I had a great time with Gotz Lowe Duo who is always amazing! It’s definitely my favorite relaxing jazz place in east side. I love bake’s place. Unfortunately, My experience tonight was just OK… because appetizer and entrée came almost same time. I was still eating my bread and broccoli. And boom here came my entrée. My entrée was pasta, so my pasta was little bit cold when I finished appetizer… so I felt like we were rushed. I asked to refill hot water for tea, but it took him awhile to bring me a new pot. There were two big groups at restaurant, and it seemed pretty busy as rainy Wednesday night. He has never introduced himself or menu, he straight came to take order as soon as we sat on the table. And he threw desert menu on the table when he thought we were finishing up our meal. I just didn’t feel like he was professional enough for bake’s place, especially we were spending almost $ 100. I would love to come back, even though I don’t wanna be served by same waiter.

Took my beautiful lady to Bakes Place Saturday night, January 30th. Sat at the best table in the place, table 24, and enjoyed the AWESOME music of Darelle Holden and 313 Soul. They were amazing! My partner and I had a smile on our face the whole night. I had their burger and it was delicious. Our server was courteous and attentive the entire night. One of the owners, Laura, went out of her way to accommodate our seating requests which I appreciated. This is an owner operated business and they work their business. They are totally hands on. You can see they are working hard to provide a great experience. They have succeeded. Thank you for providing a great, professional venue with wonderful live music. The experience every time I go there is unparalleled. Btw, I have no financial interest in this business. I am just a patron who has been here many times and felt that I just had to write a review.

Finally was able to make it in. Stopped by on half a dozen random occasions but the space was always booked for private events. Not this time though, I found a spot at the bar and started to review the beverage list. Some nice selections, overall a very enjoyable experience. The live music was a nice touch as well, not overpowering, but rather a nice addition to the ambiance.

I took my girlfriend here for date night recently. The main reason I chose to take her here was the fact that they had live blues show performances on weekends. To my surprise, everything at Bake’s place was superb. I had made 7:30 reservations week prior and got seated as quickly as we arrived. We had happy hour at a place before(because Bake’s doesn’t have happy hour.) So, we ordered 2 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine, with blue berry pudding and ice cream that we split. The cocktails and desert were delicious. The service was very prompt. The staff was friendly and professional. Furthermore, the ambiance was very romantic. It definitely is a great place to take your special other to enjoy a night on the town. Overall, a very good experience for me.

Went here recently with a friend. I was unaware of it. Not normally a place I would go. Just not my usual environment. Food isn’t cheap, but not insane either. I was expecting it to be expensive based on location and it looked somewhat upscale. Prices range from about $ 10 to over $ 30. I wasn’t listening to the live music so I can’t comment. It was very low key though. Something like lounge jazz. Waitress was pretty friendly and giving the sales pitch. No matter what we asked about, every answer was«it is great». I kind of expected that though. I’ve never met anybody in sales who didn’t speak highly of absolutely everything. She was attentive, checked on us a few times, refilled water regularly, and overall, did a real good job. We were not high maintenance though. Not sure if I will go back. My experience was pretty good overall.

One word describes this place; PERFECT! We were given a gift card to this restaurant, I had never heard of it, so before coming in, I took a quick look at the website. The first thing that impressed me was the menu. It clearly labeled vegetarian and gluten free entrees. I’m a vegetarian, my husband is not. Seeing that I had real entrée options, not just side dishes, and my husband could still have a steak was a HUGE bonus to us! We arrived at 5:30 on a Thursday night and were greeted and seated immediately. The atmosphere is gorgeous, ambient lighting, soft colors, it instantly started relaxing me after a crazy, high stress day at work. The food was AMAZING, but I must say, my favorite part of the whole experience was our server Tanya. She was on top of everything like you’d expect from a high end establishment, but her mannerisms are so charming. We ordered another drink and she said«I’ll get that right up for you love» with a gentle pat to my back made me feel like we were old friends and I was at home. She was attentive without hovering. The live music just completed the relaxing, comforting atmosphere. It wasn’t distracting or overdone, it was just perfect. Another point I want to mention, the owner checked in on us. I have pink and purple hair, my husband was in jeans and a hat. We were afraid we’d feel out of place here, but quite the contrary, I’ve never felt more at home. This is one of those places where you can happily hang out for hours. I’m hard to impress, but I am impressed. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

Great place. A hidden gem. Very big screen tv to watch the game. Good drinks. I ordered steak which is pretty good. Truffle fries are tasty. The overall mood here is nice dark jazzy place. The food is good but bit over priced. I will be back to listen to some jazz.

