Friendly service in a casual atmosphere. My party ordered the t bone steak, chicken melt, and some mozzarella sticks. Everything was served rather quickly and each quite tasty. Good service and good food at a low price! We will be back. Thanks!

I’ll admit that the food and salad bar blew me away! They have excellent food for a diner. Pretty quick service and super down home. The tables are a little close together and checkout can run into the salad bar and front door, but the overall experience was wonderful! I’ll totally be back for more comfort food. PS. It’s super chill and a little dusty, but it gets the job done at a low cost!

We came here on a Sunday after church and it appeared so did many others. It was very busy. They were able to find us a table. I had the strawberry waffles and a banana pie to go(I was pregnant). The food was average. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. I really try to eat at local places, but I was not impressed.

Not that I need an excuse. but since I was in the area and everyone keeps talking about how good the fried chicken is… Why not try it? Well, I am glad we did! My ½ a Chicken was seasoned just right, so right in fact… I did not ask for hot sauce. The Fettuccine w/bacon and Texas Toast was pretty good for a diner. Okay… now let’s discuss the dinner rolls: some of the best I have had in a while. Each Meal came with endless Modest Salad Bar and Soup!!!(Drum Roll Please) Meal for Two was $ 19.05. See ya again soon Main St. Café!!! #stlmetrofoodie

Quick service, a full salad bar included with each meal, and a large menu. I’ve been here several times, and everyone is always friendly, the food is always great, and most of all, the menu choices are all very affordable :-)

Soooo, I use to give this place 5 stars. It has dropped considerably due to the fact, the owner has changed, well so did the food. The past 2 visits was horrible. Cheeseburger was raw, also BLT was lacking the B!!! The BEST part. I hope they pick it up, and I can make my way back soon. Prices are still great, just not the food no more

Eat here! Oh my gosh. I don’t know where to begin! Ok, well first not everything is great. The cole slaw tasted like mayo and the Mac and cheese(although homemade) didn’t meet my standards. That being said, you don’t need to even eat that stuff because there’s one thing on the menu that should be ordered and that’s it. No other food required! The fried chicken is the best! The dinner portion for $ 8.50 is four pieces! It’s huge. If you go for lunch between 11 – 4, you can get 2 pieces, a side, and the salad bar for $ 6.50. That’s all you need to know: go for the fried chicken and there’s bread pudding at the salad bar for when you have a teeny bit of room and can’t eat a whole piece of cake or something from their selection! This place is beyond inexpensive for quality food. If you try something and don’t love it, I’m certain you will find something else! The service is great. I skipped out on lunch at The Four Seasons today to eat here. I don’t regret it! Go for the chicken and leave the happiest camper! For family style food, this place tops the list. Yum!

Has a coupon .from the 2015 Entertainment Book(which they will not honor, by the way) an my husband likes to try new things. So… here we go… we get inside and the same server, who tells us she won’t honor the coupon when we checked out is there for the beginning of our stay. She tells us to find a seat we like and she’ll be right behind us. We did and she was. She gave us menus and then our server, a delightful young lady with very red hair came to take our order. My husband ordered the porksteak and I ordered the catfish. Both came with a veg and salad bar. Salad bar had soup. Soup was pretty good. Salad bar had fresh items on it, but were overly large pieces(eggs, tomatoe, etc). But the freshness SORTOF made for it. When the food arrived… WOW. My husband ordered a porksteak. I should have said half a pig. It was covered in BBQ sauce but was so tender and was smoked and didn’t need the sauce. It didn’t need it. It was delicious. As was my catfish. I ordered it fried. It we light and crispy. The best I’d had in a while Many people were talking to each other from table to table to table. I even made friends with 2 ladies who come there several times per week. They also recommended the fried chicken Nd the breakfast which they say is $ 2.99 and HUGE. The drive thru was full. Even without honoring the coupon, my husband and I ate, got full, had leftovers for the next day, all for less than $ 20. I cannot complain. Why would I? We will be back.

I was surprised how good it was. Didn’t look so impressive on the outside but the price was cheap and the food was yummy. I liked how they didn’t salt heavily on everything. I am so glad we found a local breakfast place we can go to on the weekends finally.

