This place serves up some serious hamburgers. I had the double cheeseburger riverside style (green chile, guacamole and bacon). It was really good and the fries were good. My girlfriend had the philly cheese steak with green chile, gave me a little and it tasted great! My daughter had a kids chicken tender basket and she loved it. The salsa is some of the better salsa around, nice and fiery! The service was great and friendly! If I try to find something to complain about it would just be lack of seating and it was a little hot in the dining room. Complimentary ice water would also be nice but aside all that the food is great, you need to try this!

Never had anything good there. My son gets to go but always super salty can’t ever eat anything. Under cooked fries. Over priced and uneatable.

Discovered the perfect «hole in the wall». My buddy, Tony, and I ate here on Thursday, January 22^nd, 2016, right at noon. The place was standing room only, and looked to be littered with mostly locals, «Belenites». It wasn’t a very large restaurant, with only about seven tables to sit down at. We visited based on a tip from a fisherman (the restaurant is only a stone’s throw from the «mighty» Rio Grande) who said they had $ 1 tacos. He also told us they placed third in the annual state green chile burger contest, a huge deal to all NM residents.
The $ 1 tacos turned out to be Thursday’s special ($ 1.50 for soft) and we each ordered four. We waited about 15 minutes for our food, so I suggest phoning in your order (505−864−7918) ahead of time. Also, you might want to go a little early if you want to eat there, they only have six tables to sit at. The tacos were a tad bigger than Taco Bell’s, and the green chile salsa was on the hot side (which I loved) with just the right amount of garlic mixed in. We both agreed we could have killed five, they were so good.
We noticed they sold green chile chicken tamales for $ 18/​dozen and pork tamales for $ 15/​dozen. Next time I visit I will buy some of these.
They are opened Mon-​Sat, 8 – 3, and the daily specials are as follows:

Tuesday Bean tostada $ 1, Beef and bean tostada $ 1.50
Wednesday Tortilla burgers 2 for $ 3

Delicious they have daily specials as well. Two hamburgers for $ 5 can’t beat it. Breakfast toaster is good there it looks like a hole in the wall but those are always the best

Take out was well made. Burgers and fries were excellent. Lines are normal here. Very little seating inside so call in ahead and bring it out for eating by the river.

This place is a busy, noisy, hole in the wall and I love it. Burgers are amazing. They have very reasonable prices, especially on their specials. Locals flood the place at lunch time and they sometimes have a hard time serving the rush quickly. But even in a rush my order has always been right! This is the working man and gals mecca for the area. Cheap, tasty, and bad for your cholesterol. Perfect! The owner, Chris (not Mike as I had been calling him), is friendly and remembers even his less than frequent custom. The worst part about this place is that it closes at five. If you’re planning on going during the lunch hour consider getting carryout since the small dining area will likely be full. Any burger on the menu is good, the more toppings the better here. I love love the chorizo breakfast burrito.

I must of caught them on a bad day last time around. after hearing from locals to give it another try I did and it was much better this time around. great tasting burger and fries where perfect. glad I gave it another try. I would recommend to be prepared for a wait tho other than that good burger fries and price. busy busy at lunch call order in advance

I’ve had the food from here in several occasions ordered for pick up to eat at work with my crew, they never had a Big Mike’s burger before, I convinced them to try them, they loved them. one of the Best burger joints in new Mexico If you ask me man. The service is really good and family like. If your ever down in the area of belen go here and get yourself anything off the menu it won’t dissapoint. I promise.

Delicious and really reasonably priced. Service was also awesome.

Décor is that of a gas station that has been converted, but décor is overrated.
