This restaurant closed on December 12, 2015. What a shame!

Fantastic from start to finish. Went there for parents’ 50th anniversary. First time there. Was impressed with selection of food; was completely impressed with taste and quality. Nothing we tasted(we share food … try this … try this …) was just so-so or mediocre. EVERYTHING was just incredible. Flavor of everything was rich without being over-bearing. Highly recommend the filet or salmon. Chef Don came out and spoke to us. We’re already planning to go back in early December for Dad’s birthday. Chef even said he’d do special request of fried oysters for him. Incredibly personable and wants to see restaurant succeed. This was a definite five-star dining experience.

Celebrated a birthday tonight! It was a lovely easy drive from Beavercreek. The food was delicious and the live music and cozy inviting dining room made the dinner special. Highly recommended if you are in the Dayton area.

Visiting from Seattle and a friend recommended Zetland for dinner. Started with the scallops and had salmon for a main. Being used to fresh catch scallops and salmon I am always a bit reluctant to order salmon outside the Pacific Norhwest, but it was fresh and prepared perfectly. Scallops were also excellent. The dining room is very comfortable and not loud or noisy, so you can carry conversation at dinner. Love the farm to table concept and had a nice conversation with the chef. Zetland is a real gem.

The service was good, no complaints there. The inside of the restaurant is pretty nice. But the food just wasn’t very good. I got the roasted chicken and my boyfriend got a burger. The chicken was really bland and so were the accompanying side items. My boyfriend ordered his burger cooked medium well and it came out basically raw. I really wanted to like this place, but I likely will not be returning.

Tried this restaurant for the first time last evening. It was a bit of a trek from our home, we had eaten at the former tenant, Amelias(were not impressed) but we love to support local! Zetland Street was a very pleasant surprise. After receiving our friendly greeting, we decided to stop at the bar, so we could watch the horse race. With a friendly bartender and comfortable seating, we decided to eat there as well. Kim(the beautiful owner) stopped by and gave us a warm and genuine welcome. She shared a little piece of history on the restaurant’s name. She also stopped by to see how we enjoyed our dinner. Love to see this hands-on customer service. We munched on sweet potato chips(delicious) and ordered a cheese plate(the blue cheese and jam was an awesome combo), For dinner we ordered a salad and burger; they source a lot of local food for their kitchen and the grass-fed burgers were awesome. The flavor of the meat was about the best I have had. With a good wine choices, excellent food, friendly, considerate wait staff, and warm welcoming owner, we will be back. Thank You Zetland Street for showing us why local is Best! We will be back for more off your menu. The outdoor patio looks like a great place to spend an evening. You only lose a star because the entertainment in the bar was way too loud. Talented as they both were, we much preferred the conversation friendly upbeat jazz you were playing, on your sound system, when we walked in. Cheers!

Love this place! Used to visit when it was Amelias and was sad to see them close. However, I actually like it even more now! Fresh ingredients and creative dishes. The meat is local and the farms they use are even listed on the menu. My favorite dish is the salmon it has a ginger glaze that is amazing. I honestly haven’t tried anything I don’t like. My bf ordered a pork tenderloin cooked medium. It took awhile because it was quite a healthy cut of meat. We were so surprised to see how perfectly cooked it was! It was moist and tender. Well worth the wait. They also have always had a pasta special that varies and can either berde with meat or they offer a vegetarian option as well. Knowing the chicken that’s used in pasta is dark meat, I tend to opt for vegetarian as I’m not so much a fan of the flavor of dark meat. But it makes since that it would be since the meat is local and they serve chicken breasts so they obviously use the thighs in the pasta. They have gluten free desserts and a nice bar selection. It’s become our favorite date night place. They even feature local art on the walls and the owner came out to give me more information when I asked the server.

