Very helpful ownership making a go of it in an out of the way location. Excellent selection of wine and spirits and easy to stop by from krogers

I stopped by Bell Meade during a recent visit to Nashville. The best way for me to describe my experience is to say that the next time I go to Nashville I will go out of my way to make sure I return to Bell Meade. On my travels, I tend to stop from time to time to see if I can find specific bourbons that may be out locally. At this time of year, I did not expect any great finds because many of the items for which I look have their annual release later in the year so it’s a surprise to find any of them on the shelf. For example, Elmer T Lee is a favorite of mine so it was one that I asked about. Despite the fact that I walked away without Elmer T, I still had a great time. I enjoyed a few tastes at the tasting bar and even better I had a great conversation with Max. He is one of the reasons I will return. I did walk out with a bottle of Tennessee whiskey cream that is not sold locally and there was a bottle on the shelf that I have not seen locally that I need to investigate. As I said I will return and a five star rating from me should say at all.

I judge liquor stores entirely by one section — whiskey. Actually just on bourbon whiskey. I cant comment on Belle Meade’s selection of cognac or grappa or its wines or ports because I just don’t care. Belle Meade Wine & Spirits is a small liquor store in an area dominated by bigger ones. They dont have nearly the shelf space that others do, but instead of just having a random sampling of good and bad, they have a strong mix of good bourbons. Kentucky Gentleman is missing, but EH Taylor seems always to be on the shelf, as an example. As a small shop, they also have a small staff. I’ve been impressed by the whiskey knowledge the staff possesses. They aso have a tasting bar, and if they dont have something I am interested open, they take my email address and let me know when it is. Now thats good service. Price wise, they see to be a bit lower than the guys nearby as well. Not like DISCOUNTWHOLESALELIQUOR — BUYHEREORDIE lower, but a few bucks on just about everything. So if you’re looking for a friendly liquor store with knowledgeable staff, good selection on good booze and good prices, I’d recommend stopping by

I stopped in for the first time last weekend to stock up on wine. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I can assure you that the prices are the best in town for top quality wines. If you like Meiomi Pinot Noir and Caymus Cab, buy them here! Don’t let the lack of reviews turn you away. This is a great place in a great location. I’ll definitely be back!

Last time I came and got a bottle of wine, no one spoke a word to me. There were two workers, one was with a wine rep buying more wine, and the other was on the phone. The one on the phone checked me out. Once the purchase was complete that was it. No thank you, no have a nice day, not even«that’ll be $ 22.79» he just pointed to the screen to show me what I owed. I only go here when it’s convenient. And I try to make that as infrequent as I can.

If there were an award for the most weirdly situated liquor store in Nashville, I think they would win it. I always imagine that it would be the only liquor store standing in the event of a natural disaster or nuclear war. Perhaps that is the real intention of this place. To give you an idea, it’s underneath a parking garage in between a Kroger and a strip mall. I didn’t even know it was there until a few months ago, and I do have radar for a good wine store. The store isn’t bad at all. They have a good selection of wine, and much better prices than Mr. Whisker’s just up the street. If you can find it, check it out.
