Tiny hole in the wall with good service and decent food. Ranch was homemade and heavy on the buttermilk. Fairly priced, will be back for sure.

My partner as we got back into the car: «That’s exactly the kind of place you want to find on a road trip.» Seriously, ten out of ten would go again. Driving up to it is a romantic experience with the red barn against backdrop the Washington overgrowth. The breakfast buffet was comfort food at its best. The biscuits reminded me of my Southern Grandma’s. The sausage was sweet. And how often have you seen eggs benedict at buffet? Truly a special treat and great start to our long drive out to see the Pacific ocean

Came in during the brunch buffet time! The food tasted great, and they had lot of different types of food available. It was a tad on the expensive side, but it was a buffet so its understandable, I guess.(~68 for 5 people) The atmosphere inside the place was pretty nice, and it had real good decorations. The tables had some fun pieces of paper with good jokes on them, which were a really cool idea! The restaurant looks a tad closed from the outside, and we hesitated on going because of it, but it was overall a really good experience!

My boyfriend and I came here during one of the live music nights. They only had one waitress so service was slow. We were understanding and didn’t pressure her to much. I’m giving this 3 stars because of the food. The food was mediocre at best. I had the chicken pot pie and the bread was amazing and possibly homemade. The soup was not very good because it was overly salty for me. We ordered onion rings and they were not fresh, they were all the same size and tasted manufactured. This place looks like a barn, it would have been nice to get fresh homemade food. That’s what I was expecting from the atmosphere and area. You’re in a rural area but you can’t get fresh onions? The place was cute and the music was actually pretty good. The little red barn’s food didn’t do it for me so I won’t be returning to eat there again.

Stopped in for dinner the other night. Wasn’t sure what to expect. We just wanted to eat in a barn. The weather’s been intolerably hot and unfortunately, Pat’s is not equipped for such weather, and the meager breeze the box fan was creating wasn’t helping. Everything felt sticky and it was a bit miserable to be in there. The dinner menu has about 8 items plus the daily special. I was hoping for something a little more than fish, steak, and fried chicken. My other half got meatloaf and I got cod. Decent sized portions, decent tasting. Nothing truly spectacular, though. I love home cooking and enjoy a restaurant that offers that type of fare, but having ventured all the way out to Belfair for a «decent» meal for almost $ 40(with tip) wasn’t quite worth it. I also don’t know if it was just my seat or if all the booths are like this, but mine was extra springy(to the point that the springs were stabbing my butt) and it sat very low against the table, making me feel like a kid at the adult’s table. There was a band playing and they were pretty good. It was cute to see all the older folks of the town shuffling in to see them play.

This place is very unique. I like it. With its Americana nostalgic charm and cooky little antiques everywhere it puts a smile on your face. Unfortunately the food, service and ethics of the restaurant lack greatly. All 10 – 12 of us pulled in one sunny Sunday afternoon to satisfy our hunger got exactly the opposite. I just wanted a cheeseburger and home fries, the waitress informed me that the home fries are to die for, she later returns telling me that there are no fries. Really? No effing fries? OK what else ya got? Potato salad. OK I’ll roll with that. Whilst this is happening the rest of my friends are ordering up. 45 min later, here comes my burger and potato salad, smothered in sweet baby rays… potato salad is obviously from safe way and I’m like fuck me running. 15 min later other meals start to roll out for my friends and then the shit hits the fan there. Orders all wrong, poor quality food, waitress on the verge of a meltdown etc. It was interesting to say the least. All in all it was a big 2 hr waste of time, but hell, at least I can say I survived pats little red barn from hell. P. S. I spoke with a Belfair local and she informed me that they have been having the same issues since the last time she was there… back in 1997! I was also informed to avoid anything food wise in Belfair all together, unless starving.

Pet’s Red Barn has been a member of the community for a long time. It is presently for sale. They do a lot to help the community.

Get the bread bowl! They bake their own Bread in a coffee tin, hollow it out, and fill with thick chx soup. The setting is charming — really inside a renovated barn.

This place is interesting. Pat let us in(we were in the parking lot waiting for the 11:30 open time). We were the only ones there(which seemed weird for a Saturday). Pat was a little rough around the edges but overall, a sweet lady. She seemed tired and later she said that she was trying to sell the place. After 25 years, SHEISTIRED! That being said, she was kind and she makes a mean Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. They had run out of hoagie rolls so she put it on their homemade bread. While that sandwich on regular bread was kind of funny, the bread was TODIEFOR. The atmosphere is fantastic. A real barn turned restaurant. She has it filed with antiques and a small little antique gift shop(more like an indoor garage sale) that is fun to check out. Kids menu was basic, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese burger. Adult menu was sandwiches, burgers and a few other novelty items like chicken pot pie. If it was your last meal EVER, I would say skip it, If it is one of many meal you see in your future it’s worth a shot.

The atmosphere was fun and eclectic, the fries were homemade and really good. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer and they were from a bag and I bit into a wet mushy one filled with cold water! Disqusting! The BBQ beef sandwich was OK but on a cheap bun with Luke warm beans. The coleslaw was good but I feel sick that I ate food I could have made better and cheaper. Won’t be back. Felt the need to review because they had such great reviews and tricked me into a horrible meal. I don’t think the beef was homemade, the beans were from a can, and the onion ring will haunt me!

