Great Cuban sandwich! Friendly wait staff, huge breakfast selection. Something for everyone. Moderately priced.

Everything was just okay. Nothing special and nothing that made me want to finish my entire meal or return for another. They were also sold out of the specials listed on their chalkboard but didn’t tell us until we tried to order it!

Fast service during Sunday brunch and mediocre food. Brought a party of four on Sunday around 10:30 and waited less than the estimated 25 minutes. Service at table was quick and food came quickly too. The hot chocolate was weak — packet with too much water? The coffee was okay; not very tasty but not terrible either. The frozen blueberries and strawberries with the cup of yogurt were disappointing — tasted funny and looked shrunken and unappealing– and left uneaten. The scrambled eggs were warm and the French toast was tasty(4*) but the spongy pancakes were mediocre(3*). Cheap Corn syrup, no maple syrup goodness. The hash brown casserole was tasty but you have to ask for it otherwise you get the plain version. The place had a good vibe. It was filled with people and the staff was smiling. Décor was fun with mural and photos. Bottom line is come for the atmosphere, not the food.

I’m from out of town so when I eat in a place I’m not familiar with I go to Unilocal.I look for four stars or better. I drove almost 15 minutes to get to Maggie Maes. I was looking for a small town breakfast place where locals went. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, just a good breakfast. It looks exactly as I imagined very cute and small and very clean. I did not expect the beautiful view out the back. My table was very clean, there were a lot of condiments on my table including jellies and several different kinds of creamer. Everything was super clean and freshened up. My coffee was delicious! And it came in a big heavy beautiful white coffee mug. If you drink coffee at restaurants, you’ll know what I’m talking about. A lot of white coffee mugs Are dingy looking or they even have lipstick on them. It’s very difficult to clean white coffee mugs. I don’t know how they do it! Whatever they do, it made the coffee really nice. And as I said their coffee tasted really good! It was very fresh! I ordered off of their big menu and I chose what was noted as the staffs choice for breakfast. It was an omelette with four ingredients, customer chooses from the list. I chose onions peppers mushrooms and I asked for half of the amount of cheese and I chose provolone cheese. I declined the Toast that came with it and I asked for the home fries. I was told there is an up charge for that. So be it, no problem While I waited for breakfast I looked out the back window and it’s very beautiful. They have a lovely view and the sun lights up the room but doesn’t shine into it. It’s a perfect scenario. It was a very peaceful few minutes while I waited for my breakfast When my omelette and potatoes or put on the table I noticed that my omelette had a slice of provolone cheese that almost covered the omelette. It had barely melted, in fact, more than 50% of it had not even started to melt and the remainder had started to melt a bit. But it couldn’t melt anymore because unfortunately the eggs were not that hot. This place is small enough and they’re only about four other customer tables being used, my egg should have come out piping hot. Or, I could say they should’ve been much hotter. Even putting them under the heat lamp for one minute to melt the cheese and warm the eggs up would’ve been great. I was very disappointed that my omelette had canned mushrooms in them. If you eat fresh vegetables you know canned mushrooms are fairly tasteless. And I couldn’t do anything with the cheese because it was basically stringy or not melted at all. I just scraped it off the top of my omelette into a ball and left it on the side of my plate The eggs are very tasteless, in fact the entire omelette was tasteless. I came very hungry so I could’ve potentially eaten my entire omelette So I decided to eat the country fries that are mentioned with a lot of enthusiasm. They looked really good. I did try one when the eggs first got there and I found them to be barrly warm. The potatoes were fairly tasteless. Honestly, they had a griddle or grill taste to them. If you look most of my reviews are really high scoring. I look for restaurants that have good reviews and I go to them. And Maggie Maes has good reviews. What I would say to this little diner is you’ve lost your inspiration or your enthusiasm for food. I eat vegetable omelettes out couple of times a month, I don’t recall ever getting canned mushrooms. I know it cuts down on your waste, but it also cuts down on your opportunity for creativity and excitement in the food that you prepare. There really isn’t any reason the food wasn’t piping hot. My omelette should have come out with melted cheese on top. My potatoes should have been hot. Hot food allows the flavor that is there to be more prominent also. I just didn’t find much flavor in this food. I drove a total of 40 minutes out of my way to go to Maggie Maes. Would I do it again? No. I don’t like leaving anything less than five stars, but I didn’t finish my food, and interestingly it was very obvious. More interestingly, no one asked me how my food was, if I enjoyed it, or why I ate very little of my food. That’s what I meant by the servers being a little bit sleepy. I wish you are well Maggie Maes and I hope you find excitement and enthusiasm in your food in the future. You have a beautiful location and a really unique view. And really good coffee!