Disappointed as I was super excited to come try it out after work. No music till late on Fridays doesn’t help us after work crowd looking to grab a few drinks. The calamari was gross and only one person enjoyed the pork sliders. Drinks were good and strong. May come back but only to drink and only if others suggest it, otherwise I’ll take my clients elsewhere.

Meant to come many times – never made it– til a fave entertainer from my past appeared here. Mike Murphy was so fun, love him(first saw him at Tar & Feathers in San Francisco– 1972!!!). SO entertaining, thrilled to see him again! $ 20 cover charge on a Monday night– place was jamming & sold out. I thought that was an expensive fee for a 1−½ hour show. Club is beautiful, comfy, big windows and a super nice outdoor patio(large!!). However, there are stairs to navigate(hard for me w/my arthritis) and the bathroom is in another zip code! A plus– parking was free and easy. The food – ?? expensive, portions are small… come for Happy Hour instead or come just for entertainment, not to eat. My hubs had the bacon burger… really good, great onion rings with it. I had Carbonara pasta– small portion, and just«okay». Couple next to us was not thrilled with their chicken and some kind of meat entrees. Hubs tried a super great cocktail– a gin + vodka martini with Lillet and lemon… so good, but strong! I stuck to Mac & Jacks on tap. Ordered coffee after dinner– wow, not very good. How can any place in our area not have great coffee? Wait staff were very nice, did a fantastic job. Overall a great evening, just cost more than we had anticipated. But for Mike Murphy– worth it to me!!!

It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been here and going tonight for a Latin music show performance by a coworker. The last time it was a local singer called Stacey Jones and the venue was acoustically perfect. Food was awesome from what I remember but I don’t recall what I ordered. I’ll update this after tonight’s show. 5 star for previous visit ! Update: Bake’s place still rocks. Great acoustics and now they have an outside bar(fair weather of course)

As T.I. says, «I don’t want no mediocre.» I came here Friday night and ordered the Manilla Clams. I consulted my server before placing my order and she assured me that the clams were going to be better than the $ 25 grilled prawn and marscapone polenta dish that I was also considering. I gladly accepted her recommendation. Sadly, these clams did not deliver. They were overcooked and extra salty. The crostinis offered on the side were bland and hardly toasted. Beyond the mediocrity of my dish the cocktails were ridiculously over-priced. A $ 14 cocktail? A $ 14 cocktail that’s uninteresting and lacks complex flavor? My dinner companion shrugged her shoulders and said«Meh, Bellevue cocktail pricing is expensive.» My final thoughts: mediocre and over-priced.

We had a very disappointing experience here tonight. As nearby residents of Bellevue, we wanted to check out a new restaurant close to home on our date night. After perusing the Unilocal reviews, we decided to check it out. We started out with a few small plates including the orange & fennel salad. When the server brought out the salad, I noticed that it was no fennel but just arugula. I tasted it to make sure that it was arugula(it was). I then questioned my own knowledge of the greens and had to google an image just to confirm. I was right. I called over the server and asked her that this is not the salad I ordered because I ordered the orange & fennel. The server acts confused and tells me that she’ll check with the kitchen. When she returns, rather than apologizing and saying that that was a mistake and that they will fix it or the like, she says: oh, this is a mix salad of fennel and arugula. I was pretty irritated by then. I picked up the salad plate and asked her to point out where the fennel was as there was only arugula in the salad plate. She then returns to check with the kitchen. Returns and says, oh we will make you another one. This is not the type of treatment I expect from a place with 4 stars Unilocal review and 3 $$$. Very disappointing. We didn’t end up ordering dinner. Paid for the drinks/small plates and left. We didn’t appreciate the disrespect that the kitchen is showing its customers by substituting a major ingredient and not even bother to inform(or perhaps ask??) the customers if that’d be acceptable. More importantly, we didn’t appreciate the fact that there was really no apology and only lying about the menu. The menu fully details what ingredients make up the salad; there was no «arugula» in that orange & fennel salad. I am not impressed.

