All Star Lake Spa

I’ve just started going here for massage. Have tried 2 massage therapists and both have been fantastic. Very easy online booking as well.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the spa. The lake outside, the warmth in the building, and the staff. Rebecca, the esthetician, was very nice and knowledgable about her practice and products.

I’ve been coming to All Star for nearly two years now and Teri is the absolute BEST!!! She’s very sweet and provides the most amazing massages. Don’t be deceived by her small frame, she applies firm pressure if you like it (which I love) and can really work out the kinks. I’ve also seen Starla, Alex and Theresa and they are all wonderful, but Teri’s my girl! Thank you!

I’ll make this clear: I only come here because of one particular massage therapist, Alex. She is wonderful and the only reason I come to All Star. Other than that, this place is just bizarre. Customer service is seemingly non-​existent with the other employees/​owner, and some of the other massage therapists I’ve tried out are just unpleasant and unhelpful.

I’ve never been to a spa, or have ever had a massage before, outside of having one from my wife. (But I can hardly count my wife’s massage a «massage», as she’s too weak and rather inexperienced doing massages to my liking. I’m a bit bashful having a stranger touching my body, so I was incredibly apprehensive doing this, but HAD to do something, as my lower back was in severe pain, and getting Chiropractic done, wasn’t helping as much as I would’ve hoped for. That being said my wife made me the appt, and so I went in and bit the bullet, so to speak. (And SO glad I did)
So, keep in mind my massage appt was for a ‘medical massage’, and not a traditional spa-​type experience. Walking in, I was a bit surprised that this place was a spa, and since I wasn’t expecting that, I just looked around and took it all in and signed in at the front desk. The wait wasn’t long at all, in fact I was called up withing minutes of my arrival. Starla was my masseuse, and warmly welcomed me. She was very inviting and gentle.

Fast fwd to the room where my massage was to be given and everything was very clean, orderly, no strange smells or dirty carpets, or anything like that. I was very happy that everything seemed to be in order. I laid down as instructed, and she started with my treatment.
Let me say… this was the best thing I could’ve done for myself EVER. I injured myself from a horrible accident and my back (Upper and Lower) was killing me. Although my back pain isn’t gone (I’ve only had one treatment thus far, but planning on going for many more) she was able to take a lot of the knots and make my back muscles feel a lot more liquid and fluid. I wasn’t feeling like I was an 80 yr old man, trapped in my 38 yr old body anymore. This really was a fantastic experience.
I’m very happy I bit the bullet and came in for my massage appt. The people there are very welcoming. The office itself is very clean (from floors to counters). The office is situated in the Bellevue Lakes, and in fact the back opens up to it as to make a very calm experience looking out on it. The fees are incredibly reasonable. I never do these kinds of reviews unless I feel they are truly deserving, but this place really and truly is a very well run place.

**THIS REVIEW IS FOR NAIL/​MANICURE SERVICES ONLY** I have not experienced the massages and therapeutic services All Star offers. Those services may be better than what I experienced.
I try not to rate places 1 star, and the only reason I am giving a 2 star for this review was the Bellevue location.
First, I chose to go to All Star because I was given a gift certificate by a resident for $ 50. I had a Monday off and my Shellac badly needed to be re-​done, so instead of going to my usual place in Redmond, I made an appointment at All Star. I spoke to a nice woman on the phone and although she was nice and helpful, she seemed a little confused. It was around 10am so maybe they were just opening? Anyway, made the appointment for noon.
I get in (and its a little hard to find, not any signage that I can see, but at the back of the circle after Crab Pot) and the display shelves with products are cluttered at the bottom with empty storage boxes, purses, and just in general looks in disarray. The carpet seems old and it just looks a bit… drab? Not terrible, just not what I would expect for a «spa». I am led back to the back room and sat in a chair. The balcony overlooks Lake Bellevue so it looks relaxing. However, the room is left open and the rest of the staff is hanging out in the hallway, coming in during my service asking for things they cant find, chatting and cussing the whole time. Tried to ignore it.
The polishes are brought into the room in what looks like an overnight bag (as if the spa doesn’t have its own set but that these belong to the manicurist herself). The selection of polish is all big colors. No neutrals unless you want to go for clear. So I ask for a French tip. Easy and classic. I get the woman painting the tip on with the white polish and NOT cleaning up the lines. Even when I try to politely hint by saying (So do you take a paint brush and clean up the lines at the end?”, she says, «nope.» and I just sit back and let it happen. I opted for the «Spa Manicure» which consists of a hand scrub, hand massage and a paraffin wax. The scrub was not washed off my hands but «wiped» off with a moist towel leaving bits and pieces of the exfoliant under my nails (which were jagged as hell underneath after the manicure). The paraffin wax was nice and soothing. My hands did feel soft after but I spent so much time picking the crap out from under my nails that I really didn’t notice until later.
The manicure itself was awful. The total was $ 55 so I used my gift certificate and paid the other $ 5 out of pocket. I didn’t have the heart to tell the woman how bad the job was, even after she told me she had been doing nails for 15 years. I left and drove straight to my normal little Vietnamese place and had them completely redone. So I ended up paying for something that should have been free, had it been done correctly the first time.
I won’t go back. I hate to be mean, truly, but I expect WAY more anywhere. Let alone in the middle of high class Bellevue. Again, their massage therapy services may be a ton better, but unfortunately after showing my co-​workers the results, they have shredded their gift certificates. I guess the spa won’t mind since they were pre-​paid though. Anyway, that is my two cents.

My girlfriend and I decided to come here for a girls day spa treatment! It was a decision well-​made the staff is wonderful! With reasonably priced treatments you can afford to do a package! I highly recommend the moisturizing body wrap! After having one my skin was so soft for an entire week! We look forward to coming back here again.
