Love this place. always great atmosphere, good food, and excellent service. Orange chicken is the best around. Please stop by and see these guys.

Best sushi place ever! Amazing prices and even better food. The staff here are amazing and very friendly! I won’t eat sushi any where else!

Love MK! Best sushi around in my opinion. Tempura veggies are spot on, rolls are always filled up, and their nigiri have huge pieces of fish. Prices are appropriate for quality and quantity. The lunch menu bento boxes are a steal!

I used to go to the MK Sushi on Western Center every Friday for lunch when I worked out that direction. I sometimes stop by this one off of 183 when I’m en route to somewhere. They have great lunch bento boxes. I always get the sashimi bento. The fish is very fresh. The sashimi bento has a lot of food! The restaurant is very dark inside. Not sure what it is but every time I leave, I walk outside and am blinded! Mk’s is a great lunch option.

Attentive staff, prices were fair. Ambiance was so so. Clean restaurant, but not like most sushi joints with lots of buzz and energy. Just kinda there. Sushi menu combinations where fine. Portions were good but the rolls were huge-no way to use chopsticks. I had to use a fork to cut my roll into four pieces-that just destroys the flavor and beauty of sushi for me. Will if return? No Would I recommend it? Yes and no, I just wouldn’t say it’s bad. Just not my favorite. Everyone is different so try it.

Pretty good for HEB. Clean, nice ambience, good service, low prices, tasty sushi. Close to a few bars you can walk to afterwards.

I love this place because they open pretty late unlike most sushi place that close around 2 or 3 pm and re open around 5pm. I love their lunch special. In my opinion, their sushi is just ok. During lunch I like to get their bento box which the tempura or chicken katsu bento. I think they need a lil bit improvement on their sushi! other than that this place is cool!

This place was just fabulous from beginning to end I went here with a group of friends and family in 2013 just out of curiosity. «Well curiosity didn’t kill the cat, although satisfaction did bring it back» lil joky joke. But anywhoo, we had a blast that day the sushi was on point anything we ordered and the drinks were phenomenal. Straight and to the point the atmosphere was swanky and non crowded and quietly entertaining. Wasn’t overly expensive either for what food we had and drinks. This lil sushi hole in the wall is definitely a great find for it to be placed in a strip mall in Bedford, TX. I do recommend.

Came here for a friends bday. I was surprised at the selection. We got about 8 different rolls. They were fresh, inventive, and fun. I believe two of the rolls we got had strawberries and mangos. Jamaican roll and maybe a Caribbean roll? I can’t quite remember. Cool though. The rolls are complex and there is a lot going on. For me, that’s too many flavors. I mean I get it, it’s just not my taste. Also you run into rolls so big with so many ingredients that it’s not longer a single bite affair and it’s not very binding. It falls apart. That’s half of the reason we get sushi. It’s bite sized. This was the first time I ever had to use a fork with sushi. The price was a tad expensive. It was better than some places but not yet high class sushi. Next time I’ll get the simpler rolls. They were cheaper and would appeal to be more I think. That could change the rating and experience.

I’ve been twice — both times on a Saturday during Happy Hour. They have an amazing drink menu with great prices. During my first visit, I had my first sake bomb which was a unique experience and I have to do that one again! Both times I had the spicy tuna roll(this is the only seafood I eat) and it was fantastic! I also tried miso soup for the first time. Where has this soup been? Wow! So delicious! I can’t wait to have it again. I can’t forget about the tempura fried vegetables… another delectable delight! I never thought fried broccoli would be so good! I must not forget the service — it was perfect! The atmosphere is so calm and peaceful… it’s like I’m on a vacation in an exotic locale.

Always a pleasure coming to this place. The new décor is nice and the ambiance is low-key unlike many other restaurants. I have to say the highlight other than the outstanding fish is the service. So glad this place is close by!

