Sam’s in Hillsboro Village was great and I was a regular. Very good food at reasonable prices, good portions, great variety, and a neat«real» feeling to the space. Sorry to see it go, but excited about the new one in Belle Meade. That is until it opened. I have been there for lunch and dinner several times hoping to like it. I think five tries are enough to determine I won’t return. They upped the prices by several dollars, cut the portions, did away with lunch specials, and reduced the menu. The place feels like an 80s fern bar with a bunch of TVs. The other sports bar down the street will get my business as it has what the Hillsboro Village Sam’s had… great food, good variety, specials, and a real atmosphere.

Great food and great service. Chicken nacho appetizer is delicious and huge! Cajun Mahi sandwich is amazing and the chicken tenders are magnificent. Service rocks and Sams is just a great place to be!

Great place to watch a game! Good crowd, lots of TVs, clean, and good food — from nachos to pizzas to healthy entrees. The guacamole is absolutely amazing! I could see coming here just to get that! Portions are good and prices are reasonable. Though alcohol is pretty expensive outside of happy hour. They only have one size beer and it was $ 7.

T worked out the kinks after an absolutely awful experience from the food coming out at separate times to our server being negligent to our needs, honestly he seemed out of it «not in the right mind state» to the point we had to ask him for refills

The new location is well done. I wanted to get out of my house but have a low key dinner. This was the perfect spot. The service was wonderful & my burger was fantastic! I could see myself spending football Sunday here.

No sports bar like this one in Nashville! Upscale yet down to clown for the big game. They have high end flat screens lining the whole joint which can be perfect for a family lunch during game time or a full out guys night fiesta. If your looking to catch multiple games simultaneously, this is your spot. Service is great and food is impeccable. I’m a Bengals fan and have watched my team there many times. Who Dey!

We stopped in Friday night after driving in from Ohio. Had wonderful service from«Mike from Akron» Woot woot My daughter and I had the French Dip … Uhhh delicious. Good mac & cheese ! My hubby and son had the wings and said they were large and very good. Mike gave us good service and was very attentive. Large glasses 22oz maybe? for water and draft beer. Will definitely be back Tons of TVs and good music playing

I just moved and cable is not hooked up yet, so I came here, to a sports bar, to watch the football game. You wouldn’t know that they had just opened, they looked well practiced, and I will say that most of the staff was quite nice and helpful. Unfortunately, our waiter was not one of them. Knowing that we would be occupying a table for the length of the game I did let him know that was the situation. Apparently he was upset that we were not ordering more as he came over mid game and just handed us a bill. We were not done. We then had to hail down other waiters to put in additional orders as he then appeared to ignore us. The food is pretty good, the beers are large, and the tv’s plentiful, so I would say as a sports bar it works. Like I said the majority of the staff was great, unfortunately it happens that one rude server can dampen your experience.

Sports, check, Sam’s, not so much — at least not the same Sam’s in Hillsboro Village. It was like the whole crew from Sportsman’s Grill had moved over a few blocks. Pretentious bartenders and all! Not the place I would want to hang out and watch a game. No food specials, «I think they were just trying to get us open not focus on specials.» Says the bartender… I will try again in a few weeks when the paint and new oven smell is gone too!

First visit to the new location on 10÷19÷15. Very nice build out. We had an excellent view of several TV’s. Looked to only have a couple tables(near front door) that lacked easy views depending on the area of the table one would be sitting. Living within half a mile and being a long time Bread and Co visitor, I have been counting the days for Sams to open. Not to mention that I visited the Village location more times than I can count. My wife and I were very disappointed to find out that our favorite items were not available at this location. For me, it was the cheese sticks. Is cheese sticks to low class for Belle Meade? No they are not, we love our cheese sticks in Belle Meade:). Nothing like ordering 2 – 3 orders during the span of a game with several drinks. For my wife, she was shocked to find out they do not have soup. Yes that is correct, they do not have soup. Their soup at the Village location was always so tasty! I’m sure we will return for dinner or lunch from time to time due to the proximity, but we would be lying if we did not say we were disappointed by some of the popular menu offerings from other locations that are not available here.

Great time here Friday night. This was their first official weekend night since they opened and it was flawless. They really did their homework and made sure it went well. First off, one in our party had dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating considering how busy they were. Her salmon was delicious. I had the French dip. I lived in Philly for 20 years so I am a cheesesteak snob; this sandwich holds its own. Very delicious. Great staff, great service and great food. I can’t wait to go back. This place is going to be around a long time. Congrats to SAMs and good luck in the future!

Welcome to the hood, Sam’s! Dear lord we’ve all been dying for a food establishment since Bread & Co left. Beautiful build out with 20+ tvs. Decent variety of bar fare. We came the first night it opened and had the fish tacos and chicken Caesar wrap. Love the wrap. Tacos were good, but needed a sauce or something. Slaw was pretty tasty. Kids burger was really really good. No hockey puck here. The cookie skillet dessert is really sinful. It is just as good as Bricktops and half the price. They also have a brownie version I want to try next. I feel like there needs to be more variety on the menu. Family friendly, but great late night spot, too. Crazy busy already with the newness and all, but great spot for the west side.

They found the formula for Belle Meade: an upscale sports bar. The salmon and French dip are great. Nice big bar. Tons of big screens, attentive wait staff. They will kill Sportsmans Grill.
