Since I moved to Bedford last year(2014), I have gone to Sears Hometown Store for many things that I needed for my new home: mattresses, garage door openers(2), freezer, shop vac, and most recently a refrigerator. I have been very satisfied with all that I have bought at this store. The service and helpful staff are great. The owner, Joe, accompanied the two delivery men who were both new on the job, when they delivered my new refrigerator yesterday 12/11/2015). Joe wanted to make sure that the men did a good proper job, and they did! The old refrigerator was removed and taken away. The new refrigerator was brought into the house, no scratches, no damage to refrigerator or to the house(walls, doorways, tile floor, etc.). They moved slowly but out of caution. That made me happy! They also removed plastic that covered drawers and shelfs inside the refrigerator and they carted it all away. No mess, no bother. They plugged the refrigerator in to make sure all was working as it should and gave advice about the refrigerator’s many nice features. This was very good personal type service as you should expect from a local store. I’ll definitely be returning to this store in the future!

I stopped here a couple times in my search for a washer/dryer set and found the sales guys very helpful. They never ran out of patience as I quizzed them on the differences between several models I was considering. I ended up deciding on one of the most affordable sets in the store, which came with a discount for using the Sears credit card, a $ 75 rebate for the HE washer and an incredibly low energy estimate. Really, $ 13 a year to run this thing? We’ll see! I opted for the $ 80 delivery and installation fee. They offer free store pickup, but after reading reviews that this particular washer model can get messed up easily if you don’t install it correctly, I thought the fee was worth it. The delivery guys were kind and efficient, offering plenty of insight into how best to take care of the washer, how the energy efficient components work, the best bars to visit in the area – useful information for a new resident!(; The only thing that I’ll mention is that I was told I needed to get a dryer cord, but not the shiny vent thing. Luckily, the delivery guys had one to spare. Phew!