Zetland is just okay. Service is good but food and ambiance are lacking. This restaurant was so great as Amelia’s…but Zetland is just missing something. Just like Amelia’s the space is still tiny and lacks ambiance, but the food has really declined. The complementary offering for all diners are the sweet potato chips, which are okay to much on but not phenomenal. They are cold(fried ahead of time?) greasy, and half of them taste burnt; the other half taste soggy. We ordered the appetizer of satay. You could mix and match chicken peanut curry and steak chimichurri. We got one of each, and the chicken curry was good. But the steak was horribly underdone and tough. I had to saw my way through a few pieces with the knife provided. For entrees: Pasta of the moment, caprese pasta. Fresh mozz, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, peas, spaghetti, pecorino, and served with garlic naan. Honestly the garlic naan, in no way authentic, was the best part. The crispy outside char grilled smokiness with the soft fresh bread of the inside. It only came with 2 nacho sized pieces of it, and a I wish I had more of that and less of the pasta. The pasta dish was flavorless, bland, and HUGE. I felt bad wasting so much pasta, but I knew the downing another bit would not result is more flavor. To their benefit the pasta was al dente, but that was about the only good part. It was $ 15 for a vegetarian version and $ 6 – 10 for adding protein. My S/O got the filet mignon. Which by itself was good, they cooked it to medium perfection. He thought it was seasoned perfectly, I thought it was a little salty. The side of vegetables were so so(broccoli and carrots) as well as the mashed potatoes. They still tasted quite gritty and as I bit down I tasted the crunch of salt. They weren’t very well mixed, season, or incorporated at all. The result was a random salty bite here and random bland bite there. For $ 60 I know I could get a much tastier dinner for 2 elsewhere.

I had read some bad reviews when Zetland First Opened I dispelled the thought tonight. The food scallops, the wait staff everything was 5. The scallops we’re as good as a recent visit to JAG’S. The Pavlova is to die for. Enjoy!

Under new management/Chef since we visited this location last. Friendly staff, prompt service, broad menus(Burgers to Scallops) and a very nice little wine list. Dining room is small, quite and intimate — look forward to porch seething this summer. Fresh, local and organic ingredients well prepared. My wife’s salmon was raw enough for her(which doesn’t happen often) and my Pork tenderloin was a perfect medium. Spicy black bean soup was a nice start and cobbler finished the night — didn’t need it but glad I got it. We will be back, there are only so many non-chain restaurants in Dayton with interesting and high quality food, add Zetland Street to the list! And it’s 5min from our house.

Excellent option for both Vegan and Vegetarian, wife had the Tempeh loaf and I had the Quinoa burger. Both were very good. We lucked out with our 18 month old behaving but they made it easier with lots of books and coloring options to keep him occupied. Will definitely be back!

Loved the quality and attention to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We made reservations and were seated immediately. We had the beet salad to start, which we were able to share with no extra charge. I had the pork chop entrée, my husband had the filet. Both were well cooked, the sides were fresh and perfect. Then for dessert we sampled the pavlova — I had never had this before and it was so good and different. A delightful light merengue dessert with fresh fruit. That was gone at the table. We also tried a chocolate mousse special but had to bring that home. Good but very rich. We will definitely be back for another date night soon. Compliments to the chef. So nice to find a restaurant gem like this close to home. Now, it’s not inexpensive, but you certainly get what you pay for.

We loved our valentines day dinner! Found this place on Unilocal(thanks again, Unilocal!) Happy to have a farm to table place so close to home. South Dayton needed a place like this. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Hummus plate with warm naan bread was fresh and delicious. Onion rings melt in your mouth! Salads were fresh and housemate dressings were excellent. We were very pleased with our entrees as well! I got a burger, husband got the chicken special. Both were great. Will be back soon!

Really tasty farm to table place. The portions are the right size, for the right price. Leave feeling full but not over stuffed. Be prepared to wait though, it’s not a large place. However, it’s worth it. Side note they do take reservations

We ate at Zetland last week and were blown away! From the first steps in, it was a fresh and comfortable place and we felt welcomed. We were interested in the«non-GMO» restaurant that has come to town, so give it a whirl, we must! The cheddar biscuits to start the meal with were divine. Gnocchi starter had our taste buds ready for more. We decided on the steak and walleye meals. Knowing the steak is grass fed meant a lot to us, since we really try to eat«non-GMO». Grass fed steak is very hard to find and when you do, it must be prepared slightly different as the texture is much different from a corn and antibiotic filled animal. We were pleasantly surprised with the temperature and texture… both were spot on! Walleye was also a GREAT combination of flavors. Since one of the owners is Australian we decided to try the Pavlova. Literally melted in my mouth and was gone before I could blink! We love the concept of non-GMO food. We love the local sourcing and we love the idea of sustainability… what a wonderful way to attract like minded people and open up the minds of foodies in the area! Wishing Zetland Street future success — I wish other restaurants cared so much!
