I purchased meat from the Meat Market and it was good. Their customer service, however, is horrible. I was charged twice when their credit card machine ran out of paper. They refused to acknowledge I was charged twice(after seeing proof from my bank) or refund my money. Good product or not… customer service is key to getting repeat customers. I will not be one of those.

First off I own a company called The Meat Man and as you may well guess I deal with a lot of different quality meats. Anyways, I purchased two Ribeyes from Beech Grove Meat Market recently and I am being completely honest when I tell you it was by far the worst cut of beef I have ever tasted. Had a putrid freezer burnt kinda flavor. Totally disgusting! If I had to wager I would say it’s def«no role» beef that has been handled extremely poorly. Will never purchase anything from there again. Besides the entire store has a foul stench as well.

Since moving to Beech Grove, I have completely stopped shopping at Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, etc. and started shopping at the Meat Market. Their prices are very competitive and their meat is very fresh. Their employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you are wanting to go local to get your groceries, make sure you check out this gem!

I had been wanting to visit the Beech Grove Meat Market for a while, and finally decided to stop in a few months ago. I was impressed! It reminded me very much of a small town grocery store, but with a full service meat counter at the back! They had a pretty nice selection — it’s nothing gourmet, but they have good, fresh meats and a friendly, competent staff. I took home a beef pot roast, pork roast, whole chicken, homemade breakfast sausage links and some ground beef. Overall, I was very happy with my selections. The prices were pretty good, especially for having the personal service of a real, live person behind the meat counter… and getting it all wrapped up in that pretty white butcher’s paper, which just feels so much cleaner and classier than the typical styrofoam tray and shrink wrap that you get a chain grocery stores. My favorite item that I purchased was the sausage links — enjoyed them as breakfast for dinner that night! The meat market also has party trays, deli sandwiches and salads. If you have an elderly relative in the Beech Grove area, they also will do free local delivery for them. At the meat market, you can also special order larger meat packages(variety, beef or pork) which range from $ 38 for 15 pounds of various pork cuts or $ 129 for 10 pounds ground chuck plus 15 pounds of various steaks. If you have carnivorous habits, then head to the Beech Grove Meat Market!