Always my go-to place for breakfast on Sunday. Just beware. They are busy. Expect a little bit of a wait but it’s worth it. They also have gluten free bread for toast. Great place I’d you’re celiac.

This is a ultra popular breakfast and lunch spot located just before you go over the bridge to the beach. The food here is excellent… expect a great selection of breakfast choices for any appetite. Good Coffee, and incredible pancakes. The restaurant exudes a awesome«good morning» vibe that clearly comes from a «beachy» décor and a incredible group of employees. It feels like your server genuinely cares about you when you order, I could not have been happier with my waitress. I’ll surely ask to sit in her section next time.

First off, did some extensive looking for restaurants to hit on our week long trip to Largo, FL. Maggie Mae’s On The Bluffs came up in my search and was also recommended by our host so we had to give it a try. DIDNOTDISAPPOINT! We went to Maggie Mae’s just before lunch and it was only a few minutes before we were seated, so that was great. Next, we were seated at a nicely sized booth and the cute-as-a-button server, Cortney came along and left us with the best cup of coffee we have had throughout our whole US trip. She is downright adorable and definitely made this stop one of the best; we were very disappointed that she won’t be there when we go back fro lunch tomorrow!!! Booooooo… She very sweetly gave us some recommendations for breakfast and despite the fact that I am not a sweet French toast kinda gal, I was lured by the sweet/salty combo of Crème Brulee french toast and sausage. I have NEVER had anything so darn yummy in my life! I got one mouthful into it and protected it fiercely from the assault of my husband’s fork! No way was I sharing this! They also had a Cap’n Crunch french toast special but I am glad I went with the Crème Brulee instead… so awesome! Indeed, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ended up taking half of my breakfast home with me as a nice treat for later! My hubby had the Big breakfast burrito and it wasn’t a lie… the thing was HUGE! It came with some tasty salsa and what looked like very fresh, homemade pico de gallo. Nom Nom! In fact, every single thing the servers carried by our table was huge and we kept thinking«OOOHHH! We should try that next!» The place is super kitschy and darn cute… lots of funky, funny signage… even in the bathroom. We are going back for lunch tomorrow and I can’t wait to see how yummy some of the other menu items are. The only regret we have is that we didn’t get here until halfway through our trip because I would have my own booth there by the time I left to come home!!! :o) In short, if you’re looking for a great place to have a huge, very yummy meal, breakfast or lunch, then hit Maggie Mae’s On The Bluffs. You will NOT be disappointed!

This place has decent breakfast food and incredibly slow, inattentive service. We went this morning for breakfast before driving back home, and we ended up being there for an hour and a half — not by choice. We called in our way, and they added us to the wait list, which was nice. We only waited 5 minutes for our table once we got there, but we waited another 7 – 10 for our server to greet us and get our drink order. She was very curt and unpleasant, not a great way to start the morning. After she finally came back to take our order, it took another 25 – 30 minutes for our breakfast to make its way to our table. The food was pretty good: an egg white omelet with turkey sausage, a few pancakes, half an avocado eggs Benedict. Our server brought the check fairly soon after we finished eating, but again she took a long time to come back to run the credit card. If you decide to go here, make sure you have plenty of time to dedicate to breakfast. Otherwise, try Venus or First Watch.

We ate at Maggie Mae’s on the Bluffs and weren’t blown away. It was good, but nothing made it stand out above any other place in the area. My biggest struggle in Florida is finding a restaurant that blows my socks off… Most are on par, like Maggie Mae’s. Good solid menu of choices and good food. Expect to wait a bit for a seat on the weekends and during peak season.

