Both the atmosphere and food at Rollin Green are GREAT. I always enjoy getting both when in the area. Went on a Friday evening with my son and it was jam packed but the bartender made it her business to make us a priority(really appreciated that). The owner came over to greet us and even gave my son a nerf football. Rollin Green is just one of those spots where you can enjoy good food and good vibes. If you’re in the area definitely stop through I’m sure you’ll like it. P.S. Seen a review that mentioned the feeling of RACISM… I’ll say this«NOTHING about Rollin Green gives off the feeling of RACISM» so stop it. All are WELCOME!!! Service is GREAT.

Posts about this bar being racist are absurd, as a local who hangs out there I have seen all varieties of people walk in and continue to come back. This homely bar makes everyone feel welcome and has great food and drink selection. They do not have any drink menu because all liquor and beer are visible and on display and all the bartenders are open to answer any questions you may have about your selection. This is a bar I’ve been coming to for years and will continue for many more to come.

I attended this bar with some friends a few weeks ago… and approached the counter where a white male who was the bartender asked us rudely what do we want to drink as if he didn’t feel like working or performing his job… my friend then asked if they had a drink menu, he then said we don’t do that here we’re not applebees very sarcastically and rolled his eyes and walked away to the other patrons who were already there and mumbled to them about the question my friend had asked and laughed. He then came back to us about 6 min later and said are you guys getting anything or not… so we ordered basic drinks… after paying him he proceeded to the register and saw him slip some money into his pocket. .not once but twice, don’t know if he’s the owner if he is then he shouldn’t treat paying customers like shit. .but if you’re just an employee then you’re a real crappy bartender who’s just stealing from the owner. we only stayed because we wanted to give this place a try. tried it now over it. .anyway ain’t goin back there again… peace out rather go to applebees.

I have come to this place a many nights and never ever encountered racism. Everyone is very nice and friendly and always received great service. My friend is black and they always treat her with respect. We go to paintnite at the trattoria up the block and then come here for a few drinks. Always nice.

Went there and had horrible service. The bartender seemed like he had the meanest attitude and was pocketing money as well as drinking beer all night. We asked for a menu he said they don’t have a menu. I felt he was racist. I don’t recommend anyone to ever go there.

Would never come back. The bartender seems very racist. Talk to us like we was animals. I also asked for a drink menu, he said they dont have one. How you going to have a bar and no menu.

Seems nice enough on the surface but when you peel back a layer you find this is a bar filled with many closed minded racist and bigoted locals. Two of the nicest fellas you could ever meet come into the bar have a few drinks and are on their merry way. As soon as they walk out the door the«N» word can be heard echoing in every corner of the bar. Had this happened just the once I could chalked it up to just a night when there were a lot of jerks out, but sadly this has happened almost anytime I was at this bar.

Ok this is a situation where the stars are related to the kindness of the staff and the nostalgia of the dive bar. My NY family lives near this Queens pub, my cousin had his first beer here, and we went here recently after a sad family gathering. We ordered every comforting deep-fried thing on the menu, drank beers, told stories, laughed and maybe cried a bit. The bar itself is overly brightly lit in my opinion, but the food was surprisingly good and inexpensive and everyone remembered my family and was so sweet. We’ll all be back again and again.

After our wonderful night out at Trattoria Lucia, we stopped off at this cute neighborhood bar. Had a few drinks and laughs. Bellerose is really a nice place to visit.

Since moving to Bellerose, I’ve been stopping by here with my fiancé, friends and family and have never had a bad time or bad food. Friendly staff, patrons and a very casual and comfortable atmosphere plus good food :)

Came here to find other bars around the area. This place was alright, they didn’t have that much variety of beers. The food though was pretty decent, I had the rueben sandwich and my friend had a hamburger. I do have to mention though that the bar had a strange smell but i could not pinpoint what exactly the smell was, just wasn’t pleasant. I dont think I would come back, since there was nothing spectacular to draw me back in.

I live a few blocks away, so my friends and I come here every once in a while. Drinks are cheap, their food is solid, and lots of friendly regulars. My favorite thing about this Irish pub is that they have Twisted Tea and Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat on tap! ;) And on some nights, they also host a Grateful Dead cover band that attracts a really fun crowd.

I had a party at Rollin Greens. I had only been there a handful of times, but I had eaten there and liked the food and knew the place was well kept. I actually rolled the dice planing on having everyone I knew there for a graduation. I was so pleased with everything that went on. I was in touch with the owner planning the menu and specifics right up to the day of the event. If I didn’t get him on the phone he called me back very quickly. He was also booked the next day so I know he does a lot of catering. He was efficient, made recommendations when I ordered certain things, and he was on top of everything. He made the space available an hour before for decorations, and set up the room exactly how I had requested. The tables already have very nice cloth tablecloths, but adding the decorations really made the room my own. The attention of the bartender and the staff was amazing. They made sure everyone had a drink and was happy. The owner actually showed up himself to make sure I was happy and everything was going well. I had purchased a drink package, and they made sure to ask me if anyone went off it. The food was FANTASTIC. The owner had told me the everyone liked the Sheppard’s Pie so I ordered it, ITWAS A SMASH, everyone still comments about it, there was Chicken Picata that was so tender, it was like butter and Sausage and Peppers that were tasty and spicy. There was also a pasta with broccoli that was hot and garlicy and delicious. EVERYONE at the party commented on the food. It did not taste like over cooked /processed catering food. It was delicious. Plus, it was not just placed out and ignored. The owner and the staff kept checking it. Also, during the event I realized someone was Gluten Free. No problem, the owner quickly had the staff fix her something. The place is very clean, they take good care of it, and it has a side entrance that leads to the room they do the party in, however the party spilled into the bar area, and there was no problem, the locals that were there were extremely friendly and nice. My advice, if you looking for a room to have a nice party in this is an excellent resource. I would high recommend them and use them again, as I was extremely pleased.

Rollin Greens is your typical looking bar with great pub food. The owners pride themselves on the quality of food and drink they serve. The staff is always smiling and interacting with customers there. They’ve cleaned taps because a beer was sent back for being the tiniest of bits off. I highly recommend their sandwiches there. The chicken supreme is one of their best and they will give it to you grilled if you don’t want it fried. For traditional Irish fare, the sheppard’s pie is huge and delish. I have to take a star off because not all of the chairs are study there and sometimes you will shift one way and the stool/chair will feel like it’s about to collapse under you.

Went here the other night to meet a group of friends. Local bar with sub par pub grub. My Oriental Chicken was bone dry. Nothing special.

I’ve been frequenting Rollin Greens for the past 5 months. I am here from Texas, working. There ARE buy backs and the food is well above average. They have all the standard pub favorites, but many other offerings, to please all taste. There is a daily special sheet with some very well prepared and fresh items. Excellent daily soup offerings, too. I didn’t go there for the food, initially, but it definitely kept me coming back. The owner’s, Mike and Roland, are frequently in the pub. They couldn’t be more accommodating and have made an outsider feel like a member of the family. Great neighbor pub for drinks, food, or just a place to feel welcome.

The worst! Not sure what happened in the time we used to live here and now, but this place is NOT the same. Bartenders couldn’t care any less about us, only played cheesy 60s music and the backstreet boys, and no buybacks! What a total disappointment! Never stepping foot in there again!