Love this place. It’s the typical American diner. Very tiny and super old school but the food taste just like home. They give huge portions. They’re fast and friendly. The T-Bone and American fries are A+. One thing I don’t like is when you ask for scramble with cheese they put the slices on top(kind of weird to me) instead of folding the cheese in while cooking, but hey I’m sure its just me. Of course my roll dawg aka my fiancé got his taste of breakfast magic. He ordered the meat lovers omelette and pecan buttermilk pancakes, which was good. I’ll speak for him because I’m always eating off his plate… always! Oh and they also serve lunch, and dinner. I come mainly for breakfast but I’m sure the other time settings are just as great.

This is the diner that was the old Kaeffers restaurant. It is a little dated on the interior. It is a dive. The TVs are loud and annoying. At any time half the crowd is transfixed. All Kinds of alcohol pictures/advertising on the walls makes one wonder if the have a liquor license at one time or another. Breakfast is their forte: 1. Get pancakes as entrée and not a side. They are remarkably different in color, taste, and consistency. It is the strangest thing. I have experienced this on 2 separate occasions. The smaller pancakes were not as good. This is especially important for kids, as they serve the smaller pancakes for children meals. 2. I like the Godfather breakfast. It is like my own personal breakfast buffet. Truth be known I only eat about ½ of it. But it only costs $ 6 – 7. 3. The omelets are big and good. You can’t go wrong with any of them. 4. They have awesome pronounceable diner coffee. Order it you will like it! I usually do not order the lunch or dinner menu. If I do I stay close to blue plate specials and have not been disappointed. Other notable things I like from here: They have a nice salad bar, with home made croutons. They can be greasy at times but they are frequently awesome. The green bean with garlic is very good as a side and reminds me of mom’s. Nothing really special beyond nostalgia. They have home made Thousand islands salad dressing that is the bomb. Goulash soup is frequently on the salad bar and is well worth a try. It is magical take a try of everything I hate put in a soup and it is delicious.

It’s a small café in a mid western small town. If one cares for simplicity, fair prices, home style, and large portions then you have found your destination. This nice little place has gone through transfomation and consistent improvements over the last several years. They have hit their stride and continue on the path of success. The latest additions appear to be updating the inside and outside décor, drive thru capabilities and a small outdoor dining area which is awesome on a beautiful 72 degree, blue sky, low humidity day like today. It is said those who strive to satisfy their customers will succeed in their endeavors.

Portions were big for the price… but quality was matched for the price. It’s what you’d expect for a $ 5 diner breakfast meal– greasy goodness. However, looking around at tables by me– none of the meat in that place looked like MEAT except for the bacon, sausage links, and sausage patties(which, speaking of, get patties over links because the links were loooooow quality as the patties were formed from actual sausage). Would go back if in area and wanting breakfast as there’s nothing else really close… but wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again.

Hands down, great little restaurant! The food was great, the service was excellent, the price point was a relief, and it didnt take half an hour to be served. I’ve been here several times, and haven’t had a different experience yet. Please try it if you haven’t, it’ll surprise you.

I honestly can say the only good thing about this place is their breakfast, and I guess you can make it on breakfast alone. I cannot eat a thing off their salad bar, as after the second time of getting violently ill, to the point of remembering my symptoms and feelings to the«T,» I’ve never ventured back towards that thing. The servers are always very nice and good at their jobs, so that’s a plus, but other than that – the fried chicken has been overdone every time, and the burgers are frozen, pre-formed patties with a bunch of filler. I’m done going to this place and it’s right down from my house. Unless it’s for breakfast, I’ll pass.

This trip was not a good one. Food was cold, corn was spoiled. Fish was under cooked. Felt sorry for our server. Manager or owner never came out. So sad, I think I’m sticking to breakfast if I ever come back. Very dissapointed.

This place has an AMAZING $ 2.99 breakfast with drink purchase. It is the Main Street breakfast and you get two eggs, two bacon two sausage, and 2 pancakes or 2 french toast or ½ order of biscuits and gravy. They have some other amazing breakfast deals for less than $ 5. They also have an all u can eat menu such as chicken tenders, fried chicken etc with salad bar for less than $ 7.99. Ask for Othel he can recite everything from the menu from memory, will not make you wait long and will not disappoint you, we have asked for him time and time again and have never had bad service. This is a great place to bring a whole family especially if your on a budget. It is getting busier on weekends sometimes there is a wait.
