Been to this location many times. The spouse gets a sweet tooth craving we we usually end up here. We love marble slab in general we were usuals at the Sugarland location when we lived there. The reason I’m giving this location 1 star is because the customer service is horrible! Not once do we ever receive a hello or greeting when we enter. I really hope management sees the poor ratings here because I agree with other reviewers, the employees don’t seem they really want to be there. The lack of enthusiasm for their job is pretty pathetic. No smiles, no greetings, barely a thank you upon check out… Way to make me feel like you appreciate my business Marble Slab on Bellaire! Next time we get a sweet craving we are going down the street to Baskin Robbins or make the drive to Amy’s ice cream because we want quality ice cream serviced with a smile. Is that too much to ask for?

Consistent with other reviews, customer service is terrible. Bought a cake and clearly wrote the name out. When I came to pick up the cake, the name was badly misspelled. They were unapologetic and extremely rude. Poor poor customer service.

One star is a being a bit too generous. I called ahead of time and they said they closed at 10:30. We arrived at 9:55 and the woman who serves refused to give us Ice cream and was extremely rude she said they were closed and asked us to leave. They have a great selection of ice cream, a great location, but an absolutely horrible, rude employees.

They have a great selection of ice cream, cones and toppings! Their ice cream is amazing and you get to put as many toppings you choose for them to mix in the ice cream. They have a few places to sit. Staff has always been nice here :) we always come back.

Can never go wrong with this Ice cream. Whether it is cold or hot outside I can always eat this treat. Ice cream makes my heart sing. Super delicious. The one thing I did not like about this location is that I could not get my spot on points which sucks bc my next ice cream would have been free.

The ice cream is usually great and the location can’t be beat; however, a little customer service would be nice. Today, I walked in and didn’t receive any kind of greeting, just a «what do you want?». I ordered my usual and then it was time to pay. The woman working the register stuck out her hand, not even saying«your total is…» or anything. After she slid my card and handed it back to me, I once again received no response. No «thank you» or «have a good night» was exchanged by the woman, but instead was given a blank stare. I am definitely a returning customer to this location, but after this experience, I think I am going to try the Baskin Robins down the street.

The ice cream was awesome as is always my experience with marble slab. The service, however, is somewhat lacking. I went last night with a couple friends at 9:50pm. I know the time because as soon as we sat down, the wait staff took the fourth chair from our table, and started putting the chairs away and cleaning around us. Thinking they were about to close, we checked the time. They don’t close until 11pm. I just thought it was a little off putting. Especially taking the chair from our table.

I am going to have to agree with some of the other reviewers on this location. The staff are soft spoken Spanish speaking women but I did not find them necessarily rude just not welcoming and energetic either. The water fountain is broken and some of the chairs are missing feet so they rock back and fourth, unless you shove something underneath. However the ice cream here is always good, it always tastes the same and I always get the same thing so I give three stars since hat is really what I am there for, I think management could make some minor changes to bring this place back to life.

We left this location this evening to go to another Marble Slab due to the lack of customer service. We went to this neighborhood location for the free frozen yogurt promo and upon entering the place, we were not even greeted. The employee just stood there and watched us walk in, so awkward that I had to make initial contact by saying Hi. When I asked him if this location was offering the promotion, the rude worker told us that the offer was over. I said it was from 4:00 to 7:00 and it was not yet even 7:00, he said the deal was while supplies last. This was not our first experience with rude staff there but definitely will be our last. We also had trouble using our Groupon there in the past. On several occassions, they made up their own rules like cash only when paying for the difference when using a Groupon. And when I came back again with cash to use the Groupon, a worker told me that the Groupon had to be printed and could not be on a SmartPhone(no where was this printed or did they bother to tell me the last time I came in with the voucher on my phone). Meanwhile, my Groupon expires and so when I went back with the printed voucher to redeem it for the amount I paid, they said it was expired(by one day, mind you) and I could not use it. After arguing with them and telling them repeatedly that I just wanted to use it for the amount I paid for it, they called the owner and he also said no. Frustrated, I walked out and called Groupon. They refunded me with the amount I paid and told me that they should have honored the amount that I paid. With poor customer service like that, no one will want to visit this location. Unfortunately, it’s the closest Marble Slab to us but it is definitely worth driving a bit further for a friendlier experience. I will definitely take my business elsewhere from now on.

About a week ago, I took the family out to ice cream after dinner. My first observation was that the server was very unfriendly and impatient acting(perhaps she had had a long day). There was no «welcome» or «hello» or «what can I get you», but rather just a stare & even a bit of eye rolling at one of my kids that changed her mind after giving her order. I didn’t see a manager around so perhaps that was part of the problem. My 2nd observation(and it wasn’t influenced by the rudeness of the staff), was that 2 of the 5 ice creams that we ordered were icy(or in my opinion not fresh) & all of the servings were smaller than normal & very light on the mix-ins. I’ve been noticing a drop in quality over the years & I’d probably have to say that Marble Slab is in the«cost containment»(cheap staff, low quality product, small servings, etc) mode similar to other larger chains. I won’t be returning to this location & probably any Marble slab anytime in the near future.

I will never, ever go back to this location. We walked in and said«hello» to the young woman behind the counter — no response. So we said«hello» again, and received a weak«hi.» Felt like an unwelcome intruder the entire time. The temperature inside was absolutely frigid with the ceiling fans on full blast, but not as cold as the customer service. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. But there were no other customers there.