Wow! A great hidden gem in downtown Bellevue! I’ve heard about this place before, in fact one of my gf was trying to get me to go here years ago, but our plans always fell through. I managed to finally visit this place last Friday with a few of my boys for a night cap and to enjoy some live music. Since it was a warm summer night, we opted to sit on the patio. We observed an older crowd, and it was pointed out to us, by the local guy in the group(he lives across the street), that was the norm. But it seems everyone was there just to just chill. It was relaxing and refreshing to have cold drinks on such a hot night. We also ordered calamari, but that left much to be desired, to me it wasn’t quite cooked enough(still mushy). So about Bake’s Place, the inside had a few booths and tables, and a bar/lounge area. The stage was front and center. The band was playing more Blues than Jazz that night, but it was still pretty cool. Our server said they rotate the bands that play here, so I would check their calendar. There were some people dancing, but it didn’t seem there was a designated area for dancing. The restrooms are up the stairs(which could be an issue if you’ve had 1 too many…). Outside had a bar as well, and tables throughout the patio and a life size Jenga puzzle, too!!! There is also complementary parking in the garage. Bake’s Place in Bellevue is cool place to have some drinks and enjoy some live music.

Let me start by saying the service was excellent, the music was incredible, but the food was not good. They redeem a couple stars for their strengths. I ordered the burger with bacon and onion rings on the side. The burger was decent, but the bacon had these large slivers of inedible hardness in them. The bun was nothing special – decent texture, but no flavor to speak of. The onion rings were the breadcrumbed kind you get in a hospital cafeteria. My wife ordered the risotto with chicken. The chicken was just a small slab of chicken they threw on top. That’ll be $ 7 extra, please. The chicken was overcooked in some parts and undercooked in others. Likely prepared from a frozen state. The risotto was bland, no notable spices in it and was thin, as though it were undercooked, had chunks of cheese in it, and had balsamic around it, which it seems someone probably heard makes things fancy. Another friend ordered it before we could warn her. Neither of them finished more than ½ of it. I wish we had sent it back after the first couple bites.

Came back here for my dad’s birthday. Music was great, they had a giant Jenga set outside; perfect summer dinner feel. Everyone’s food was delicious except for mine. The vegetable risotto was underwhelming(needed more seasoning); the rice was not cooked long enough to be called a risotto(more like overcooked rice and not creamy). But the TRUFFLEFRIES were divine– the potato inside had a lovely creamy texture and a very crispy outside. So food was decent… but omg… like I mentioned in my last review, the service was so spotty. There weren’t many people around the patio(no one was inside) and yet it took so long to get our orders, our drinks(maybe 20 min wait?), our food, our bill. it was driving me nuts! The waitress seemed unprofessional and had forgotten an order and still didn’t get it right after asking –______-# So overall, this place might be worth coming back to if the service gets a tune up or if you don’t care about waiting around.

Decent, if overpriced, food. Happy hour is the time to visit so you score some semblance of a deal. But my favorite part about Bake’s Place is the patio on a sunny day. It’s a hidden gem; you often forget you’re in downtown Bellevue. And thumbs up on the free validated parking under the building after 4p — makes it easy if your office isn’t in walking distance.

This place is extremely expensive and good luck finding the bathroom I suggest the Jalapeño martini The music was feel good soul and its dark its a good place for a break up or a good place to take a date Whos not as attractive as you wanted them to be. «blind date» the outside deck is it’s best feature however don’t eat the calamari here awful and lack luster sauce eat something else my dirty gray goose martini was 17 $

I guess this place has been in business for 2 years. Never even heard of it until I did a quick Unilocal search for happy hour. It’s pretty nice inside and a lot of patio seating. No free parking in the building until after 4pm(as in enter after 4). That’s crazy. This is downtown Bellevue! Should be free when dining anywhere! I got a Moscow mule. It was ok. Also tried the mu shu duck sliders. One order has 2 sliders. Not amazing. Too much bread. Also had the clams. Just alright. Prices aren’t too cheap especially since it was supposed to be happy hour rates. See picture of hh menu. Just ok food, but if you want to sit outside then this is a good spot.

I came here for happy hour with a few friends after work and we all really enjoyed it! It was warm and sunny out, so it was awesome dining on the patio… with live music too! As for the food, it was good. We ordered most of the happy hour menu items — truffle fries, smoked wings, mac & cheesy, brussels sprouts, and a few different sliders. My friend also recommended the burger off the regular dinner menu so we shared that too. The bun was a little dry for my liking, but I guess it’s better than soggy and falling apart. The meat was seasoned and cooked really juicy though, which is what matters to me more. Overall, Bake’s has good service and food. I’ll be back in the upcoming months for more relaxing, outdoor dining! TIPS: — Validated parking is available in the parking garage right under the restaurant. — Don’t get the smoked chicken wings. they’re not so good. There should be a difference between smoked and burnt, right? Also, it’s spicy. Not a complaint of mine, but a few of my friends weren’t expecting that. — Service is on the slower side, so make sure you don’t have somewhere to be right after. Take time to enjoy your meal and the music!
