Cute place. Went here with my mom for breakfast and it was tasty. The chef was so sweet and puts love into the food. He really cared about what we thought and even gave us a free desert to go ! Nice place I’ll support it

Came here with my wife for a quick bite and a coffee before a Saturday morning run, met Judy at the register who was super friendly and nice. I was in no rush and I really enjoyed the ambiance, super clean, nice décor, chill music playing. There was no one else at the time I walked in and Judy told me about all the fresh pastries that were just coming out. I wanted to try a few things so I got the Pan de Bono, a Gauva Pastry, and a Cheese Gordita. We got to chat a little about the business as it was my first time here and I was curious about it. We got a little complimentary custard cup pastry when she brought our warmed food over and it was Dee-lish!(I didn’t want to share with my wife). The Guava pastry was fresh, soft and flaky, plus the Guava filling was like warm jelly. I thought the prices were fair for a small local business. Usually I decide to go to places based on reviews or based on where I see a crowd, but I also like to be adventurous and try new things, and it felt good that it wasn’t super noisy or cramped as more people came in. Definitely a relaxing start of my day. I will definitely come back and consider them for catering next time I need to bring pastries for a brunch or event.

Beautiful building. Very mediocre food and also super expensive. Not worth your hard earned money.

This place seems to have tons of potential, but for right now it’s not my cup of tea. The building is lovely and the onsite parking is great. Its extremely clean inside and you have options to sit in or outside. In my opinion it’s pretty pricey for maybe average bakery items. I stopped in this weekend for coffee and I was in search for a sweet treat for my sweet tooth. The staff was friendly and tried their best to help me. It was weird as they didn’t really know what was in the bakery displays. I had to go treasure hunting for myself and that pretty much killed my sweet tooth. My coffee order was also prepped weird and not made well. Again the employees were awesome regarding customer service, but there was a weird disconnect with them and the bakery. Anywho in the end 2 large coffees and a piece of pie rang up to about $ 9 bucks. It was really $ 8 and change, but the register didn’t have enough money to give me the appropriate change. Maybe I caught them on a off day, so check the reviews and try your luck. I doubt I will return to this location.

Giving it 3 stars only due to cleanliness. Keeping this one short — never again. Cook was nice and comped a desert at end. But… doesn’t and won’t make up for the quality of food. Sorry.

Went because my mom really wanted«tres leche» cake. Omg this tastes like stale bread dipped in condensed milk. The tiramisu and the chocolate brownie were just ok. Salesgirl was nice tho and the inside is beautiful but this place needs a new pastry chef ASAP!

Great business model. Impeccably clean and brand new but not backed up by good food and quality products. Very inefficient and slow service.

The cappuccino side steps others and moves to the front of the line. Pastries are delish, looks like some are made premises and others brought in. They also have a nice lunch offering but the menu doesn’t reflect all that they have. There is ample outdoor seating but I don’t think the space inside is used well there seems to be almost too much. I loved the service but the wait to get your order is a bit long since there is only 1 person working the front both times I have come. Still I’d return, I would just not come if I were pressed for time. But there is wifi so sit and relax if you can.

Boca décor is beautiful inside and out. I have been here a few times I brought pastries, smoothies and espresso. I have to try the panini on my next visit. The staff is very nice and helpful I know it’s their job but it’s not that way at all businesses. I took my wife recently brought her a smoothie she cussed me for not bringing her here early than I did. My daughter swears by Boca I am a fan too. Here’s the thing go often but especially on those hot days of July and dog days of August grab a smoothie you will turn and slap the closest person to you and they will just nod in agreement.

I was so excited to see a new business open up on Washington Ave especially coffee and bakery! The business’ along Washington Abe for some reason don’t do to well. Very nice place inside and looks clean and staff is nice. Although the few times I have been it’s never been the same person working there. They lattes and coffee are good but nothing to different from the norm I was hoping this place was going to be like a New York style coffee house but it hits the spot I have never ordered food from there or eaten baked goods but when I do I will update!

