Evidently the hours posted on their website(Monday-Sunday 11am-2am) are negotiable and aren’t adhered to as they should be. I’m a late night kind of gal and in Bel Air there aren’t many choices so I was really looking forward to their amazing Pot Roast. But since their posted hours are«flexible» I didn’t get to have the amazing Pot Roast. Also I tried calling them at 9pm to see how late their kitchen was open and it just rang endlessly. So I called 10 more times and it still rang endlessly. Beyond upset with The Lodge today.

I have been to The Lodge about 4 times and have yet to have a bad experience. The only reason I haven’t been there more is because I live 20 minutes away. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming for all types of events; watching the game, family dinner, date night. The food is delicious! The crab fries are the best I’ve had. Real crab meat, tons of cheese, crab dip, all of top of seasoned waffle fries. I have gotten numerous sandwiches and they were good, but I go there for the crab fries and atmosphere. The drinks are reasonably priced and they offer a variety of drinks. I tend to stick with a domestic or orange crush. The crushes are great. The first time I went they brought me a grapefruit crush and I ordered an orange, so I got to keep the grapefruit and was served an orange and only paid for the 1. That’s good service. Service is always on point. Everyone seems experienced and on top of their tables. Only negative is that in the summer a lot of people smoke on the outside seating area and bar so for a non smoker is is unpleasant, but expected. No fault of the Lodge. Must try!

My husband and I come her every year on our anniversary the last 3 years. It’s gotten to the point where the girls aren’t friendly anymore and the sight of how short their shorts are in the dining area makes me want to vomit. I understand the short shorts in the bar area. But not by the booths. I don’t come to a restaurant where we’re going to spend 70 bucks easy to watch girls walk around in booty shorts. On a better note. Their surf and turf and chicken Chesapeake is great. Alpine fries are mazin!

Have visited this establishment twice in a reasonably short period of time, both instances were during a weekend evening. The wait time for a table was approximately 30 – 40 minutes, about what the staff quoted. The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating for a family member’s infant. Decent bar selection with cold beer; the beer was very cold and tasted«clean.» The first time, I ordered ribs, which came with waffle fries, and I substituted the second side for regular french fries. The ribs were pretty good, but I was not a fan of the waffle fries(my wife differs in opinion). The second time, I tried the barbecued wings, which were very good. Overall, everyone in our party was very happy with the quality and quantity of food during each visit. The décor inside was very homey, with a log cabin or «Lodge» feel. Pros: Excellent food and service, good beer selection, outdoor bar, feels like a lodge from New England or Canada on the inside. Cons: If I had to say one, I would say the wait and how customers try to take bar table and reserve them. Not really a problem for me, but I witnessed patrons becoming hostile when a group of 3 takes a bar table for 8. Highly recommended for dinner and a couple of beers on the outskirts of Bel Air!

Nice place, decent food; however, they need to start putting some alcohol in their drinks a little weak.

I love this place. The atmosphere is great the food is great and the staff… Well they’re ok. It’s mainly the hostess area that you’ll have to wait at. Last time we walked in there was a girl seated at the hostess station but I guess she wasn’t the hostess. Instead of saying someone will be right with you she just texted on her phone ignoring us until the hostess got there. I’ve never had any problems with the wait staff. I can over look that because I love their food. My daughter usually picks this place. She loves the ski lift seats, actually so I do… it’s fun. Outside has a great sitting area too. In the winter it’s nice to sit and eat by the fire. It’s a quiet enjoyable place to relax and have a meal. Except on Friday & Saturday nights. The front bar area turns into a dance floor with a DJ. It’s still a good time but you’d think it was a totally different place.

Very disappointed! I really wanted to like this place. I love farm to table style food, and I like game food, but this place failed on a number of levels. They were out of numerous menu, including kangaroo and elk, which were items we were wanting to try. In addition, it was in a strip mall and did not exude a lodge like feel. Service was very inattentive, slow and one meal was incomplete. When the server was asked about the mistake, her response was«that happens here sometimes.» Also the men’s restroom had no working stalls or towels. We will not be back.