This place was really just(average) at Best … Friendly staff and pretty girls everywhere, however the food was really just mediocre at best. Their recipes are what you could easily make at home. Not much proprietary uniqueness to the food, I expected much more

I have been here almost every weekend now since I stumbled upon it. The casual breakfast diner located right before the causeway is a brilliant location to stop before an all day beach adventure. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. Now onto the food. I have been recently introduced to my new favorite, corn beef hash. I have always avoided it because it was some canned dog food fried in a skillet. Maggie Mae’s does it right! Fresh potatoes, thick chunks of corn beef, and a flavor you couldn’t believe. If that’s not your style, the hash brown casserole is an equally as delicious option. I’m not big on spicy foods but my breakfast counter part gets home sick for his Arizona heat. Maggie Mae’s offers brilliant options for you foodies who want steam Rollin out of your ears. The only negative would be the lack luster pancakes. I wasn’t a fan. This is more of a hearty breakfast place!

My son and I had to get some blood work done at the end of this strip and thought we’d try this place for some breakfast. My son has some sever allergies to food so before we were seated and asked if their pancakes had milk in them. The waitress was very nice and said she would ask the cook. When she came back she said that the cook said there was no «milk» in the pancakes. I had been looking at the menu and noticed the pancakes were listed as «buttermilk». When I brought this to her attention she stated, well that’s not«milk». Well yes it is, so either they are lying about having buttermilk pancakes or they have no clue what does and doesn’t constitute milk. Either way we didn’t stay.

This breakfast spot was recommended to us by a 30 yr long resident of the Bellaire area. We are certainly glad we stopped in to give the delicious menu a try. The crème brûlée French Toast was indeed close to perfect as mentioned in other reviews. As a self proclaimed biscuit connoisseur — the biscuits were good but not the best I’ve had, the quest continues… Diner feel, coffee cups kept full at all times, small place, worth the short wait

Excellent service. We did not wait even when it was busy. Cool menu. They will put bananas and peanut butter in their omelets and scrambles. Great prices. A must try on the Clearwater Beach breakfast scene. I had the Maggie’s mess with home fries in the scramble. We dined with Alf, ET, Sinatra, Bat Man and Robin to mention a few looking on. I would give it five stars except the mushrooms in my scramble were canned, not fresh(but the spinach was!) and I asked twice for well done home fries and they were quite the opposite.

«Fresh tasty breakfast» This place is miles ahead of any chsin place. Freshly cooked and ingredients that are a step above other places. Coffe flows from the friendly staff. The grits I had eith my farmers feast were lovely. Cheap well prepared food and nice staff. Add great views to that and you easily hit top score.

As many times as I’ve attempted to enjoy a breakfast at Maggie Mae’s, It’s only happened three times. This place gets jammed especially on a weekend. So I figured I’d try to go on a Friday morning no later than 8:45 am. Yahtzee!!! I’m going to say this right out of the box… Maggie Mae’s has the best breakfast, period. All the waitstaff are warm, friendly, and very efficient. On my visits here I’ve had; The Farmers feast, two fried eggs(any style), home fries, bacon(or ham, sausage, or spam), biscuit and sausage gravy, Hillbilly Taters, country home fries, with onions, eggs, bacon, and sausage cooked together with sausage gravy on it. It comes with a biscuit and gravy too. Eggs Benedict Arnold, two split biscuits with fried eggs, cheese, sausage, and sausage gravy on top(instead of a hollandaise sauce). If you’ve noticed a common thread here, yes I love sausage gravy. Every one of these breakfasts had the creamiest and most flavorful sausage gravy, ever! The menu is extensive. Three egg omelets, four types of Egg Benedict’s, breakfast sandwiches. Three selections of pancakes, buttermilk, blueberry, multigrain. French Toasts, toasted almond, Crème Brûlée, and Bananas Foster. Plus their egg specials. BTW, they also serve up a great lunch menu too. If there can be a negative, it would be the size of the restaurant. It’s on the smaller side. But, this will be remedied very soon with the upcoming expansion into the adjoining unit. Do yourself a favor and check out Maggie Mae’s on the Bluffs for a truly fantastic breakfast. Maggie Mae’s on the Bluffs, is located on West Bay Dr. Just West of Indian Rocks Rd on the North side. It’s in a small strip mall it shares with Bone Fish among others. This along with the other Maggie Mae’s located in the Shoppes of Sand Key strip mall on Gulf Blvd. are family owned. They also own Backwaters, in the same Shoppes of Sand Key. All great restaurants.