Pros: — Welcoming environment — Greeted nicely by every employee, always suggesting good stuff — Has a variety of drinks hot and cold — steak soup is really good — good parking Cons: — Visited this place a couple of times, but my last visit will be my last one there. I ordered a simple egg and cheese sandwich, took more than 20 minutes to make. — sandwiches take an average of 10 to 15 minutes to make when the store is empty. — Every time I stop by I get charged a different prices — Once was charged by the owner and he didn’t know how to charge so had to turn to his employee for help — Another time I ordered a custard cup and a donut, I wanted them just how they were but the girl working there kept insisting on warming them up. The other time I got a donut it was rock hard. They advertise their products are freshly made each day but I see the same items covered in plastic for weeks. Conclusion: This place is really nice addition for Belleville but the management is really poor.

The first time I went to this place, I ordered a croissant sandwich. I was the only one in there and it took 15+ minutes for them to make my food. As I was standing there trying not to get annoyed, I noticed the woman in the back, who was making my sandwich wasn’t wearing gloves. Her bare hands we all over my eggs, cheese and croissant. She didn’t even wash her hands! The second time I went, I was with my 4 year old and she had to use the bathroom. The only bathroom they had was out of order. When I asked if there was another bathroom, I was given an attitude and a nasty look. OBVIOUSLY, there was not, and shame on me for asking. The ONLY reason I gave this place a third try, was because I was in the area, I wanted a cup of coffee and their parking lot was convenient. I put in my order, and was told that the credit card machine wasn’t working and it is cash only. It would have been nice to know that before I placed my order. What a complete waste of time. The employees look completely clueless and it is ridiculously over priced. It may look pretty but the food and service are aweful. The only reason I have it 2 stars is because it is nice to look at.

Although I saw the negative reviews for this place I still wanted to try it since it’s so close to my house. Unfortunately the reviews I read were spot on accurate. Our coffee and cappuccino were not hot, they didn’t bring us sugar and didn’t provide stirrers! They brought food for 2 of us… my sister was left waiting for her food and 10 – 15 minutes later when she brought it to the servers attention they said they forgot and we’re putting the order now… they didn’t even apologize. We left immediately and vowed not to go there again. I seriously think the owners should rethink who they leave in charge of their business.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty empty but they were stocked up on treats. Ordered a couple of sweets and two smoothies. The pineapple banana smooth was well made and tasted better than the pineapple strawberry. The custard cup was good, the cinnabun was also good once it was warmed up. The chocolate cannoli was average. One thing to note is that as friendly as the cashier girl was, she seemed to be totally lost at what she was selling. I asked about certain sweets and how they were made and she would stumble while trying to explain when it was obvious that she really had no clue. Can’t be good for business when your employee is unable to help your customer decide what to order. They have a few items on their menu appropriate for a quick lunch bite. They also have a private lot so you don’t have to worry about parking on the Avenue and paying the meter. Very clean inside. I enjoyed my Saturday afternoon at Boca Café.

Pros– parking lot on Washington is a great accomplishment and the coffee is very good. Cons– We paid $ 7 for a Cuban sandwich that was mostly bread with only 2 slices of ham, bland pernil and let’s just say it was hard to find pickles. They also took long. I think I might give them another shot in a few months. They might get it together.

