Old school and so good. Have been coming here for years. Nothing fancy but solid food and great value. There corned beef hash is the best I’ve had. Restaurant is always crowded with mainly regulars. New owners have carried on the great food and value of the restaurant. Waitresses have been there for decades.

If you need a break from the Houston craziness, this is an oasis, a treasure. People are talking to each other(like civilized people should!), friendly, pleasant. I love it! And the food and coffee are excellent!

A great place to have a nice meal and visit with friends before starting your day. The people there are great and friendly and it like the old TV shows Cheers. A place you can feel at home coming to.

I’m hard to please… This place is located in an unattractive a strip center and wouldn’t stand out to many at all. However, from the moment we walked in, I knew we had hit it big for breakfast. Seating is first come first serve, seat yourself. We pulled up to a booth and sat down. We were almost immediately met by a server/runner who showed up with glasses of water, and then asked if we’d like some coffee. Our food was cooked perfectly(I’m a brat when it comes to sausage patties). My wife and I ate with a tip for under $ 30. Awesome. Fast. All around great experience. I highly recommend it.

Just a great. Breakfast place, quick service, good food and they kept the coffee mug full, what more can you ask for in a breakfast place, seat yourself and they come over quickly to ask what you would like to drink

I’m a native from Bellaire. The Bellaire Coffee Shop is the popular place to go for breakfast in our community. Our social hang-out. Tommy, the owner since 1980 just sold the coffee shop to Manny & Nick a couple of weeks ago. Manny runs the front and Nick runs the kitchen. Nick has 30 years in a coffee shop kitchen in NewYork. Most of the locals who eat at BCS on a regular basis eat there for breakfast, but some of us also go for the lunch plates. There is usually a lunch special for the day posted on the board, as well as the normal lunch menu. Today was my first time to try lunch at BCS since Manny & Nick have taken it over. I tried Nick’s chopped Sirloin(fresh ground) with spinach & carrots. the chopped steak had a good griddle sear/crust and tasted great. I asked Nick what was for lunch tomorrow — Chicken casserole i’ve included pics of the lunch & breakfast boards, the menu, & today’s chopped Sirloin lunch special. Also Nick’s blueberry muffins

I came here for breakfast on a saturday morning with my toddler son. There is no hostess, so the people waiting sort of have to «self manage», which is fine. We got seated at a big long table surrounded by other people. Everyone(staff and clientele) is so friendly and talkative. I love the neighborhood atmosphere! I had the he-man breakfast with the banana nut pancakes. It was more than plenty to share with my son! I had to take some to-go. We’ll definitely be back. Food is comforting and classic.

Edit… The egg shortage pushed up prices(probably the first one in years) so now the Corned Beef Hash, 2 poached eggs, hash or Grits, and toast is $ 7. Coffee’s still $ 1.25 Mostly regulars, the staff never changes, it’s a pleasant step back in time.

It’s drizzling rain; it’s cold; it’s Saturday morning. Time to hit the Bellaire Coffee Shop. I love this place, even on much brighter mornings. Self-proclaimed foodies and people who get indignant when their eggs don’t match the Platonic ideal of eggs should go somewhere else. In fact, those people should stay home altogether. But that’s a different story. The food is good without needing to be tarted up. The portions are plentiful without straying over into the gluttony festivals at some trendier places(I’m looking at you Union Kitchen and your«Big As Your Ass Breakfast,» which doesn’t make sense linguistically or gastronomically). The guy behind the counter is on a first name basis with most of the people who come in. If you want a good breakfast or lunch, this is your place.

If you are going to have the name coffee in your business name, you should at least have decent coffee! This place was fun, small independent restaurant which I love. Service was good and the food came quickly. It’s not a gourmet five star restaurant, it’s a coffee shop, so keep that in mind if you check it out.

I wanted to try something totally new for breakfast and found this secret spot. Overall this is a decent low key place for breakfast. Typical old school diner feel to it. It’s small but worth it. Pros: –prices –options –pancakes Cons –I smelled like food when I left I’ll be back.

Bellaire Coffee Shop is the perfect place to go if you’re in the mood for breakfast or even breakfast for lunch! Don’t get me wrong, they do serve lunch as well and it’s just as good. My all time favorite is the corned beef hash house special. It’s a big meal at a low cost. I love the old fashioned diner ambiance and its got a good amount of space for groups. Situated in the middle of Bellaire it’s relatively easy to find. Next time I come back I’ll have to try whatever daily special they have to change things up a bit.

I come here whenever I have to be at a work site nearby because they have my favorite breakfast food — corned beef hash! For $ 8.40, you get corned beef hash, two eggs, toast, hash browns, and a small OJ. I probably should have gotten the large OJ because the small OJ is about the size of a kid’s juice box. The hash browns were crispy, and the toast was saturated in butter. Service is pretty fast if you sit at the bar. Whenever I walk in, I feel like I’m in a white, male, geriatric facility, but the food’s decently priced with a good size portion. I’ll be back!

Very good place for breakfast! It is not a place for the impatient… It’s extremely busy. However, for the hungry, it is worth the wait. The food is excellent and extremely inexpensive for the portions in Houston. Highly recommended!

Old school Coffee shop that your great grandparents would go with their friends. What’s great about this place is that its dirt cheap and serves the basic diner foods that you find in the south. Think of Waffle house without being a chain. My husband is super into breakfast so this was his first time and he said he wouldn’t be back. He loves omelettes and they better be right Food His omelette was bacon, sausage, and cheese. Over cooked as well as the hash browns. But for $ 5.00 at a coffee shop it looked how it should. Coffee-Taste like old grounds that have been recycled. Me-Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich-really good exactly what I expected. Side of Fried Okra-nice breading not to heavy with a good crunch from the okra. Daughter-Oatmeal biggest bowl I have ever seen with fresh bananas and brown sugar. All this for $ 18.00!!! I’m not harsh on this place because you get exactly what you expect from a coffee house. Greasy, fast, but tasty food.

On my off days, I love to come here, order corn beef hash, drink a cup of joe, read some news on my phone, and rewind. The service is quick, the costs are low, and corn beef hash is definitely the way to go! Reminds me of my grandmother’s/mother’s breakfast so I can feel their love even when I’m too lazy to cook.
