As a returning maniac each summer I have been so impressed with the quality of meats, groceries, baked goods and gift items. They outdo themselves each year. With a wider selection of items. Great people

Day’s was solid on our latest stay in Belgrade Lakes. The coffee was very good, as were the muffins. The young folks behind the counter were quite friendly. Lakeside Scoops around back also did a nice job, serving generous portions of excellent ice cream.(Gifford’s and North Street Dairy) My only quibble is that they sell postcards with my brother’s house on them, but he doesn’t get a cut! LOL

Day’s is the only general store in Belgrade Lakes, so if you’re staying in the area — this is it. They do have lots of options for food, fudge, groceries, wine, beer, etc. The prices are much higher than driving into Augusta, so if you’re coming in from that area — make your list ahead of time and go to Shaws, but if you just need to grab a quick bite and don’t want to make the long trek into town than it’s an option for sure — just be prepared to pay a bit more. It can get very crowded in the tiny walkways as well during peak hours. The staff is friendly and try their best to handle the large crowds. They have a great back area on the lawn with tables, chairs, benches to enjoy your lunch and look out onto the lake. You can even come by boat and pull up to a dock. We come once a year and row across the lake to get ice cream. The ice cream is really great! And the wild blueberry is my favorite! They also have live music in the evenings sometimes to encourage community fun.

I have been doing to days since I was tiny! We have a camp on great pond so needles to say this is a frequent in the summers! The service is great! I have always enjoyed conversing with the employees! They have a cute gift shop and a place to buy last minute fishing gear. Lots of bug spray too! Out back of days there is a place to sit by the water and a rain garden(see photos I posted) that had a small dock as well. Love the view! Downside– minimal parking.

Good spot for provisions. Staff is friendly but not very professional or organized. The store is hard to get around and their produce is very limited. Day’s has a bit of a monopoly in this tiny vacation area– good enough is good enough.

Does Days has a monopoly on Belgrade, Yes! Is it a bad thing? No. Are the prices jacked up? A little(baking soda & worms = 8 $) But not so much and if you go to Days your in Belgrade Maine and Days general store is your best option. It has a little bit of everything. Nan bread, gourmet cheese, booze, fishing tackle, hinting licensees, coffemilk, Maine touristy things and ICECREAM you know ALL the essentials. Oh and hand made bacon dog treats my puppy approves! Good coffee and breakfast in the morning. Decent lunch options. Seriously if you stop in for breakfast you will see everyone you know because where else would they go? Days tries to accommodate the many needs of tourist with great service truly a 5 star general store.

Where do I start. Days has everything from mantels for your Coleman lantern to some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Their fudge is excellent, as are their pizzas and pastries. Days has a friendly staff and a rustic Maine feel. This is almost a daily stop for me when i come to Belgrade. Cant wait to go this summer!

If your vacationing in the Belgrade Lakes area this is the go-to place for provisions. Beer, liquor, lobster, beef, groceries, fresh baked goods, and local products from the local farms that are sold at the farmer’s market(Lamb sausage and York Hill Farm goat cheese). Super friendly staff. Fresh baked bread, pastries and donuts every day. The local coffee shop closed, so make sure to take advantage of there Green Mountain coffee bar when you grab a donut. Make sure to stop by early before they sell out each day. My brother had one of there fresh baked pizza’s and raved about it. Great little gift area as well. I picked up some maple syrup and jam for gifts.

We(friends) go to Maine, to Gabe’s Family’s Cabin. Then we go to Days. Every year! Usually for fudge, thick cut bacon, and doughnuts in the morning/afternoon, though there are occasional later in the evening runs for more adult beverages. Last time we were there they had tons of sparklers and other very safe child friendly fireworks. Which was good cause we were pretty well toasted. Days is a ritual more than a business, and very nostalgic«general store.» Things are typically reasonably(ME vacation locale) priced, and you won’t mind giving them your money for whatever provisions you forgot from home. Bring On Summer in Maine.

This store is the basic general store with lots and lots in it. They have a wide selection of groceries, food and sweet treats. They have fishing gear for the locals and tourists who love the lake area. They make fresh doughnuts each morning a nd they smell and taste like heaven(unlike dunkin donuts or other chains…). as a youngin’ they used to sell small bags of feed for the ducks at the lake across the street. There is also«Lakeside Scoops» in the the back for ice cream. Definitely stop in if you are in the area. They have been in business for decades.
