Scallions – Food For Life

My wife and I stopped here while passing through Belfast. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and my wife had the black bean burger. Both were good, clearly homemade, and came with chips and a pickle. The staff were friendly, the space is clean, and prices seemed fair. Solid lunch option, but nothing crazy amazing.

Review is for the Scallions Grill: Although you can get prepared foods ready to take to work, my preferred way to get my Scallions fix is to stop in for a homemade soup or a burger. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing flavor on the burgers I have had there; I even liked the flavor of my wife’s Sriracha and Bleu cheese burger. (And I hate Bleu Cheese!)
Fair prices for the best burgers in the Belfast area.
Hours are limited but worth a stop to try their offerings.

Great soups. Wonderful wine and beer selection. Gluten free and vegetarian selections. Amazing crab cakes, crab melts and tasty deserts. Come in and grab a meal to go or eat at one of their tables. Free wifi. Shakes are also good.

Saturday lunch, I devoured an amazing blue cheese burger (perfect «medium» pink in the middle) topped with grilled sweet potato slices, sriracha sauce all delivered on a beautiful brioche roll! Wow, this is possibly the best burger I’ve ever had in Belfast Maine, maybe Mid-​coast Maine!
_​_​To-​go, back for the hard working Boss, a 16 OZ container filled with hot hearty Roasted chicken and rice soup. Word is, this was excellent! Gone far too fast for me to try it!

Monday, Day Two: The ongoing renovation at Bennett’s Gem’s Jewelry, a late lunch with the Boss.
_​_​An amazing Black Bean & Veggie Burger with chipotle mayo on a grilled brioche roll. This BB Burger could make some coverts! Some jousting regarding the ownership for this burger went on. It was so excellent!
_​_​Also a well crafted Smoothie banana, strawberry, yogurt went down during the fracas. Build this smoothie as you will.
_​_​This store has very good organic coffee with re-​fill!

Ordered food to go on a saturday… prices listed on on-​line menu was lower than what was actually charged by at least a $ 1 which for a sandwich is a pretty high mark up. Prime rib sandwich was good however $ 9.99 is too pricey and it didn’t come with anything. I would have thought it would come with a bag of chips & maybe a pickle for $ 10. Also had a chocolate cupcake which was ok. cake was dry and was too pricey at 3.99 in my opinion

Great prime rib sandwich! My moms quesadilla looked tasty. Some sandwiches to-​go and lower prices on prepared foods than most local stores.