I’m going to assume that the people who wrote the below reviews must be the owner or family member because this is the worst and saddest attempt for a quality«café» and«bakery» I have ever seen. I never write reviews on anything in fact this is my first review ever written about a place but I had such a miserable experience that I had to make a Unilocal account and let it be known to anyone thinking about coming to try Boca Café and Bakery. Do not let the modern interior and exterior fool you. It is only to lure customers to come in. First, for a bakery there is not much to choose from it looks like they buy it from somewhere and only bring in a few things. I was there at 11 am there should have been more then what I saw. It was my mother and I and I we ordered a croissant with spinach, ham and cheese which is on the menu, 2 coffees and a guava smoothie. We went up to the counter person, ordered and sat down. My experience started with a loud scream, 2 coffees! I walked up to get the coffee and it was served in a espresso/latte glass(which is the improper glassware for coffee but ok.) The guy says, «uhh can you watch me pour, I don’t know how much you want.» Which I thought was odd, why wouldn’t they let us pour it ourselves or be confident in there skills to pour milk or cream? So he’s dripping milk and cream(my mom got cream and I got milk) drip by drip until I say enough. I bring it to the table and my mother and I take a sip of each of our coffees and both give each other the same disgusted look. Not only was it so light and gross like they must have measured the coffee grind amount wrong in comparison to the water but it was COLD and I don’t mean ice coffee cold I mean like there was nothing keeping the temperature warm while it was probably sitting there for however long. So we go up and tell them the coffee is cold. So the owner warms up the milk in the espresso machine and we try it again. It’s still YUCK! I can totally tell they have no idea how to measure the right amount of grind. It still tasted like water with hint of coffee flavor. This is a café? Shame on you! STRIKEONE Next for the croissant with spinach and ham. I’m wondering what is taking so long so I glance at the counter and notice it was just sitting there near the register for about 5 minutes of what I saw before I got so angry I came up and took it. They didn’t even say anything. They just left it getting cold practicly collecting dust. I saw them walk past it and look at it so many times and talk to each other, bullshit with other customers and never saying anything or perhaps even: gasp: actually think of possibly bringing it to us! It wasnt busy and they had 2 counter people on staff a long with the owner. Someone could have been nice enough to care to bring to us or call outloud(they did for the coffee.) Also, it was so SMALL! I couldn’t believe it. It was practicly the size of my palm. You call that a sandwich? That was four dollars for a pathmark quality croissant down the drain? STRIKETWO Next the guava smoothie. This one was a real JOKE. It tasted like canned guava juice that you get from the Goya isle from your local supermarket that they just blended with shaved ice. In fact, I can bet that’s how they make it. They have the audacity to have a sign that says ALLNATURALSMOOTHIES and that was from anything natural. It went straight to the trash can. Again another 4 dollars given away. STRIKETHREE Lastly, it comes to us having to pay. I walk up to the register where it is the owner attempting to ring me up. This was the saddest part. He had no idea where to find the menu items on the POS(point of sale) system he had. I was there for 10 minutes watching him pathetically trying to find the menu items on the screen. I don’t know how long this place has been open for but there was no excuse for him not knowing how to use his own system and find the items. Thank god I wasn’t on my break at work or I would have been late by his stupidity on not educating himself on his own equipment. STRIKEFOUR The way this place is run is as if no one there has ever worked in the food service industry. I am assuming this guy came from his country with some cash and decided making a bakery/café would be a good way to make money without having any knowledge on how to do so. He spent so much money on making the place look pretty that he totally forgot about training or actually hiring a legitimate baker. It’s also pretty pricey especially for being so bad. There are so many other good bakeries in this area don’t waste your time on this one.

I had the opportunity to be present on the grand opening and I am super glad I did. Yes, I can say this place is a Hidden Gem since many people are not aware of it. Not for long I suppose, after they taste what I did they will be customers forever. The place stands out by its beautiful appearance nearby Belleville’s Middle School. The interior is well crafted and it gives you the feel you are somewhere in Europe. I am sure the menu has other options but I want to talk about two items, and these items specifically: Croissant I get fascinated by the beautiful look of a perfectly baked croissant and the smell of creamy butter. Crispy on the outside and the soft interior slightly resisting my every bit and again the smell of creamy butter. Yes, this Croissant is the best one in Belleville. Pizza(double bread) According to the staff this place does not make pizza but one of their items looks like a pizza and tastes like one. A double crunchy bread with pepperoni and tomato sauce and layers of cheese. It is so beautiful to the eye and yummy to my taste buds. I really recommend this place and the items mentioned above. As an added plus it is BYOB. Enjoy
