Meow, I like this place…
I am not an easy kitty to get along with and I do not like strangers. Dr. Sodhi and his team are patient and sweet with me every time.
They remain gentle with me even tho I claw and growl at times.
And the best part… They use natural products to treat my asthma so I no longer have to use an albuterol inhaler everyday!!!

I wanted to love this office. The two stars is just because of his expertise.
The initial exam was $ 125 and Dr. Sodhi did not even do a full exam to really figure out what was going on with my dog and her overall health and Naturopathic medicine believes that everything is connected, so this would have been an essential step… and for that cost, I want a full exam. I also brought x-​rays and a report from a radiologist of her spine and he was very curt and told me they were of no use to him. Dr. Sodhi is very knowledgeable and is the only Vet of his kind around here which is upsetting because he has HORRID BEDSIDE MANNER!!! Our pets are our children, he needs to use TLC, if he did, I would still be taking Lilly to see him. Unfortunately, he made me nervous and made my dog nervous. Such a shame!
He did two chiropractic adjustments for her and they were $ 50 each.
My dog is suffering from loss of full function in her hing legs, she now walks as though she is drunk. I have taken her to two vets, Dr. Sodhi, a Neurologist and am now considering an Acupuncturist. It seems that the fluid in some of her discs in her back have leaked out and caused a disconnect for the spine when the brain is telling the legs how and when to move.

I adopted my 9 year old dog in February and brought her in to this veterinary clinic for her first check up. The staff was so friendly and down to earth. I just went in again today to get my dog’s nails trimmed. They were so long when I got her and after countless failed attempts to trim them myself, I had to give up and let the pro do it. Dr. Sodhi recommended using a dremel since sometimes the «crunch» when clipping can be painful on such long nails. My dog of course tried squirming with all her might (she is 45 lbs and quite strong) but luckily with the help of my boyfriend (bring a big strong person with you for this… it will help!) Dr. Sodhi was able to get her nails down to a much better length. He is a pro with that dremel!
Dr. Sodhi was so patient and sweet to my dog, and despite the huge struggle my dog put up, he maintained a professional and kind composure. I will definitely be back yet again for any vet needs in the future. The whole staff here that I have met are so nice and like another Unilocaler said, there are no hidden fees. My main reason for returning is the staff though. Dr. Sodhi is just wonderful! I would highly recommend their clinic to anyone who is looking for a caring, dedicated, and trustworthy group.

I have been taking my pug to Dr. Sodhi for 13 years– he is AWESOME!
The first vet I took my pug to (NW Veterinary Hospital for a well puppy checkup) told me that my pug had luxating patella on both hind legs and that as she grew to be an adult I would have spend $ 2000 per knee and recommended I take the dog back to the breeder. I was devastated since I was already attached to the dog. Another pug owner recommended Dr. Sodhi and he immediately eased my concerns– stating that he had seen many dogs grow out of the condition. He was right!
Dr. Sodhi truly cares for animals and his blend of holistic + traditional medicine has been the perfect answer to all my dog’s health issues. We drive over from Seattle to see him and I have always found his rates to be fair and reasonable.

Dr. Raja Velu is the other vet at this clinic. My first impression of him and the center was that this was the best choice of vets to take my pet to and they did do a good job — in the beginning. However, he offered to do a surgery for $ 700 after many specialists quoted us $ 3000. The choice was made to try for the surgery at $ 700 instead of putting my pet to sleep. When I saw the bill, they had charged us over $ 1200! $ 500 over the quoted surgery costs. This has put us in a financial strain and they will do nothing about it. Their communication is terrible. We were sent home with no instructions, no paperwork, nothing. My pet died a week later due to their lack of communication. I would not take my pet there for surgery or any other major services. If you do, get all quotes in writing, make sure they provide you with clear documentation and instructions as to how to care for your pet. My pet would be alive today and perhaps paying the $ 500 extra wouldn’t be such a blow.

Absolutely wonderful! The staff is amazingly warm and inviting. Dr. Sodhi was great with our pups and i found him to be very upfront about what they needed. Once finished I went to pay the bill and there were NO hidden charges as what I typically find at other establishments. They are a bit pricier than others but worth the few extra bucks! I highly recommend them!

I recently had my cat seen by vets at Animal Wellness. There were a few things that I found troubling:
1. An overemphasis on the money (I was asked to include my social security number on the intake form. Each visit, I was asked to sign that I would pay.) I have never experienced this before– at a vets or my own physicians.
2. We were charged $ 25.00 for what would have been a courtesy at any other vets– a 5 minute demonstration of giving an injection
3. The vet did not have expertise with the situation we were presented with and inappropriately speculated out loud abut his concerns, which i found unnecessarily alarming. Thankfully, he was incorrect.
The good news is that we have taken our cat elsewhere, and he is doing very well.

I took my senior Great Dane to Dr. Sodhi in an attempt to add a more holistic approach to her health care. At almost 11 years old, I was hoping acupuncture would allow me to reduce her pain meds. After spending over $ 1,000 on twice weekly acupuncture in less than two months that did NOTHING to help my dog, I eventually took her to a local ER vet for x-​rays. Dr. Sodhi looked at the x-​rays during her following acupuncture appointment and told me he didn’t see anything, but that we’d wait for the radiology report to come back. That was on a Friday, on Saturday the ER vet called with the results stating she had bone cancer. When I called AWC to find out what Dr. Sodhi thought I should do next since they too had gotten the report back, the receptionist gave me a bunch of attitude and said Dr. Sodhi was on vacation for the next week. You would think he would have told me prior to that considering we were waiting to find out if my dog had cancer but there was no mention he was going to be gone during our appointment the day before. I never heard from AWC again after he said he didn’t think she had cancer nor did I call them. Thankfully I trusted my instinct and got the x-​ray despite Dr. Sodhi’s opinion that it was just a soft tissue injury, if I had listened to him she’d still be lying there getting acupucture while dying of bone cancer on no pain meds (she was only on pain meds because I insisted).
The only recommendation about AWC I’d give is to stay away, as family and friends that I once recommended him to are now doing. Once I did my research I learned that any good holistic vet will try something new when acupuncture doesn’t work after several sessions, they won’t continue to collect your money twice a week for two months when your dog isn’t responding. I now feel horrible that I allowed Dr. Sodhi to put needles in her shoulder while she was suffering and since I’ve stopped taking her there she’s doing MUCH better and is responding well to treatment, no thanks to AWC.

I am so happy that I found AWC a few years ago. My cat receives his check ups and shots here– and just yesterday I brought him in for a suspected UTI (poor guy does have one). My interactions with all the AWC staff have always left me feeling taken care of and confident in their services. They explain EVERYTHING and I really appreciate that. When I picked up my cat yesterday he was happy and didnt seem frazzled (even though I was!) at all just reinforcing my feelings that they really care about the animals and are doing a work of love.
