The consultation is the most important part of any hair service. If your stylist doesn’t act like they’ve got the time to listen to what you want… walk away! I have been to too many salons lately where the stylist does the consultation on the way to the shampoo bowl! I HATE this!
I was so impressed with my experience at Tranquil! I got what I wanted because my stylist, Amy took the time to do a proper consultation. IN THE CHAIR, at her station!!! This was my first hair service at Tranquil and I could kick myself for not coming here (for hair) sooner.
The manicures/​pedicures and waxing services are also A++
Both of my sisters brought their bridal parties here for prenuptial pampering and the entire team was awesome.

Got charged $ 24 for a $ 12 eyebrow wax. It’s not worth the time and effort to go back and mess with them over trying to get my account credited back. I won’t be back here for sure. Too many nail places around to deal with being overcharged. Next!

It’s your run of the mill nail shop. The atmosphere was very impersonal and my manicure wasn’t the best. My nail technician, Van, was very rough when buffing and drilling my nails. I was wincing in pain. The acrylic was lifting from the cuticle and the polish was chipping/​fading within a week’s time. They looked horrible. I’ve had my nails done plenty of times at other nail spas and this has never happened before. Very poor job. Although I live right down the street from this salon, I’d rather make the drive to Harvey or the Eastbank to get a proper acrylic set.

Tranquil is the best! From the superb Stylists, the Enestheticians, ans the manicurists, this place is Heaven on Earth. I am always treated like a queen, in the most relaxing atmosphere. I can go there on a stressful day, and come out, calm, looking and feeling like a million bucks! It is totally worth the drive to Belle Chasse to get pampered by the wonderful staff!

Today I spent 4 hrs at this salon being pampered. My friend and I got the tranquil pedi which left our feet so soft. There was lots of exfoliation followed by warm towels and a foot mask. After which I got my hair colored and cut by Jimmy. He pays so much attention to detail and listened to what I had to say about my hair condition and what look I was trying to achieve. Lastly, I had a wax which was done fast but meticulously. The only way it should be done! My friend had the massage and was very relaxed afterwards. I’m Very impressed with this place and plan on making the drive from uptown new orleans to come to this full service spa. Next time I’m going to try a facial and massage.

Jimmy does an excellent cut. So much attention to detail. Book him early as he is busy. He convinced me to get a pedicure one time and now I drive an hour away to get one at tranquil. Very clean rooms and the staff is an attractive group who offer a very warm welcome. They set up a private room for separate parties. Best experience I have had at a spa– including Ritz Carlton, Beau Rivage, H2O.

I just experienced the best pedicure ever at Tranquil! I had the Tranquil pedi by Alexis… you pay a little bit more but it is totally worth it! My feet are enclosed in four inch heels all day plus it takes a beating from running three miles each day. After my pedi, they are brand new again and softer than a babies butt!

The name says it all. I love going to this tranquil spa every two weeks. Andy and the girls are all great at what they do. The shop is clean, quiet and I am always happy to be there.
They offer a wide array of services, including nails, massages and facials. They also have a full service hair salon.
