I like it. For price and what u get its good food. Stop complaining folks. It’s not a five star restaurant. It’s good and cheap Chinese food.

I wanted to return this and the guy started giving me a hard time telling me the chicken was good and that nobody had complained. Then I asked him to send me another one and he just kept on saying the same thing. He had the nerve to put me on hold several times telling me it’s busy when all I wanted was another chicken and rice. Then he comes out with a story that he gave me a chicken last time… News to me because this is the first time I ever eat from this place. That’s not all then he tells me to come get it and bring him the other order, when I already paid the delivery. Never ever ordering from here again!!! First and last!!!

A family favorite. This is our go-to for chinese take out. My cousins love their chicken and broccoli, and i really like the young chow fried rice. I find the former a little too salty.

I’m aggravated… I ordered from this place last week and when you order more than $ 20 you get a free can of soda or two depending on the amount spent. Last week I called them and informed them that they didn’t send the sodas; they told us please call on your next order and we will send it to you. Today I spent $ 35 and I asked for my free soda of last week and my free dumplings because there’s a coupon now(they have coupons now in there new menu) and they deny my free soda… Ridiculous, unprofessional, and do not live up to their word :-(

This place is so horrible I’d give it 0 stars if possible. How can a Chinese food place not be able to accomplish a dish as basic as chicken and broccoli. China star should have it on their menu has chicken and oil cause that’s all that in it. Never ordering from here again!

Very good service and food. Your food tastes fresh and appetizing. I usually dread Chinese take-out and this was not my first choice but I was pleased at every bite. The chicken was tasty and not old tasting like a lot of Chinese restaurants tend have.

Best Chinese around here… chicken is fantastic. .not gummy .or fatty. .just perfect. They messed up my order but quickly fixed it. Great flavors that completely beats any other ive had. You can taste all the unique spices… not just basic brown sauce. My new go to place

best chinese take out I’ve ever had. it’s our family’s favorite when we don’t feel like cooking and want take out. I gave it four out of five because although the chicken and broccoli is my favorite/used to be my favorite… I’m not a fan of the chicken anymore, the texture and taste is weird. shrimp and broccoli is great, and the sauce is just delicious.

Great food!!! Have been ordered food from here for years. Love the general Tso’ chicken. And my boyfriend always add chicken wings each time we order.

i ordered from here probably a year ago… i specifically recall ordering the chicken with asparagus because i love asparagus and you rarely see it on a Chinese menu. I will say this: the food was delicious, but the three baby roaches running around the bottom of the bag insured that i won’t order from the again. in fairness, i’m sure most restaurants have their share of creepy crawlies, but in the BAG with my FOOD? Not cool.

If you know good Chinese food you would definitely enjoy getting it from china star. I was honestly surprised when I found out that they deliver to my town, from then on I decided to keep ordering from this place… Everything is great… Boneless spare ribs have the right amount of sauce and they aren’t dry, the beef and broccoli isn’t over dosed in salt like most places make it. I enjoy china star, it’s one of the best Chinese around the area!

It is below average. They try to pass off yellow Mexican rice as fried rice just cuz they put little chunks of pork in it. And that’s all that the fried rice is… I won’t order from here again. Generals chicken was crappy too

Just moved to Belleville and was looking for a local Chinese spot to order from. Came across this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Delivery was fast and it was nice to have someone on the phone taking orders that I didn’t have to repeat myself a million times too. The food came fast. Since hubby and I were just moving into the new apartment we didn’t have forks. We looking in the bag to make sure there were forks and noticed that there were none. Hubby flagged down the delivery boy and asked where the forks are and his response was«you gotta call them». Hubby asked if he could just bring back forks since the place is literally down the street and he said no because he had 3 other deliveries. Whatever. So I call the joint up and ask if we can get forks. I was informed by the VERY pleasant *insert sarcastic eye roll* gentleman on the phone that they don’t give out forks with dinner. I informed him that I wasn’t aware of that since I have always gotten forks with my Chinese food whether I order for Dinner, breakfast or any meal in between. He was very argumentative and I was hungry so I told him forget it. Hubster ended up going to a local convenience store and picking up a box of plastic forks. Although the customer service was appalling, I was willing to put that aside because the food was hot and delicious. What I am not able to forgive us getting to the end of my meal and getting ready to put a LONGSTRAIGHTHAIRINMYMOUTH(Neither me or hubby have straight hair). Anybody that knows me knows that hair in my food is the one thing that will make me violently sick when eating a meal. I would rather eat a bug in my food than find a hair. Completely disgusting and I’m getting nauseas even as I write this. EATATYOUROWNRISK. Never again.

Awful customer service… I called a few months ago(yes, I’ve been slacking on Unilocal,*bows head in shame*), and the guy who picked up was rude, impatient, and didn’t speak English very well. The food: — Steamed dumplings — edible, but the skin had been overcooked to the point where it is mushy — boneless bbq pork — absolutely awful, it was dry, tough, and tastes like it has been sitting under a heat lamp all day — the fried snow peas are actually not badly made, but I was told that they would charge me an extra $ 0.50 if I wanted a container full of snow peas instead of a mix of snow peas and broccoli — the pork fried rice that came with the boneless pork… eh, flavorless but not inedible. It was really the awful attitude that annoyed me. New Man Hing is a much better(and consistent) option in my opinion.

Soooo… I’ve been eating here for quite some time now because the food was better than most Chinese take outs in this area; and because I live very close to it and always order my food for pick up. Tonight: we asked for 1 small order of steamed chicken and string beans and a large order of steamed shrimp and brocolli. I should have known something wasn’t right: 7 people were working at the counter(including one Spanisih guy who looked like a tourist in his own backyard); another 2 people were working the stoves; and 0 people bothered to blink the first time I asked for my order. I should have known that if the customer service was this bad, the food wouldn’t be that much better tonight. All I can say is: I’m glad I ordered the steamed shrimp and brocolli… because Jimmy just went all Linda Blair with his reenactment of The Exorcist a la chicken and string beans 10 minutes after eating it. At least my stomach of steel is JUST now starting to feel weird… guess who just lost two regulars!!! Confuscious say: Man who eat«Chinese» take-out, go: Meeeooowwww!!! :-X

It’s weird to even say you’re a fan of ANY local Chinese restaurant, considering the bad rap they get usually. This place is actually still skeevy looking, they speak just enough English and the delivery guy has extremely long pinky nails. The good thing is that their chicken and broccoli has some deliciously addictive sauce on it and their broccoli stays nice and crisp, unlike in most places where it’s clearly frozen brocoli. They have good boneless spare ribs, I recommend the boneless ones over the ones with bone in them. You get a HUGE serving. Their shrimp friend rice and pork fried rice tastes nice and fresh each time as well. They take credit cards over the phone, which is a HUGE plus for someone like me that never has cash and their delivery doesn’t take forever. I’m deducting a star because they have messed up my order a handful of times, their lo mein is overly greasey and I was very disappointed with their cheese wontons. Also if you order over $ 10 you can get a free soda, soup or egg roll, make sure you say what you want, or else they always take the cheap route, don’t ask and just throw in a random soda.

Really good food here. I cannot guarantee that you will like it also. But I can guarantee they will screw some part of your order up! Try the Miso Hawney!

Best food in town. Try the General Tso’s Chicken or the fried dumplings. I know people that live next to Chinese restaurants that insist on ordering here instead.