As I have only come here for drinks, I can’t really comment on the quality of food. I have visited during their Country Ladies’ night on Saturdays. As expected, it was incredibly packed! The service was still pretty good. However, I ran into the normal problems. Bathroom out of toilet paper, drunk girls falling all over the place, absolutely nowhere to walk inside or outside. The music wasn’t half bad. However, the crowded nature of the night didn’t allow me to order any mixed drinks(I stuck with beer) just due to the lack of space. Maybe I will return on a weekday.

Came here after a 10 mile hike. A water with lemon never looked so good. :-P I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was good. Not superb but pretty decent. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries more than the sandwich.

I truly enjoy eating at this place. Their outdoor patio is awesome in the summer. My friends and I often go there around 7 – 8 pm when the sun is going down. It has a great atmosphere inside and outside. However I would recommend not sitting the the bar area on Saturdays in the winter due to the live band and lady’s night. Their food is great, I love the mozzarella bites and their beer battered shrimp. Their nightly specials range in a wide variety and it is a good amount of food for the price. And last but not least, the beer on tap and in bottles is great. And the Orange crush is very tasty too. Bound to have a good time and leave full. The wait for a table is completely worth it or make reservations!

I like their $ 10 Tuesday meals. Usually six decent choices to choose from and you certainly get your money’s worth. May sound odd, but they have some of the freshest and best tastimg green beans(sautéed in butter and garlic). Mashed potatoes are very good as well. Very cold drafts on tap.

I’m really not sure what the big deal is about The Lodge. The food is sub par — if I had to choose a favorite it would be the mozzarella skewers or the seafood quesadilla. The drinks there are okay also. I will say that the bartenders have always been very pleasant and they do have great crushes, which they are known for. The outdoor seating is nice during the summer also, and there’s also a deck that they have that’s also open during the summer months. A lot of people go to The Lodge for their nightlife, but I’m not a big bar go-er, so that’s not really my scene. Overall, the environment is nice and the staff is friendly, but the food could be better

Haven’t had food here I didn’t like. The Rockfish bites are delicious, the wraps are excellent, and the the list keeps getting better and better. The outside area is comfy and clean and the inside décor is cozy. This is one of my favorite spots, for sure.

First time, Saturday the 6th. My review is going to echo a lot of what was previously said… the SERVICE was far from the quality I would expect. So I am stuck between a 2 and a 3. Our group was 11 people all ordering various drinks and food. The server seemed to {{disappear}} a lot and we had to go looking for her :(However…not a single complaint on the food and I would suggest the rockfish. The drink my guy and I had was poorly mixed unfortunately it’s not listed on the online menu but it was suppose to have cider, caramel, cinnamon and frankly it was just a poorly mixed not very tasty drink. If I go back I will stick to wine or beer. They do serve up FRESH brewed ice tea and I like that… a lot :) Looks like the bar area turns into a night club packed with 20 somethings on the prowl around 9:30.

Went there for the Sunday brunch. There was a good selection to choose from. Potatoes, and sausage/bacon was good, but that’s about it. The food was aesthetically pleasing, but I cant eat with my eyes. The food wasn’t all that great tasting for the price. They do $ 5 unlimited Bloody Mary’s or mimosas. I started off with the Bloody Mary and it was horrible. Tasted too earthy. The mimosa was good. I ended up having 3. I won’t go back for brunch again.

So the lodge is one of my favorite places to eat at. However i dont think it is the atmosphere for me at night. It has turned into a very, very country setting at night(cowboy hats, country music, huge trucks, and boots). Not my style but i have been to brunch. This place has THEBESTBRUNCH in harford county. The best part is… very few people actually know about it, becuase they really dont advertise it! So make sure you go, its 15.99 and worth every.single.penny. Also for 20.99 you can do bottemless bloody marys and mimosa, oh yes. seriously though go! As for dinner, we love the rockfish bites, i had a waitress tell me that they are acutally not rockfish. But regardless they are delicious and worth getting. Also the rosemary fries are amazing! I have had great experiences with the waitresses, but the bar tender at one point charged me $ 15 for a mixed drink because she range it up separately. I just didnt think that was right, and she was rude about it.
