I recently transferred to MMA and Dr. Pecora as my previous physician closed his practice. My experience has been nothing but excellent with fast appointments, very short wait time and a thorough office staff. The previous posts are definitely not my experience and I am happy that I found this office.

Worst doctors office ever. Website didn’t work then they told me to reschedule while I was filling out their paperwork. Dr’s and administration were bluntly rude. Thankful I didn’t get medical care.

Today was definitely my last day with Montgomery medical associates. I arrived at my appointment 10 minutes late and on arrival, was refused service. The woman at the front desk for some reason thought the reason I was late was funny and closed the glass door on me. Most unfriendly and unhelpful staff I have by far ever come into contact with. Dr. Abasi would not give me the time of day and told me I would have to reschedule for another day, as she took in another patient that had a later time slot than I had. I have never arrived at this office and had a wait time of less than 30 minutes, which is completely ridiculous that when a patient is running late they refuse service completely. Four eyes behind the counter stared me down the entire time in some attempt to be intimidating, which did not work and only angered me further as I tried to be seen. Did they honestly assume my doctors appointment would be ten minutes in the first place? My family of five all USED to use MMA but after this horrible attempt to accommodate a patients needs, we have all switched over to another practice. Very sad because Dr. Pecora is definitely the best doctor I have ever seen, by far. All in all I have never had a friendly experience with the staff at Montgomery medical who think they’re the cream of the crop when they’re all outdated, unfriendly people.

My family have been patients of Montgomery Medical for a number of years and the reason that we stayed with the practice for so long was for one reason only: Dr. Abessi. She is a wonderful doctor, who makes you feel at home and genuinely cares about her patients. She does take the time to make sure to explain everything to you when you are in the office, and is a truly lovely person. So how could such an amazing doctor get 2 stars? The staff. I have to totally agree with the previous reviewer here. I have had so many encounters with their administrative staff that have been exceedingly unpleasant that they are almost too many to list. *They are some of the most unfriendly people our family has ever come across *They have hold times on the phone that are insane, and very often forget that you are even on the phone *They can not answer a simple question such as is my prescription available, do you know where I can find the message from my doctor. The last question took them 2 days to answer after I talked with 3 people… mind you the office is a tiny house. *My daughter was told incorrect medical information by one of their staff members, who should not be reporting medical information as only the doctor is allowed to do that *There is truly no easy way to get an answer from their doctors. They have a online patient form, but their staff answers, not their doctors. So the answers you get are completely unhelpful. I could go on and on but I wont. The agony and frustration every time we had a question, needed to set up an appointment, or simple things like a referral or prescription became way too much to bear. Ever since we have switched over to Towne Centre Family Care with Dr. Amy Shute life has been great! She as wonderful as a doctor as Dr. Abessi but she has ACTUALLY has an amazing and professional staff! Every question is answered so easily, you have such quick access to doctors, and we no longer are frustrated every time we need a doctor which with two kids is a lot. Final Note: Yes there are good doctors here. But, there are great doctors elsewhere where the practice actually has competent staff to help you and makes your ENTIRE experience positive.
