Positive: This store is clean and aesthetically pleasing. They have a cool organic section, comprised of about 3 aisles, where you can find healthier stand-ins for everyday products. Think gluten-free breakfast bars, organic/fair-trade tea, almond butter, etc. Negative: As a person whose diet subsists mainly of fresh produce, I’ve walked out of Giant with an unfulfilled grocery list several times. They’ve been out of kale, arugula, cilantro, and yellow squash(during their peak seasons). In that case I head down to Wegmans. They always have everything I need.

I remember how this building used to be a hardware store and a video rental place, it was such a big deal that a grocery store would be there but I’m very glad there is. This Giant is always clean, well stocked and inviting. Staff are always busy but willing to help as much as they can. The pharmacist is helpful and quick, the floral department has never let me down either. A corsage for under $ 5 that looks like a $ 20+ one is a win in my book. Not to mention the seafood department always prepares expert steamed shrimp while you shop and the deli is always handing slices of cheese to the kiddos. If I have to criticize — no inside bank which numerous other Giants do have(a partnership with PNC) and some better signage directing you throughout the store. However these definitely don’t deter me from continuing to shop there and you can usually find some great deals.

Just stopped in to grab a few things to make dinner for my daughter who lives in the area and was at home with her new baby. I arrived there at the right time! They were celebrating the opening of another store in Belair and had some great deals. I got a Perdue Oven Stuffer Roaster for 79 cents a pound. Also some nice fresh broccoli and strawberries in the produce area. I also found some bread, bagels, and muffins that had been marked down. I got over $ 7 off with the reduced coupons on them. The date to sell was today but they still were very fresh. The staff in the bakery were very helpful and sliced the bread for me. When I went to check out there were lines and a worker offered to help me at the self check out since I had the special coupons. You always need someone with a special card when you get the marked down items from bakery. She actually stayed around and helped bag the food. It was raining very hard and it was good to get in and out quickly. The store was very nice and clean but the people working there were the best. Everyone said hi and asked if I needed help. You know I hate to go to new grocery stores and wonder around looking up at the signs for the right aisle. I believe this is an older store with the way things were set up and it was on the smaller size… But sometimes the smaller ones give better personal service as was the case today with this Giant. Definitely will not hesitate to shop here again.
