Just moved to the area last week. Decided to try this place on a Friday night with my 3 year old. The place was pretty packed but service was still very quick. I got the catfish platter and she got some chicken tenders. We both loved our meals and even decided to get a slice of cake to go. The cake was awesome! We will definitely be visiting this place again.

Whenever we are in the Galleria area we make sure to stop at Jax Grill. They give you a lot of food for what you pay for, and it is simply mouth watering. We always leave happy.

I love eating here when I’m close by. They have such a large variety of food and it never disappoints.

Look up «comfort food» in the dictionary, and you’re sure to see a photo of Jax Grill. It’s just that … no fancy surroundings, just plain good stuff. Like those McGarbage places, you order and pay at the register as you walk in, get your own silverware and beverages, find a table, wait for your number to be called, and pick up your food. But that’s where the similarity ends. I’ve yet to have a disappointing meal here … meat(really tasty burgers), salads(they’re gigantic), fish, pasta, Tex-Mex … it’s all fresh, well-prepared and plentiful. The side orders of fries and onion rings can easily feed three people … guaranteed you’ll never leave hungry. There are always several daily specials, so you’ll find some nice surprises each time(if the Reuben is one of them, by all means order it). Prices are fair, especially given the portion sizes. What I’ve also noticed is that it’s pretty much the same staff each time I go there … says lots for the ownership, given the huge turnover in the industry. It’s not fast food(thankfully not even close), but good food served pretty fast, considering that they don’t start preparing your meal until you order it … definitely among my favorite eateries.

Pretty good. It’s Ina good location. You can dine in if you want or get it to go. I had the chicken tostadas. Pretty healthy and very fresh. Rice pilaf and charro beans or black beans came with it. Super filling. Lots more options to choose from in the menu.

Jax is easily one of my favorites! They have the best Buffalo wings since Wings N More was still around and at a great price! They have huge portions and a wide selection of menu items. There’s plenty of seating both inside and out and the food comes out quick. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a neighborhood staple. I’ve been a Jax customer for years. And the food and service has been consistently good the entire time. The menu is quite large and daily specials give patrons loads of choices. There is nothing fancy on the menu but there are some staple items that are always good, mainly burgers, nachos, and huge salads. The place can get crowded during the lunch and dinner hours so plan accordingly if you plan on dining-in. Otherwise there shouldn’t be a problem. Orders are made fresh and come out rather quickly. Don’t throw away your receipt because it has the order number on it. You’ll need that number to pickup your food. The only items that I feel are not worth getting is dessert here. I feel that $ 6.00 for a slice of cake or pie is a bit pricey. I’ve also experienced flavor issues too. Once, my Italian Cream cake tasted like the refrigerator and a slice of Key Lime pie tasted«old». It is to that end that I am awarding 4⁄5 stars.

I was thoroughly disappointed. The cashier was rude. The food was over salted and cold. Definitely not on my list to try again.

Quality service and quality food every time I go! I love how they give you large portions with every meal. If you are on that side of town, I recommend you check them out…

Surprisingly awesome! From Denver visiting with some clients and they suggested this place. Not what I expected at first, but was pleasantly delighted. Really busy during the lunch rush, but it gave off a laid-back vibe. The restaurant it’self was clean and organized. Also refreshing to see into the kitchen and watching your food being made. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken. After ordering, the wait was about 5 minutes and they call your number to pick it up at the other end of the cash register. The portion was large, but still delicately assembled. The dressing was some sort of house-made Vinaigrette, but complimented the lettuce, feta, olives, and chicken exceptionally well. Definitely coming back if I’m in the area.

We had a great first time here. The staff was very friendly and the food came out very quickly. We had some chips and queso to start. It was nice and thick with a good balance of spice. My burger was great. Very simple with a good charbroiled flavor. The manager Rudy was extremely friendly. We’ll be coming back.

Ok food. The crappy loud noise passing as music gave me a headache and made me want to leave quickly.

Beware of Jax to-go packaging. We’ve been long time customers but will be no longer after our soup packaging disintegrated during a short car trip home. We ordered a tortilla and chicken & vegetable soup to go. Upon reaching our home the bottom of the chicken & vegetable soup container had decided to tire of its integral relationship with the side of the styrofoam container. This caused an immediate flooding of the thin paper bag and consequently covering my car seat in what some might describe as «sick.» Either: 1. there were toxic chemicals in the soup broth which had a negative reaction to the styrofoam 2. the styrofoam was made in the same factory as Lumber Liquidators sources their flooring 3. the life of a Jax to go container is 10 minutes or less. I assure you none of these were imprinted on the container. If you value your property you’ll choose to eat elsewhere. Things are cheap for a reason at Jax.

I really wanted this to be a good restaurant because it’s so close to my house and it has a super cute patio. But it was terrible! My 1 year old got the catfish nuggets and they tasted like a dirty fish tank smells! My husband and I both got two different salads and we’re very disappointed because we have big salads from the grocery store that actually are more elaborately made then these $ 12 ones and I would bet the fajita meat on there is premade and frozen because it also had a very old taste, as well as the French fries were definitely fried in old cross contaminated oil because they tasted just like the fish :(Again the location is so cute but there were also 2 different large groups smoking cigarettes right next to my infant and 1 year old and certainly less than the 50foot law dictates from the building.

We tried this place for the first time since it is so close to our house. It’s casual café style. We had nachos and a house special burger. Everything was very good and we look forward to trying more on the menu!

Jax Grill is a great place to go during the lunch time rush. The service is quick, and they have great portion sizes. I usually order salads, which are enough to split between two people. They are fresh, and the grilled chicken that comes with the salad has a tasty smoked flavor.

First and last time eating at Jax Grill. We ordered the cat fish and the shrimp po-boy. Cat fish was disgusting, it tasted like pond water. The bread on the po-boy was soggy and mushy, which is a no go for me. Price: terrible! 70% of the meal are potato fries which are a filler(or a «poor mans food».) How can you charge as much as you do for so much of the meal to be a filler? For those who say there is no wait time, must have not gone during the dinner hour. We waited 20 minutes just to order, then another 20 minutes to get our food. No Way! Never again!

Food, food, food. This is my 2nd time here and we did a pick up order. They have specials lined up on a table as you walk in with a menu above. There is normally a line and you order, get a ticket and find a table. They call your number and you get your food. I’ve had their burger and their buffalo wings. Both were delicious. The wings come like 10 to an order and are failry spicy and crunchy! Yum! When you pick up, you just go in and pay and the food is bagged with your ticket number @ the pick up area. Both times that we came, it was fairly busy. This is def one of our fave Friday spots to hit up!