A quick first time weekday visit to MK’s Sushi was pleasant but not over the top. Maybe it was the happy hour sushi selections we made. The food was presented in an attractive manner. The servers were attentive. The service was timely. Atmosphere was quiet enough for conversations. Everything seemed clean. We ordered a cucumber salad and Kim Chee as sides. The salad was attractive, presented in a champagne glass but my dining companion described the taste as «cleaning fluid.» Some dressing gone wrong. The happy hour pricing was good. Spicy tuna, spicy crab roll, shrimp tempura, and Ahi tower. The tower was our favorite. I had water and she had hot tea. Before tip $ 33.

Well. I returned to MK Sushi tonight to take my daughter to try sushi for her first time and as my Valentine’s Day date. If you read my other review of this place, you’ll see I liked it very much and that’s why I came here tonight. They closed at 10 tonight and man were they in a rush to get out. The food was good as usual, but the uncomfortableness they made us feel to leave was inexcusable. At 10 on the nose, they had put all the chairs on the tables, except ours, and actually turned out the lights in the dinning room. I’ve worked on restaurants before and the proper way is that you wait until the last table is done before cleaning and turning out the lights. Thank God I wasn’t here with a date I was trying to impress, I would’ve been very embarrassed. I am very disappointed in MK Sushi and quite frankly, after spending $ 100+ I am insulted. Go here early in the evening if you go here. Do not go in the last hour they are open(we came in at 9:10). You will be made to feel as if you are unwelcome and it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth in what would’ve been another 4 star rating. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Good sushi and a decent price. Not the best stuff around but this place has around 6 rolls under $ 10 and another 10 rolls under $ 12 this Susi place is relatively one the cheaper end(of course it is still sushi, so you know what that means $$+) This is a good, average place, the service is really good and the wait staff is really fast. Worth your time to check this one out.

Great sushi! We got our usual — tempura veggies, ahi tuna tower, and a roll — firecracker roll. Two glasses of Pinot Grigio to go with dinner. Service is fantastic — team approach so before you are done all of the wait staff will have helped you. Check out the sushi chefs — they are great to watch. Food is quickly delivered, and always good. And the tempura veggies make eating your veggies a wonderful thing. My mom would be proud! The sauce is wonderful; a great counterpoint to the hot tempura(and it is always really hot!) Can’t wait to go back!

First of all, the food was great. I got the Ahi Tower on happy hour price which was $ 10 down from $ 13. Super good deal! It was beautifully displayed, came with lots of delicious sauces, and tasted better than any tuna tower I’ve had at any other place I’ve been to. The food I would give 5 stars. The service? Probably 2 stars. That’s why they get 3 stars from me. First of all, I asked if they had a booth available when we walked in, and the server gave me an annoyed look, justly said«no.» and walked off(we were supposed to follow) and sat us at a table. My friend exclaimed humorously, «She might as well have added a ‘bitch’ to the end of that response. No bitch! Does it look like we have a booth?» She took our drink order, brought us water, took our sushi sheets, brought us our sushi, and that was it for service. No refills. No checking in. We had to flag someone down for the check.

I enjoyed my lunch here a lot while studying for an exam a few doors down. The server was friendly and attentive and the food was good. I had the Chicken Katsu bento. It came with a side of steamed rice, California roll, side salad, orange and a nice portion of the cutlet. The ambience was nice and quiet. I’ve never been to any of the other MKs, but this one proves that MK hasn’t gotten caught up in the sushi franchise industry.

I get the same thing to go here every time. The restaurant is always pretty empty when I stop by. The staff is always friendly. My food is pretty much always ready for me when I arrive The samurai roll is the bomb. It’s tuna, crab, and cucumber wrapped in soy paper topped with salmon and a sweet/spicy sauce. It’s tasted fresh every time I’ve ordered it, never disappointed. This roll turned me on to soy paper. I actually prefer it over the seaweed. I tried a couple of pieces of tuna sushi and it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t the worst. I would not order it again though.
