria location, I decided to give this north Bellevue location a try. There were 3 people working and I was promptly acknowledged. The person helping me even called out another employee to assist a customer with a question.
My battery was identified and replaced very quickly with a smile. Three bucks. And they did the dirty work of opening the garage door opener and putting in the new battery, saving my manicure from chipping. :)
I’d definitely go back here for specialized battery & bulb needs.

Helpful and competitively priced with a hard to find back up battery for our home alarm system. Recycled our old battery free. They carry loads of light bulbs too.