Was told this was a really good place to get comfort food so I went and the service was bad the waitress got the order wrong and the brought the food to the table cold and never checked with us to see if everything was alright, oh and did I mention it took around 20 min before they took my order and then 45 min before we got our cold bland food. I WOULDNEVERRECOMMENDTHISPLACEOREATTHEREAGAIN.

Such a unique and welcoming spot. The ladies in there are very friendly, the food is good and the price is right. It’s a real gem. I recommend this place big time.

About a month or two ago, the whole family dropped in. Pat’s Little Red Barn deserves a better rating. The service was excellent, and the food was scarfed down by 3 picky children. Music in the lounge and their support of local singer song writers is great.

Maybe we went on an off-day, but the food we got at Pat’s was bland, poorly seasoned and the chicken fried steak couldn’t be cut even with a knife. Yes, it’s a cute restaurant, but cuteness doesn’t equal quality.

I’ve been coming to this Little Red Barn for over 15 years. My grandmother lives on a lake in Belfair, and I would always come visit her durning the summer. This was our spot. Now I only make it up every couple of years, but I make sure I get in at least one visit! It is homestyle cookin that will not give you a belly ache afterwards. Simply delish. I love their clam chowder, as well as their fish and chips. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. The whole atmosphere when you walk in takes you right back to the 50s… I highly recommend giving this little restaurant a try if you are in the area.

Love this place. There are antiques all over the place so there’s plenty to look at. The clam chowder is simply amazing(and home-made!). The burgers are fantastic, huge, and messy. The trek out here is, like, 20 miles, but the clam chowder with all of its smoky charm, is totally worth the drive. I would buy a bucket of the stuff, if only they sold it. Also, I love the cheesecake with blackberry sauce. So rich, so good.

These are the types of places that make American scenery authentically, Americana. Imagine driving on a small two lane country highway(Hwy 300) southwest bound along a remote part of Hood Canal, and happen upon a quaintly made sign near a large red barn. With another smaller red barn overfilled with an abundance of antiques ranging from the mid-1800s to the 1950s(ie. black, English hackney coach lamps circa 1880). The restaurant itself. There are so very few of these types of kitsch theme road-side eateries still left in the U.S., it’s always a precious surprise to find one that still exists. In fact, I know of only 3 in the entire Pacific Northwest. Close by, is the now overtly expensive«Robin Hood Restaurant Pub» in Union, WA; and wunder lodge, «Camp 18» located in Elsie, OR. Gone to their demise are places like«Rose’s», a fried chicken restaurant that once stood alongside Hwy 99 in Federal Way(before burning down in 2004?); the infamous ‘Andy’s Diner’(RIP), and the ‘Paul Bunyan’ restaurant located near the Lake Wenatchee exit. Sure, you could drive to Lynden for a taste of Dutch, or Leavenworth for a reminder of Bavaria & Tirol. But those aren’t really American per se. The food. I can’t convey how wildly amazing the food is here. Gourmet it’s not, but the creativity, the American ingenuity, that goes into items like the ‘chicken-pot-pie’ meets ‘bread top-hat’ like«Bread Bowl» –is stupendous. You can choose to fill the bowl with the alternate chili if you so desire. The bread is huge. I mean oil drum huge, and a lot like a very light version of Texas toast. Like a crispy cloud shaped into a massive cylindrical can. The chicken pie filling is little on the salty side for my liking, but stands as one of the most amazing food creations I have ever experienced in my life –U.S., Asia or abroad. Other items like the Chicken Fried Steak, Cod, Fish & Chips are a delight. Fresh made mashed potatoes are tasty and perfect. The cole slaw is THEBEST I have ever tasted in my LIFE; Durkees™, horseradish, hot mustard? Whatever their secret, that slaw consumed my soul. On the down side, the green beans with bacon taste like pre-frozen school cafeteria food, and I’d stay away from the Halibut. Instead, stick to what they seem to excel in. Home-style country cooking. If you still have room, which will be doubtful, force yourself to choose a dessert. Trust me, it’ll be worth the discomfort. Our group ordered the hot pecan pie with whipped cream and caramel sauce. And the equally as thrilling, hot Apple Pie a-la-mode. PLRB. Country Heaven.

Pat’s does it part in educating the public on etiquette with this erstwhile sign next to the toilet: «If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweetie and wipe the seatie.» In any other, more metropolitan, part of the country this place would be dubbed«Americana» but here, it’s just Pat’s. I went in and chatted with one of the two waitresses awhile back. She informed me that it’s home style cooking, done all by Pat herself. We did order the french fries while hanging out for the open mic night, and they came in a gigantic basket, skins still on, hot with grease. Yum yum! They serve the Alaskan brewskies I’m coming to adore and have open mic nights in «The Udder Room» every Friday. The first Saturday night of every month boasts the Singer/Songwriter version of the open mic night. It’s supposed to be pretty popular. Some delights I noted at Pat’s were: the wood shingled interior, the seemingly century-old travel trunk ephemera in the ladies’ room, and the middle aged drunken woman who fell over her table and smashed all the glass on it. No really though, I love Pat’s after just one visit.
