Cool little dive bar. The beer list was pretty good and had a few things I’d never scene before. The bartender was nice and knowledgeable. I also liked the art work. Horrible bathrooms though, so tiny. I was surprised you could still smoke in the bars here, but I guess that’s normal in PA?

New to town, I was looking for a great neighborhood pub and I quickly found it in the Village News. Although their tap system is limited, their bottled beer selection is awesome (even for a bar in a larger population area). The regulars there are friendly and the bartenders are quite knowledgeable about beer.

I was passing through and decided to stay in Bedford for the night. The toll-​booth operator suggested Village News and Bad Boyz.
Prices weren’t bad, the bartender was nice, and the locals took me in and were very friendly. This is a great small-​town bar. I highly recommend!

Nice, quiet, laid-​back atmosphere. NO KIDS! Yey! This is a quaint little village pub/​newstand that serves simple fare. I had a very good turkey club, fresh tomato and lettuce and the bacon was crispy. It was presented nicely and delicious. Husband had a big breakfast platter with the works and it was good. I wish there were more places like this.
